계룡시에 분포하는 귀화식물과 환경지수 분석 (Analysis on Environmental Indices and Naturalized Plants Distributed in Gyeryong-si, Korea)

  • 본 연구는 충청남도 계룡시에 분포하는 귀화식물에 대해 객관적이고 체계적인 조사 및 분석을 통해 귀화식물의 생태적 특성을 파악하고 개량도시화지수, 개량교란율, 총합 환경지수를 제안하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 본 지역에서 확인된 귀화식물 수는 15과 35속 47종 등 총 47분류군으로 나타났다. 생태계교란야생식물은 미국쑥부쟁이, 애기수영, 가시박, 단풍잎돼지풀, 돼지풀 등 5분류군이 조사되었다. 행정구역별 분석 결과, 신도안면은 33분류군, 엄사면은 29분류군, 두마면은 31분류군, 금암동은 18분류군으로 나타났다. 생활형 분석 결과, 지표식물 6분류군, 반지중식물 8분류군, 지중식물 2분류군, 일년생식물 31분류군으로 나타났다. 환경지수 분석 결과, 도시화지수의 범위는 6.5~11.8%, 개량도시화지수 0.3~5.3%, 교란율 18.2%~36.4%, 개량교란율 0.9~16.4%, 총합 환경지수 0.6~10.9%로 분석되었다. 계룡시 전체의 개량도시화지수, 개량교란율, 총합 환경지수는 16.8%, 45.5%, 31.2%로 나타났다.

Human Papillomavirus Genotype Distribution and E6/E7 Oncogene Expression in Turkish Women with Cervical Cytological Findings

  • Background: Infection with certain human papillomavirus (HPV) genotypes is the most important risk factor related with cervical cancer. The objective of the present study was to investigate the prevalence of HPV infection, the distribution of HPV genotypes and HPV E6/E7 oncogene mRNA expression in Turkish women with different cervical cytological findings in Mersin province, Southern Turkey. Materials and Methods: A total of 476 cytological samples belonging to women with normal and abnormal cervical Pap smears were enrolled in the study. For the detection and genotyping assay, a PCR/direct cycle sequencing approach was used. E6/E7 mRNA expression of HPV-16, 18, 31, 33, and 45 was determined by type-specific real-time NASBA assay (NucliSENS EasyQ$^{(R)}$HPV v1.1). Results: Of the 476 samples, 106 (22.3%) were found to be positive for HPV DNA by PCR. The presence of HPV was significantly more common (p<0.001) in HSIL (6/8, 75%) when compared with LSIL (6/14, 42.9%), ASC-US (22/74, 29.7%) and normal cytology (72/380, 18.9%). The most prevalent genotypes were, in descending order of frequency, HPV genotype 66 (22.6%), 16 (20.8%), 6 (14.2%), 31 (11.3%), 53 (5.7%), and 83 (4.7%). HPV E6/E7 oncogene mRNA positivity (12/476, 2.5%) was lower than DNA positivity (38/476, 7.9%). Conclusions: Our data present a wide distribution of HPV genotypes in the analyzed population. HPV genotypes 66, 16, 6, 31, 53 and 83 were the predominant types and most of them were potential carcinogenic types. Because of the differences between HPV E6/E7 mRNA and DNA positivity, further studies are required to test the role of mRNA testing in the triage of women with abnormal cervical cytology or follow up of HPV DNA positive and cytology negative. These epidemiological data will be important to determine the future impact of vaccination on HPV infected women in our region.

Camembert Cheese 숙성 중 Casein의 변화에 관한 연구 (Changes in Caseins during the Ripening of Camembert Cheese)

  • P. caseicolum V.B.와 복합유산균을 사용하여 제조한 Camembert cheese를 45일간 숙성시키면서 카제인 변화와 그에 따른 기호성을 조사하였다. 숙성과정 중 수용성 질소, 비카제인태 질소, 비단백태 질소량은 증가하였다. pH 4.6-insoluble casein의 전기영동 결과 숙성 10일에는 4개의 band에서 45일에 12개의 band로 분리되었는데 ${\alpha}_{s1}-casein$은 숙성 17일에 완전히 분해되었으며, ${\beta}-casein$도 숙성 45일 동안 거의 대부분이 분해되었다. 또한 pH 4.6-soluble casein fragments의 gel filtration에서 숙성 10일에는 3개의 fraction, 24일까지는 4개의 fraction이 나타났고 31일부터는 5개의 fraction으로 분별되었다. 관능검사 결과 숙성 31일된 Camembert cheese의 기호성이 제일 높았으며, 숙성이 진행됨에 따라 hardness는 감소하였고 관능적 기호성과는 0.1%의 유의수준으로 높은 상관관계를 나타냈다.

