  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the following contents: 1. Relationship between clothing behavior(modesty, conformity, importance) and clothing regulations of school girls. 2. The differences between middle school girls and high school girls in clothing behavior and in attitude toward clothing regulations. 3. The differences between students herself norms and subiective norms(the students thoughts which would be parents opinions and teachers opinions) in attitude toward clothing regulations. Questionnaires were designed and administered to 300 middle school girls and 302 high school girls in Inchon. The obtained data were statistically analyzed by Pearson’s correlation coefficients, t-test, F-test, and Duncan test. The results of the study were summarized as follows: 1. As tho the differences in responses between school levels, the high school girls showed higher interest in conformity. But there is no differences in Modesty and Importance by school levels. 2. As tho the differences in responses between school levels, there were no differences in attitude toward clothing regulations. But according by types of clothing regulations, high school girls showed higher desire in shoes and sack. 3. In correlation coefficients between the variables on clothing behaviors and the attitudes toward clothing regulations of school girls, modesty is the most related toward clothing regulations of school girls and conformity, importance the next. The higher the school girls are in modesty, the more follow the clothing regulations. And the higher the school girls are in conformity and importance, the lower follow the clothing regulations. 4. • The purpose of this paper is to suggest rules and regulations about a bike parking facility, With the objective of expanding bike parking facilities for the comfort of bikers. In Korea, the requirements to establish the facility comply with several regulations like laws for the encouragement of bike usages, rules and regulations for the encouragement of bike usages, regulations of Gyeonggi Regional Corporation rules and Korea National Housing Corporation(Korea Land and Housing Corporation) and requirements for the approval of green buildings. Such rules regulate the number of parking spots depending on the number of nearby houses and the size of a parking facility. Amongst the foreign regulations about the facility is 'obligatory regulations for the establishment of a bike parking facility' in Japan. In the United States, all states apply rules about the bike facility to determine the number of bike parking spots in accordance with the number of car parking spots. Comparing Korean rules regarding the bike parking facility with those of foreign governments will give a good insight into the current situation of Korean regulations. In order to investigate the current usage of bikes, 30 houses in Goyang city, 35 schools, 16 retails shops and 20 medical centers were researched. Thereafter, a correlation test between the size of buildings and the number of bike parking spots was carried out. The result of the test indicates that there is a lack of space for bike parking. It is recommended that the bike parking facility be installed with a convenient access to a building in order to increase the rate of bike usages.

  • T Recently, the government has been promoting the expansion and supply of renewable energy as an alternative for achieving carbon neutrality and the nationally determined contributions by 2030. In 2020, the Ministries of Industry and Environment and the Korea Forest Service collaborated to build a nationwide onshore wind energy siting atlas considering wind resources and forestry and environmental regulations focused on central regulations. In this study, the ordinances of the local governments were analyzed to examine the effects of regional location regulations on the expansion of onshore wind power energy generation facilities, in addition to those of central regulations. A development permit standard survey of 226 urban plan ordinances of the local governments nationwide showed that presently in 2022, 52 municipalities are applying regulations on wind energy generation facilities by ordinances. This is twice more than that in 2018, when renewable energy power generation facility development was difficult. Additionally, the location regulations applied by these ordinances were organized by items and regions, and regulatory characteristics, such as the number and scope, were analyzed by regions. To analyze the spatial distribution characteristics, JeollaNamdo was selected as the case area. A spatial DB was established for regulated areas based on the regional and central regulations, and the spatial distribution characteristics and the regulatory scope were compared and analyzed.

  • The purposes of this study are to analyze the realities after enforcements of safety control regulations for diagnostic X-ray equipments and to suggest means for an improvement of low radiation safety control. A questionnaire survey for medical radiologic technologists was carried out to determine enforcement effects of the safety control regulations. The results of analysis from the survey are as follows. That is, most of the respondents realized the importance of the radiation safety control system, but about a half of them revealed that the regulations were not well observed in accordance with their purposes. Only 43.9% of the respondents took an active part in quality control and safety control of radiation. And respondents responsibility, sex, age, and knowledge for safety control were important indicators for observations of the regulations. Trainings for the safety control regulations are needed to ensure safety control and proper usage of diagnostic X-ray equipments. And management of organizations using diagnostic X-ray equipments have to understand and stress the importance of radiation safety control system.

  • The Occupational Safety and Health Act holds that industrial safety helmets can be used as protective equipment to prevent the risk of injury in fall accidents. To better understand the importance given to PPE for the head, we analyzed the relevant regulations and guidelines in developed countries and reviewed the guidelines on testing safety helmets. The PPE regulations in Korea were notably different from those in other countries. First, except in Korea and Japan, safety helmets were used for protection against falling objects, flying objects, impact, or electric shock. However, the regulations did not recognize safety helmets as a PPE against fall hazards. Second, the impact energy applied on the helmet was within the range 50-100 J, and the helmet could protect only the upper part of the head against hazards such as the impact of falling objects, flying objects, etc. Third, in Korean regulations, the term "fall" was used in relation to the parts where the safety helmet was specified as a fall hazard PPE, unlike in other countries. We propose that the term "fall" should be revised to "shock" in Korean regulations for the safety helmet.

  • This paper presents the possible effects and restrictions that may arise in the field of industrial construction due to compliance with relevant construction codes and regulations, as well as the ways they can be favorably handled in the design of industrial buildings. Designs should be based primarily on human design factors, while considering the human as the centre of the work environment. Design parameters should be described as a function of both the physical and psychosocial attributes of a person as well as the technical and economical aspects on the design of industrial construction. This paper is an examination of the connection that exists between design law (codes and regulations) and industrial construction. The relevant construction laws and regulations are described, including standards and codes of practice that designing and supervising engineers are obliged to observe. Possible solutions and consequences of development in the production, constructional, and ergonomic field of design are also discussed.

  • Anti-circumvention rules were discussed profoundly during the Uruguay Round and the DDA negotiations, although WTO members failed to reached an agreement to introduce it to the WTO Anti-Dumping Agreement. However, as the cases of circumvention of anti-dumping duties increase, a number of countries have enacted anti-circumvention regulations as part of their anti-dumping laws. This study aims to analyze anti-circumvention rules from the perspective of WTO law. After overviewing the object and purpose of anti-dumping and anti-circumvention regulations, it examines anti-circumvention regulations of the US, the EU, and India. Next, the study explores the possible WTO-inconsistent aspects of those regulations. Then, it discusses whether it would be preferable for countries not equipped with anti-circumvention regulations, such as Korea, to have one. Thereafter, this study proposes Korean government to introduce anti-circumvention rules into its anti-dumping law.
