교류전기철도 급전시스템의 전차선 전압해석 (Analysis for Catenary Voltage of The ATs-Fed AC Electric Railroad System)

  • This paper presents exact Autotransformers(ATs)-fed AC electric Railroad system modeling using constant current mode far locomotives. An AC electric railroad system is rapidly changing single-phase load, and at a feeding substation, 3-phase electric power is transferred to paired directional single-phase electric power. As the train moves along a section of line between two adjacent ATs. The proposed AC electric railroad system modeling method considers the line self-impedances and mutual-impedances. The constant current mode model objectives are to calculate the catenary and rail voltages with the loop equation. When there are more than one train in the AC electric railroad system, the principle of superposition applies and the only difference between the system analyses for one train. Finally, this paper shows the general equation of an AC electric railroad system, and that equation has no relation with trains number, trains position, and feeding distance.

  • This study presents the AC railway system modeled by EMTDC in detail. The ,model made by EMTDC have a lot of advantages. It could be available for the system change, simulated repeatedly and also applied regarding very complicated systems. EMTDC simulations to verify this model are compared with the hand calculations. It is confirmed that the model made by EMTDC is correctly designed.

  • The electric railway has been widely used as a transportation all over the world. It also was opened in 1973 in korea and it has been steadily proceeded in making electric railway network for a big city and building Keongbu high speed , electric railway. That's why the system of electric railway is able to solve the environmental pollution and operate the useful energy in environmental ways, it helps to increase the ability of transportation and to decrease the cost. Because of the advantage of making the economic situation better, the system of electric railway is trying to do their best in developing technique of electric railway. Because of the increasing of transportation and the high speed operation, cars with regenerative braking system was adapted. Therefore, unbalanced voltage and current of three phase system and the drop and rise of voltage of feeding circuit is expected. Now that building the substation, newly spends lots of costs and time, it is a very difficult situation to solve the problem. We can guess that electric railway line can't receive power from the power system of bigger size in building newly electric railway. In this paper, it was proved that series voltage compensator was suitable as a solution according to voltage drop and voltage fluctuating through computer simulation.

  • The electric power, regenerated while railway vehicles braking or running downhill, makes U line voltage rise and the feeding system may not be secure. In order to keep away from these kind of insecurity, the regenerative energy should be consumed by loads or transmitted to the AC side via certain devices such as DC/AC converters. This paper introduces the developed regenerative inverter for electric railway.

  • In an electric railway feeding system, transient over-voltage often appears due to the feeder's direct lightning and induced lightning, while switching over-voltage also frequently occurs during operation of electric feeding in substation facilities. Such over-voltage is several times larger than the regular power, and accordingly leads to the dieletric breakdown of eletric power products such as invasion transformers and circuit breakers. Arresters are installed to protect these machines, while arrester counters are installed to observe the arrester's activation. This thesis aims to explore the status of an arrester counter that is being activated several thousand times, determine whether the arrester has actually been activated in relation to the counter, and investigate the over-heatedness and risks of the arrester.

  • In case of DC railway, value of ESS(Energy Storage System) is already approved. Whereas AC railway system, there are a lot of differences such as system design and operation pattern. Therefore there is doubt about AC ESS usefulness. Especially, regenerative energy can return to the source. So in case of AC 25kV system, it is necessary to consider different operation algorithm compare to DC railway system. In this paper ESS which is installed in AC high-speed railway was introduced. Power consumption pattern of High speed trains were analyzed, proper storage material was reviewed and operation algorithm was suggested. Super capacitor and Battery was used with hybrid type. Super capacitor was used to handle short term energy movement because of its prompt response and battery was used to handle long term energy movement because of its high energy density. Also in case of operation algorithm, phase control method was upgraded compare to voltage magnitude detection method.

  • This paper analyze scenario of feeder wire fault that occurs in the AC feeding system considering train position. The fault location of AC feeding system is calculated by measuring impedance. However, in this way, estimation error can be occurred because of tie connection, boosting current, etc. Therefore, it's hard to find fault location, so that it is required to detailed circuit analysis according to fault location. We analyze the short circuit impedance values with respect to feeder wire fault according to a train position. In this paper, PSCAD is used for modeling and analysis of AC railway feeding system.

  • The rectifier for Electric railway is one of the most important facilities in DC urban railway which converts power from KEPCO(AC 22.9kV) to the electric mil car(DC 1.5kV), therefore it should be managed as the best condition for the drive. There are several things to cause performance degradation and deterioration of parts such as pollutants occurred by it established under the ground such as dust or foreign substances, rapid changes of driving current, and pyrogen which put the rectifier for Electric railway in malfunction. On the flow of time, the rectifier for Electric railway is causing a malfunction or failure which drive electric rail car in operations as well as loss of life. In this research we try to find the way of removing the various components of mal-functions in the performance of the rectifier for Electric railway by Over-Haul and reform itself, which gives us to get the chance investment of the reduction, the reliability of power supply to the electric rail car.

  • The traction power demand highly varies with time and train positions and the traction load is a large-capacity current at single phase converted from 3-phase power system. Subsequently, each phase current converted from 3-phase power system cannot be maintained in balance any longer and thus the traction load can bring about imbalance in three-phase voltage. Therefore, the exact assessment of voltage unbalance must be carried out preferentially as well as load forecast at stages of designing and planning for electric railway system. The evaluation of unbalance voltage in areas, such as electric railway depots should be a prerequisite with more accuracy. The conventional researches on voltage unbalance have dealt with connection schemes of the transformers used in ac AT-fed electric railroads system and induced formulas to briefly evaluate voltage unbalance in the system(3). These formulas are still being used widely due to their easy applicabilities on voltage unbalance evaluation. Meanwhile, they don't take into account detailed characteristics of ac AT-fed electric railroads system, being founded on some assumptions. Accordingly. accuracy still remains in question. This paper proposes a new method to more effectively estimate voltage unbalance index. In this method, numerous diverted circuits in electric railway depots are categorized in three components and each component is defined as a two-port network model. The equivalent circuit for the entire power supply system is also described into a two-port network model by making parallel and/or series connections of these components. Efficiency and accuracy in voltage unbalance calculation as well can be promoted by simplifying the circuits into two-port network models.
