Installation and Performance Evaluation of 100kWp PV System in Tibet (중국 티베트지역의 100kWp급 태양광발전시스템 실증연구)

  • This paper present the performance evaluation of PV systems installed at Tibet area of China in order to identity the key factors that determines system operation at a severe climate conditions and promote the cooperation of PV technology between Korea and China. The installed systems consist of 100kW on-grid connected PV systems, BOS(balance of systems), data acquisition and transmission equipments. The Korea side supplied the solar cell, BOS like as inverter, control box and monitoring system. And the Chinese side assembled solar module, constructed site and built control house. It has been shown that the average radiation per monthly from Tibet is 1.5 times larger than that from Mokpo. Also, radiation time from Tibet is 2hour higher than that from Korea.

  • The world has problem of petrifaction energy exhaustion and environment pollution. We are looking up various solution plans regarding this problem. Solar power is one of the solution to solve the energy shortage problem. But solar power is affected by insolation. So we study tracking solar power system for the generation of electricity more. In this paper, we compared fixed solar power system with horizontal and vertical tracking solar power system. Two method were on he Maximum Power Point(MPP) using Solar pro.

  • This treatise composes 450 [W] small size PV systems as thing for output elevation of PV system, investigated kind of output loss parameter. And, referred clear day and cloudy day about loss among the much parameters. Also, examined about loss between storage battery from system output part. Experiment result, could know that loss between storage battery is big from output part, and could know that output by that get dirty of module surface is decreased.

  • 본 논문에서는 독립형 태양광 시스템의 설계에서 배터리 용량 선정 방식에 관련하여 부하손실확률(LLP: Loss of Load Probability)이 0 인 기준을 토대로 시스템 무정전 전력공급을 위한 시행 착오법을 제안하였으며 시스템의 수명주기비용(LCC: Life Cycle Cost)을 분석하여 기존 시스템에 비해 경제성을 높이고자 한다. 제안한 방식의 검증을 위하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.

  • 웹서비스는 표준 프로토콜인 HTTP를 이용하기 때문에 방화벽의 제약이 없어서 어디서나 실시간으로 통신하여야 하는 모니터링 시스템 특성상 꼭 필요한 기술이다. 또한, XML로 기술된 SOAP 메시지는 플랫폼 독립적이고, 시스템 확장과 통합에 유리하다. 본 논문에서 구현한 웹모니터링 시스템은 웹서비스를 이용하여 설치가 용이하고, 인터넷을 통해 원격지의 태양광 발전 시스템을 관리, 감시하는데 제약이 없으며, 신재생에너지 산업 통합에 적용될 수 있다.

  • Photovoltaic(PV) power generation system has been extensively studied and watched with keen interest as a clean and renewable power source. On the other hand, because the output power of solar cell is not only unstable but uncontrollable, the maximum power point tracking(MPPT) control is still hot issue with the tracking failure left unsolved under the sudden fluctuation of irradiance. Hence, in this paper, we introduce the mechanism of the tracking failure under the fluctuation of irradiance, and show the simulation results using SPRW(simulation method for PV power generation system using real weather conditions).

  • A low-cost, large area, random, maskless texturing scheme independent of crystal orientation is expected to significantly impact terrestrial photovoltaic technology. We investigated silicon surface microstructures formed by reactive ion etching (RIE) in Multi-Hollow cathode system. Desirable texturing effect has been achieved when radio-frequency (rf) power of about 20 Watt per one hollow cathode glow is applied for our RF Multi-Hollow cathode system. The black silicon etched surface shows almost zero reflectance in the visible region as well as in near IR region. The etched silicon surface is covered by columnar microstructures with diameters from 50 to 100 nm and depth of about 500 nm. We have successfully achieved 11.7% efficiency of mono-crystalline silicon solar cell and 10.2% multi-crystalline silicon solar cell.

  • Solar cell converts sunlight into the electricity that one of the most versatile forms of energy. It has been developed and applied on residental electric power system by urbanized countries as a alternative energy source to overcome energy problem after oil shock. This paper summarizes the results of these efforts by offering a snapshot of the configuration of photovoltaic in residential applications. The status of PV system components and inter-connection and safety equipment will be summarized. Hence this paper discusses only points that might be useful for application.

  • The paper presents implementation of a PV fuzzy logic power tracking controller. Using maximum power point tracker with the intermediate converter can increase the system efficiency by matching the PV system to the load. A new fuzzy MPPT is proposed, where fuzzy inputs parameters are dp/dI and the last incremental of duty of duty ratio $L{\delta}D$, and the output is the new incremental value $(new{\delta}D)$ according to the maximum power point under various illumination levels.

  • Since the solar radiation is main input for sizing any solar photovoltaic system and solar thermal power system, it will be necessary to understand and evaluate the insolation data. The Korea Institute of Energy Research(KIER) has begun collecting horizontal global insolation data since May, 1982 and direct normal insolation data since December 1992 at 16 different locations. Because of a poor reliability of existing data, KIER's new data will be extensively used by solar energy system users as well as by research institutes. Among some significant results, the yearly averaged horizontal global insolation was turned out 3.61 kWh/$m^2$/day and the yearly mean 5.38 kWh/$m^2$/day of the direct normal insolation was evaluated for clear days.
