Studies of Pharmacological Activity on New Oral Cephalosporins (새로운 경구용 세팔로스포린의 약효평가)

  • ${\beta}-Lactamase$ stability, chemotherapeutic activity, and pharmacokinetics of 7-[(Z)-2-(2-aminothiazole-4-yl)-2-methoxyiminoacetamido]-3-[4-(2-pyridyl)piperazinyl]thiocarbonylthiomethyl-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid(CEN1), 7-[(Z)-2-(2-aminothiazole-4-yl)-2-methoxyiminoacetamido]-3-[4-(2-pyrimidyl)piperazinyl]thiocarbonylthiomethyl-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid(CEN2), pivaloyloxymethyl-7-[(Z)-2-(2-aminothizaole-4-yl)-2-methoxyiminoacetamido]-3-[4-(2-pyridyl)piperazinyl]thiocarbonyl-thiomethyl-3-cephem-4-carboxylate(CEN1P), and pivaloyloxymethyl-7-{(Z)--2-(2-aminothizaole-4-yl)-2-methoxyiminoacetamido]-3-[4-(2-pyridyl)piperazinyl]thiocarbonyl-thiomethyl-3-cephem-4-carboxylate(CEN2P) were examined. CEN1, CEN2, CEN1P, and CEN2P were very stable to the ${\beta}-lactamase$ obtained from three strains(Enterobacter cloacae P99, Escherichia coli TEM, and Citrobacter freundii). Chemotherapeutic activities$(ED_{50})$ of CEN2 and CEN2P against experimental systemic infections due to Streptococcus pyogenes 77A and Escherichia coli 078 were superior to those of CEN1 and CEN1P, respectively. The $ED_{50}$ values of CEN1, CEN2 were 5.82 mg/kg, 0.89 mg/kg(s.c., S. pyogenes 77A) while those of CEN1P, CEN2P were 14.56mg/kg, 6.40mg/kg(p.o., S. pyogenes 77A), respectively. The pharmacokinetics of CEN1, CEN2, CEN1P, and CEN2P were investigated in mice and rats. In mice, peak blood levels of $1.25\;{\mu}g/ml$ were recorded within 20 min after oral administration of a single dose equivalent to 40 mg/kg CEN1P. Cmax of CEN1P was much higher than that of CEN1 in mice and rats. Oral absorption of CEN2P was much higher than that of CEN2.

P2P Streaming Method for QoS-sensitive Multimedia Multicast Applications (QoS에 민감한 멀티미디어 멀티캐스트 응용을 위한 P2P 스트리밍 기법)

  • As the IP multicast function is very slowly deployed in Internet due to its scalability problem and inter-domain interoperability problem, interest in the P2P(Peer-to-Peer) streaming technologies for the realtime multimedia multicast applications such as IPTV is highly growing. This paper proposes a P2P streaming method for the QoS-sensitive multimedia multicast applications such as highly-interactive personal IPTV and video conferences. The proposed P2P streaming method allows an application to construct a reliable streaming tree in which a proper number of backup peers are placed according to its reliability requirement. The reliable streaming tree reduces the reconnection delay, occurred in the case of a normal and/or abnormal peer leave, so as to minimize the loss of streaming data. In the proposed P2P streaming method, the join delay of a peer called startup delay is also substantially reduced because the bandwidth and end-to-end delay information of every peer kept in a distributed way allows the target peer for a joining peer to be able to be quickly determined. Moreover, the proposed method's peer admission control mechanism based on the bandwidth and end-to-end delay enables the delay-bounded streaming services to be provided for its corresponding applications.

  • One of the unsolved problems in Artificial Neural Networks is related to the capacity of a neural network. This paper presents a CoreNet which has a multi-leveled input and a multi-leveled output as a 2-layered artificial neural network. I have suggested an equation for calculating the capacity of the CoreNet, which has a p-leveled input and a q-leveled output, as $a_{p,q}=\frac{1}{2}p(p-1)q^2-\frac{1}{2}(p-2)(3p-1)q+(p-1)(p-2)$. With an odd value of p and an even value of q, (p-1)(p-2)(q-2)/2 needs to be subtracted further from the above equation. The simulation model 1(3)-1(6) has 3 levels of an input and 6 levels of an output with no hidden layer. The simulation result of this model gives, out of 216 possible functions, 80 convergences for the number of implementable function using the cot(x) input leveling method. I have also shown that, from the simulation result, the two diverged functions become implementable by precalculating the weight values. The simulation result and the precalculation of the weight values give the same result as the above equation in the total number of implementable functions.

A Delay-guaranteed Overlay Network for P2P Streaming Service (P2P 스트리밍 서비스를 위한 지연시간 보장 오버레이 네트워크)

  • P2P streaming technology has advantages of scalability and availability comparing to the popular IP multicast. This paper proposes an approach to apply the P2P streaming technology to the delay-sensitive multimedia multicast applications. In order for the P2P streaming to be applied to the delay-sensitive applications, prior construction of delay-guaranteed overlay network is necessarily required. Moreover, the delay-guaranteed overlay network should be able to be kept even when the hand-overs occur owing to the departures of the intermediate P2P peers. This paper proposes a delay-guaranteed overlay network construction method by using the bandwidth and end-to-end delay based admission control and the backup peer based hand-over control mechanism.

  • P2P Systems have grown dramatically in recent years. Now many P2P systems have developed and been confronted by P2P technical challenges. We should consider how to efficiently locate desired resources. In this paper we integrated the existing pure P2P and hybrid P2P model. We try to keep roles of super peer in hybrid and concurrently use pure P2P model for searching resource. In order to improve the existing search mechanism, we present contents-based classification mechanism. Proposed system have the following features. This can forward only query to best peer using RI. Second, it is self-organization. A peer can reconfigure network that it can communicate directly with based on best peer. Third, peers can cluster each other through contents-based classification.

