Productivity of public organizations was far older due to issue more difficult to measure than private organizations. Unlike the private sector, the public sector is a diverse and sometimes conflicting objectives (efficiency, effectiveness, equity, democracy, etc.) exist, it is difficult to measure productivity in a single index. Many departments of government is intricately interrelated and sometimes produced by the joint efforts, it is difficult to allocate performance, incentives and accountability to among departments. And there is the difficulty of collecting data on the productivity indicators of public organizations. Despite these difficulties, we developed a productivity index system and measuring method to systematically introduce the concept of productivity in the local administration. In this paper, the productivity and the productivity index measurement practices of local governments conducted annually from 2011 on was deep into research. First, the report found examples of the governments of the developed countries, productivity measurement, then the way MOPAS(Ministry of Public Administration and Security) measure productivity index of local governments, success factors, the implications were in-depth analysis. Finally, in order to enhance productivity and competitiveness municipalities studied ways to take advantage of the productivity index.

This study is regarding development of an index table for antomation of welding process in impeller fabrication. A PLC, which is widely used for automation in industry, was also adopted as a controller for the index table because of it effectiveness, easy maintenance and repair. The index table consists of centering jig, blade jig, workbench, driving system and a controller. A touch screen was also prepaired as a man-machine interface to provide convenience for workers. Water jacket was installed inside the workbench to reduce thermal stress come from the welding. Temperature of the water jacket was kept constant to cool an impeller main plate effectively. The index table developed in this study convinces that it reduces the total welding time by 50% compared with the conventional process without the table.

A satellite remote sensing is useful for vegetation monitoring. But it has some problem. One of these, it is difficult to find a difference of vegetation surface roughness using satellite remote sensing. Each vegetation type has unique surface roughness, for example needle leaves forest, broad leaves forest and grassland. Difference of vegetation surface roughness can be detected by satellite multiangular observation. In this study, objective is to propose index of vegetation surface roughness using BRF property. General vegetation indices are calculated from nadir data of satellite data. A proposed index is calculated from two different observation zenith angle data. Two different zenith data can provide BRF (Bi-directional Reflectance Factor) property of satellite observation data. A proposed index was able to detect different value on where NDVI shows similar high value areas of rice field and forest. This index is useful for vegetation monitoring.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of this factor on the macroeconomic variables for the healthcare industry market. First, the government bond interest rates and the exchange rate is the cause variable of drug industry index. Drug industry index is a mutual influence between the Call interest rate. Second, the medical equipment index haver mutual cause variable such as call rate index, government bond interest rates, and exchange rate. A current account balance variable is the cause variable of drug industry index. Third, the drug industry index has a negative relationship with a Call interest rate and an exchange rate. but it has a positive relationship with a government bond interest rates. the medical equipment index has a negative relationship with an exchange rate. but it has a positive relationship with a government bond interest rates.

This study developed a flood index which evaluates runoff characteristics. Runoff characteristics expressed in a hydrograph were reflected in the flood index in the form of characteristic factors such as a rising curve gradient, a peak discharge, a flood response time, and a flood discharge volume prior to peak. This study applied the standardization method to estimate the relative severity of the characteristic factors by transforming the distribution of characteristic factors into the standard normal distribution. The flood index developed in this study is a comprehensive flood index (CFI) which makes up for the weak points of a flash flood index (FFI) in determining relative severities. The CFI was applied to Han River basin and Selma River basin, and was compared with the FFI based on the correlation analysis and the regression analysis. The CFI could comprehensively evaluate flood runoff characteristics because the CFI is not dominated by a specific characteristic factor, and the CFI could explain more efficiently the relationship between rainfall and runoff than the FFI.

This study proposes phonation type index k as a descriptor of the overall spectral tilt, which is free from the effects of fundamental frequency and vowel quality. The newly proposed phonation type index k presents a simple and single measure of the overall spectral tilt. Phonation type index k can be applied to speech technology. It can also be used in diagnosing patients voice qualities in speech pathology. The distribution of phonation type index k, which is speaker-dependent, may be useful in forensic phonetics and voice recognition as an indicator of speaker identity.

Cho and Kim [4] and Kim [6] introduced the concept of the competition index of a digraph. Cho and Kim [4] and Akelbek and Kirkland [1] also studied the upper bound of competition indices of primitive digraphs. In this paper, we study the upper bound of competition indices of strongly connected digraphs. We also study the relation between competition index and ordinary index for a symmetric strongly connected digraph.

A sequence of functions are examined for the gradient-index AR thin film between two dielectric media and are used as the starting profiles in optimization to improve AR performance. Sinusoidal functions were quite efficient to use as components of the index change in the optimization. It is shown that there exist a number of gradient-index profiles which exhibit excellent AR-performance after control of the gradient-index profiles.

The first Zagreb eccentricity index $E_1(G)$ of a graph G is defined as the sum of squares of the eccentricities of the vertices. In this paper some bounds for the first Zagreb eccentricity index and first Zagreb degree eccentricity index are computed.

공간데이터를 관리하는 공간 index structure는 대부분 순차처리를 위한 구조를 가지고 있다. 많은 응용분야에서 방대한 양의 공간 데이터는 보조기억장치(예: disk)에 저장이 되어 사용이 되고 공간 index structure의 operation은 I/O에 대한 의존도가 크므로, I/O operation의 병렬처리는 공간 index structure의 질의반응시간을 현저하게 줄일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 PPR-tree라는 병렬형 공간 index structure를 제안한다.
