Corrosion Rate of Buried Pipeline by Alternating Current

  • An alternating current (AC) corrosion on buried pipeline has been studied using coupon and ER probe. Coupons and ER probes were applied to the sites from high value of AC voltage to low value based on the survey of AC voltages on buried gas transmission pipeline over the country. Parameters such as AC current density of coupon, AC voltage, cathodic protection potential, soil resistivity and frequency were monitored continually. Corrosion induced by AC was observed even under cathodically protected condition that met cathodic protection criterion (; below -850 mV vs. CSE). Corrosion rate was affected mainly not by AC voltage but by both of frequency and AC current density. An experimental corrosion rate relation could be obtained according to effective AC current density, in which AC corrosion rate increased linearly with effective AC current density, and its slope was 0.619 in coupon method and 0.885 in ER probes.

  • 인가 전압에 의해 수축 팽창하는 원통형 PZT tube와 단일모드 광섬유를 이용하여 마이켈슨 간섭계형 교류 전류센서를 제작하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 신호처리장치는 측정전류의 주파수에 무관하게 전류의 크기를 측정할 수 있었다. 전류의 크기는 교류 전류의 반주기 내에 생기는 간섭무늬의 개수로 측정하였다. 간섭무늬의 개수는 전류의 크기에 따라 선형적으로 변화하였으며, 온도변화($-20^{\circ}C{\sim}\;80^{\circ}C$)에 따른 오차는 5% 이내였다.

  • Diverse digital filters have been designed previously to eliminate powerline(AC) interference in the electrocardiouam. This paper describes filtering methods which have been developed recursive notch, adaptive, IEF(Incremental Estimation Filter) and proposes a new AIEF(Advanced Incremental Estimation Filter) method. The performances of these filters are compared on artificial signals as well as actual ECG signals with the aid of validated CSE(Common Standards for Quantitative Electrocardiowaphy). AC interference in this database is shown to exhibit two qualities especially relevant to filter design : considerable deviations from a nominal 60Hz frequency and substantial noise at higher harmonics.

  • Adaptive noise cancelling using system identification techniques for cancelling power line interference in the electrocardiogram (ECG) is presented. This method is sensitive and self-adjusting to both slow and abrupt changes in the AC interference amplitude and frequency. Computer simulation were done to compare this method with the Lekov's method.

  • This paper analyze the interference problems, especially AC corrosion when the gas pipeline is buried with power cable in the same submarine tunnel. This paper present the results of the study about AC corrosion, limitation of safety voltage, modeling of power cables, gas pipeline and grounding systems, analysis of induction voltage according to various circumstance, soil resistivity, length of tunnel. and so on.

AC 서보모터 제어 프로그램 구조 설계 및 구현 (Structure Design and Implementation of AC Servo Motor Control Program)

  • This study proposes an AC servo motor control program structure and its implementation method to efficiently integrate 13 types of additional compensation algorithms into the basic FOC (field-oriented control) algorithm program. Various compensation algorithms are necessary to enhance the stability and performance of machine tools by compensating for interference from disturbances and vibrations. Each compensation algorithm is implemented as a separate, independent function and called from a switch-case statement in the ISR (interrupt service routine) of the PWM (pulse-width modulation) device. The advantages of this approach include facilitating not only debugging and testing but also reducing the possibility of errors during the program development phase. Thus, it is easy to add and activate each specific compensation algorithm for the program update during the program operation phase. The implemented motor control program was experimented with a single-axis feed shaft testbed driven by a commercial AC servo motor control drive board and a 750 Watts SPMSM (surface-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor), and the results verified its normal operation and performance improvement.

  • The demand of the power and gas energy have been rapidly increasing with the industralization, therefore, the area where buried pipelines run parallel with the adjacent power lines and cross them increases in Seoul as well as other cities. These situation cause AC interference from the power lines. However, there aren't any standards to preserve the pipelines from AC interference in Korea. This study introduces the separation distance to protection of buried pipeline from arc strikes caused by power line ground fault current. And this study examines and compares the arc distance through case study.

  • 나일론의 종류에 따른 분쇄형 탄소 섬유/나일론 복합재료의 직류 및 교류 전도도, 그리고 전자기파 차폐 효율을 조사하였다. 탄소 섬유의 함량이 약 7 vol%에서 전도도가 급격하게 증가하는 percolation 전이가 관찰되었다. 나일론 46을 기저 수지로 하였을 경우 더욱 높은 전기 전도도를 나타냈으며, 계면 결합제의 적용 여부에 따라 전도도의 차이가 발생하였다. 온도증가에 따라 전도도가 증가하는 negative temperature coefficient 현상을 나타냈으며, percolation 전후의 탄소 섬유 함량에서의 주파수에 따른 전도기구를 완화와 공진 현상으로 각각 달리 설명할 수 있었다. 회로망 분석기를 통하여 측정한 전자기파 차폐 효율은 전도도 및 탄소 섬유의 함량에 따라 증가하였으며, 높은 전도도 영역에서의 전자기파 차폐 효율은 반사에 의한 차폐가 지배적이었다.

하향링크 다중 사용자 MIMO 통신 시스템을 위한 확장형 고정복잡도 스피어 복호기 (An Extendable Fixed-Complexity Sphere Decoder for Downlink Multi-User MIMO Communication System)

  • 본 논문에서는, 하향 다중 사용자 MIMO 환경에서 간섭 검출 및 제거를 하기위해 확장된 fixed-complexity sphere decoder (FSD) 알고리즘이 제안되었다. 제안된 알고리즘은, generalized sphere decoder (GSD) 알고리즘을 이용한 채널행렬 확장과 간섭신호와 요구신호를 고려한 채널행렬 순서화를 통해 FSD 알고리즘을 간섭신호 검출에 활용 가능하도록 확장 하였다. IEEE802.11ac의 통신모드 중 네 명의 다중 사용자에게 각각 702 Mbit/s 전송이 가능한 환경의 몬테카를로실험을 통해서, 제안된 알고리즘이 10% packet error rate기준으로 간섭제거 기능이 없는 maximum-likelihood 검출성능 대비 $E_b/N_0$가 약 3 dB 향상됨을 보여주었다.