Change in Growth of Chrysanthemum zawadskii var. coreanum as Effected by Different Green Roof System under Rainfed Conditions (빗물활용 옥상녹화 식재지반에 따른 한라구절초의 생육 변화)

  • This study aims to suggest a suitable soil thickness and soil mixture ratio of a green roof system by verifying the growth of Chrysanthemum zawadskii var. coreanum as affected by different green roof systems using rainwater. The experimental planting grounds were made with different soil thicknesses(15cm, 25cm) and soil mixing ratios (SL, $P_7P_1L_2$, $P_6P_2L_2$, $P_5P_3L_2$, $P_4P_4L_2$) and with excellent drought tolerance. Ornamental value Chrysanthemum zawadskii var. coreanum was planted. The change in plant height, green coverage ratio, chlorophyll content, fresh weight, dry weight, and dry T/R ratio of Chrysanthemum zawadskii var. coreanum were investigated from April to October 2009. For 15cm soil thickness, the plant height of Chrysanthemum zawadskii var. coreanum was not significantly different as affected by the soil mixing ratio. However, it was found to be higher in the amended soil mixture, $P_7P_1L_2$, $P_6P_2L_2$, $P_5P_3L_2$ and $P_4P_4L_2$ than in the sandy loam soil, as it was SL overall. For 25cm soil the plant height differences were in order to SL < $P_7P_1L_2$, $P_6P_2L_2$, $P_5P_3L_2$ < $P_4P_4L_2$. The green coverage ratio was observed not to be different by soil mixing ratio with soil thickness of 15cm, but, the lowest green coverage ratio in the SL. In the 25cm soil thickness, the green coverage ratio was 86-89% with a good coverage rate overall. The change in chlorophyll contents with 15cm soil thickness was found to be the highest in the SL treatment and the lowest in the $P_5P_3L_2$ treatment. For 25cm thickness, the highest value was in the $P_4P_4L_2$ and SL, and the lowest in the$P_7P_1L_2$. Fresh weight and dry weight were larger in soil with 25cm thickness. Therefore, the growth of Chrysanthemum zawadskii var. coreanum as affected by a different green roof system for using rainwater was higher in soil with 25cm thickness than 15cm, and in PPL amended soil than in sandy loam.

Modification of Hepatic Microsomal Cytochrome P450 2E1 Enzyme by Garlic Powder in Rat Hepatocarcinogenesis

  • This study was designed to investigate the effects of dietary garlic powder on cytochrome P450 enzymes and membrane stability in murine hepatocarcinogenesis initiated by diethylnitrosamine (DEN). Male Sprague-Dawley rats received a single intraperitoneal injection of DEN (200 mg/kg body wt) dissolved in saline. After 2 weeks on a basal diet, animals were fed diets containing 0. 0.5. 2.0. or 5.0% garlic powder for 6 weeks, and were subjected to two-thirds partial hepatectomy. The areas of placental glutathione S-transferase (GST-P) positive foci were inhibited in rats fed with garlic diets. GST-P is the most effective marker for DEN-initiated lesions. Hepatic microsomal lipid peroxidation was significantly decreased in rats fed with 2.0 and 5.0% garlic powder diets compared with that observed in the control animals and hepatic microsomal glucose 6-phosphatase (G6Pase) activity was found to increase significantly in rats fed 0.5 and 2.0% garlic powder diets. Thus as little as 0.5% garlic powder has a positive effect on the stability of hepatic microsomal membranes. p-Nitrophenol hydroxylase (PNPH) activity and the level of cytochrome P450 2E1 protein in the hepatic microsomes from rats fed diets containing 2.0 and 5.0% garlic powder were much lower than those of control microsomes. Rats fed 5.0% garlic powder diets exhibited the lowest P450 2E1 activity and protein levels among groups. Pentoxyresorufin O-dealkylase activity and immunoblot (cytochrome P450 2B1) analyses were not different between groups. However, the levels of cytochrome P450 1A1/2 protein in rats fed 0.5 and 2.0% garlic powder were significantly induced compared to controls. These results suggest that 2.0% garlic powder is effective in inhibiting the areas of GST-P positive foci, modulating certain isoforms of cytochrome P450 enzymes and stabilizing the hepatic microsomal membrane. Thus, the selective modification of cytochrome P450 enzymes and membrane stability by dietary garlic powder may influence areas of GST-P positive foci and chemoprevention of post-initiation of rat hepatocarcinogenesis.

  • In this paper we prove that the alternating groups A_n, for n = p, p+1, p+2 and symmetric groups $S_n$, for n = p, p+1, where p$\ge$3 is a prime number, can be uniquely determined by their order components. As one of the important consequence of this characterization we show that the simple groups An, where n = p, p+1, P+2 and p$\ge$3 is prime, satisfy in Thompson's conjecture and Shi's conjecture.

  • Tn these server oriented network forms, users allowed to approach the a certain server only in slave and passive way, and are limited in sharing informations, and internet choose from a method of traditional centralized web server until now, so we pay a lot of money and have a problem of maintenance management. The P2P is the new solution of these limitations, but there is no verification about the possibility and validity of p2p as the business model. This parer offering to some solution for those problems using the JXTA technique and P2P compution. We will apply the JXTA platform that wireless environment as mobile environment. The JXTA technique can be interoperability between third-party. This paper is implementation of P2P communication system on mobile environment. It's implementation used by JXTA technique, J2ME and XML.