  • 본 연구에서는 군산 인근해역의 준설토를 식생이 가능한 녹생토로써 토목현장의 사면안정화 및 해양공간개발에 사용이 가능한 생태 환경형 재료를 만들고자 한다. 식생발아 특성을 분석하기 위해서 군산 인근해역의 준설토에 Bio 개량제(0%, 6%), AC(아미노산) 개량제(0%, 6%), 톱밥비료(0%, 6%), 산 흙(0%, 50%)으로 처리한 준설토 개량제 실내 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과, 군산 새만금 준설토의 경우 SM시료로 분류되었으며, 수목생장조건이 불량하여 개량제(톱밥비료, Bio 개량제 등)의 사용이 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

  • Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are a major pattern recognition receptor that recognize the structure of invading pathogen and play key roles by triggering immune response. In this study, we identified a sequence of TLR homolog and characterized at molecular level from the abalone (Haliotis discus hannai). Multiple alignments and phylogenetic analysis of abalone TLR protein belongs to the TLR 2/6. Expression level of abalone TLR 2/6 in the tissue was comparatively high in the mantle, gill, digestive duct, and hemocytes, but lowest in the muscle. Expression level of abalone TLR 2/6 mRNA in the mantle, gill, digestive duct, and hemocytes was 20-fold, 60-fold, 115-fold, 112-fold higher than in the muscle, respectively. Expression level of abalone TLR 2/6 mRNA in the mantle was steadily increased until 12 h and decreased post-infection with Vibrio parahemolyticus. While the expression level of abalone TLR 2/6 mRNA in the gill and hemocytes was drastically increased at 6 and 9 h post-infection with Vibrio parahemolyticus, respectively. These results suggest that abalone TLR 2/6 is conserved through evolution and may play roles similar to its mammalian counterparts.

NTAㆍNi2+-Functionalized Quantum Dots for VAMP2 Labeling in Live Cells

  • An efficient method for labeling individual proteins in live cells is required for investigations into biological mechanisms and cellular processes. Here we describe the preparation of small quantum dots (QDs) that target membrane surface proteins bearing a hexahistidine-tag ($His_6$-tag) via specific binding to an nitrilotriacetic acid complex of nickel(II) ($NTA{\cdot}Ni^{2+}$) on the QD surfaces. We showed that the $NTA{\cdot}Ni^{2+}$-QDs bound to His-tag functionalized beads as a cellular mimic with high specificity and that QDs successfully targeted $His_6$-tagged vesicle-associated membrane proteins (VMAP) on cell surfaces. This strategy provides an efficient approach to monitoring synaptic protein dynamics in spatially restricted and confined biological environments.

Evidence of spin-phonon coupling in La2NiMnO6 double perovskite

  • Herein, a correlation between B-site cation order and spin-phonon coupling in La2NiMnO6 double perovskite has been investigated. Raman spectra of La2NiMnO6 double perovskite annealed at 950 and 1400℃ have been measured in the 140-598 K range. A substantial softening of the phonon modes has been observed below the Curie temperature, which emphasized the presence of the spin-phonon coupling in the system. The spin-phonon coupling was found to be stronger in relatively more ordered La2NiMnO6 double perovskite. Thus, the magnitude of spin-phonon coupling was influenced by the Ni/Mn cation order.

DCT 블록의 멀티미디어 핑거프린팅 (Multimedia Fingerprinting in DCT Block)

  • 본 논문에서는 DCT 블럭에서 실행되는 멀티미디어 핑거프린팅 알고리즘을 구현한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 DRM의 한계성을 개선하고, 콘텐츠 제공자의 워터마킹과 콘텐츠 사용자의 핑거프린팅을 분리 수행함으로써 위조 및 변조된 콘텐츠의 부정자를 판단하는 책임경계를 결정할 수 있다. 콘텐츠 제공자의 $128{\times}128$ 영상에서 블록크기 $8{\times}8$에 워터마킹 삽입강도 ${\Theta}$는 0.5~1.2까지 적용하여 PSNR은 Inf~46.6dB로 측정되었으며, 콘텐츠 사용자는 블록크기 64 픽셀 범위 내에서 BIBD 기반 코드길이가 l=7,15,31,64를 사용자의 수 n=7,15,31,63에 따라 핑거프린팅 코드길이 또한 l=7,15,31,63으로 PSNR은 Inf~46.1로 측정되었다. 위조 및 변조된 콘텐츠의 부정자 추적은 n-1까지 확장되어 추적율은 1에 접근 되었다.

Functional Characteristics of Cyclodextrin Glucanotransferase from Alkalophilic Bacillus sp. BL-31 Highly Specific for Intermolecular Transglycosylation of Bioflavonoids

  • The functional characteristics of a ${\beta}$-cyclodextrin glucanotransferase (CGTase) excreted from alkalophilic Bacillus sp. BL-31 that is highly specific for the intermolecular transglycosylation of bioflavonoids were investigated. The new ${\beta}$-CGTase showed high specificities for glycosyl acceptor bioflavonoids, including naringin, rutin, and hesperidin, and especially naringin. The transglycosylation of naringin into glycosyl naringin was then carried out under the conditions of 80 units of CGTase per gram of maltodextrin, 5 g/l of naringin, 25 g/l of maltodextrin, and 1 mM $Mn^{2+}$ ion at $40^{\circ}C$ for 6 h, resulting in a high conversion yield of 92.1%.

  • A robot manipulator is a nonlinear time varying MIMO system. Therefore, when a robot manipulator operates at high speeds, the performance of pursuing its trace becomes worse due to the increased nonlinearity of system. Several nonlinear control methods are introduced for solving this problem. But, these methods need a large amount of calculations, so it is necessary to use the controller equipped with a faster and more efficient processing ability. In this paper, we designed the Rhino XR-3 Robot Controller which controls five joints concurrently. To reduce the size of the controller and to control 6 dc-servo motors in real time, we use the TMS320c31, the high-speed digital signal processor.
