Hierarchical Folded Hyper-Star Network(HFH): A New Interconnection Network Based on Folded Hyper-Star Network (계층적 Folded 하이퍼-스타 연결망(HFH): Folded 하이퍼-스타 연결망을 기반으로 하는 새로운 상호연결망)

  • In this paper, we propose a new interconnection network topology, hierarchical folded hyper-star network HFH($C_n,\;C_n$), which is based on folded hyper-star network. Our results show that the proposed hierarchical folded hyper-star network performs very competitively in comparison to folded hyper-star network and hierarchical network HCN(m,m), HFN(m,m) have been previously proposed, when diameter ${\times}$ degree is used as a network cost measure. We also investigate various topological properties of HFH($C_n,\;C_n$) including connectivity, routing algorithm, diameter, broadcasting.

  • Since 2009, stars produced through audition programs have appeared through the process of establishing familiar ties with viewers, unlike stars created by entertainment agencies. This study is a case study that examines the characteristics, roles, and identity of internet live broadcasts (Labang) of vocalists Kang Dong-hoon and his fan cafe(fan community) who appeared in JTBC Phantom Singer 3 in 2020. As a result of the study, fans gathered around SNS even before the fan cafe was created, at their request, 'Labang' began. "Labang" is a "freely participating talk show" in which fans actively participate. This brought about the bond of fans, a sense of belonging, and the activation of fandom. Both stars and fans recognized "Live Broadcast" as "a window of communication to get to know each other," and expressed satisfaction that they could see the sincerity of familiar and unpretentious stars, not unrealistic images reproduced on TV through "immediate comment communication." "Labang" consists of a variety of contents, including stars' daily lives, music activities, broadcast appearances, and hobbies, and is showing "aesthetic differentiation" from those who do not watch "Labang" while sharing the daily lives of stars and fans with active participation.

Embedding Algorithms of Hierarchical Folded HyperStar Network (계층적 폴디드 하이퍼스타 네트워크의 임베딩 알고리즘)

  • Hierarchical Folded HyperStar Network has lower network cost than HCN(n,n) and HFN(n,n) which are hierarchical networks with the same number of nodes. In this paper, we analyze embedding between Hierarchical Folded HyperStar HFH($C_n,C_n$) and Hypercube, HCN(n,n), HFN(n,n). The results of embedding are that HCN(n,n), HFN(n,n) and Hypercube $Q_{2n}$ can be embedded into HFH($C_n,C_n$) with expansion $\frac{C^n}{2^{2n}}$ and dilation 2, 3, and 4, respectively. Also, HFH($C_n,C_n$) can be embedded into HFN(2n,2n) with dilation 1. These results mean so many developed algorithms in Hypercube, HCN(n,n), HFN(n,n) can be used efficiently in HFH($C_n,C_n$).

  • Star graph is a well-known interconnection network to further improve the network cost of Hypercube and has good properties such as node symmetry, maximal fault tolerance and strongly hierarchical property. In this study, we will suggest embedding scheme among star graph and pancake graph, bubblesort graph, which are variations of star graph. We will show that bubblesort graph can be embedded into pancake and star graph with dilation 3, expansion 1, respectively and pancake graph can be embedded into bubblesort graph with dilation cost O($n^2$). Additionally, we will show that star graph can be embedded into pancake graph with dilation 4, expansion 1. Also, with dilation cost O(n) we will prove that star graph can be embedded into bubblesort graph and pancake graph can be embedded into star graph.

  • In this paper, the style synthesis network is trained to generate style-synthesized video through the style synthesis through training Stylegan and the video synthesis network for video synthesis. In order to improve the point that the gaze or expression does not transfer stably, 3D face restoration technology is applied to control important features such as the pose, gaze, and expression of the head using 3D face information. In addition, by training the discriminators for the dynamics, mouth shape, image, and gaze of the Head2head network, it is possible to create a stable style synthesis video that maintains more probabilities and consistency. Using the FaceForensic dataset and the MetFace dataset, it was confirmed that the performance was increased by converting one video into another video while maintaining the consistent movement of the target face, and generating natural data through video synthesis using 3D face information from the source video's face.

  • Geotextile tube is hydraulically filled with dredged materials and has been applied to coastal protection and scour protection, dewatering method of slurry, and isolation of contaminated material. Recently, geotextile tube technology is no longer alternative construction technique but suitable desired solution. In this paper, the numerical analysis was performed to investigate the behavior of geotextile tube with various properties of geotextile sheet and hydraulic pumping conditions. Numerical analysis was executed to compare with the results from the large-scale field model tests, and also with those of plane strain analysis and 3-D FEM analysis. A geotextile tube was modeled using the commercial finite element analysis program ABAQUS and the one-quarter of tube was modeled. Behavior of geotextile tube during the hydraulic pumping procedure was analyzed by comparing the large-scale field model test and numerical analysis. The shape variation and maximum tube height between the numerical analysis results and large-scale filed test results are turned out to be in a good agreement.

  • We propose a stylized facial illustration method that expresses important features of a target highly abstractly but effectively from a human facial picture. Our method first detects facial components such as eyes and their associated regions from an input image, and then uses the detected results to render a stylized portrait. Our illustration method mainly consists of two key components and additional components: a tonal illustration component to draw simple tones, a line illustration component to draw a set of lines, and additional illustration components for hair, clothes. etc. The illustration part of the proposed method aims at illustrating features of a target effectively in a highly abstracted way like hand-drawn paintings. In order to achieve this goal, our method adopts an oriental black-ink painting style, which expresses objects effectively with empty spaces and simple expressions such as abstracted lines.

Determining Intervention Timing for People with Intellectual Disabilities during Virtual Reality-based Barista Training

  • This paper proposes a method to derive the time points for helpful intervention based on conclusions drawn from a previous study which collected data during barista training performed by students with developmental disabilities. To identify this intervention time, this study utilized distance information between the hand of a student and each barista tool in a virtual reality space. If the cumulative distance from a student's hand to the key barista tool is relatively longer than the cumulative distance to other barista tools, it is highly likely that the student is not using the key barista tool, which must be used to successfully complete the given task. In other words, the distance information signals the task is not being properly performed and represents the intervention time to help the student. As a result of verifying a hypothesis through statistical analysis, this study found that the relationship between the success or failure of a student's training and the cumulative distance between the student's right hand and the key barista tool was statistically significant, but not for the left hand.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors behind the popularity of Superstar K, a reality show, among the viewers. For that purpose, the study conducted an in-depth interview with six viewers that watched the show in the first round and eight more in the second round. The interview results show that the show's fun elements include program "formation," "organization," "edition," "hosting style," and "appeal factors," which differentiated it from other shows. Superstar K made the viewers enjoy the show by thoroughly planning and providing a range of fun elements from program planning to edition and transmission.

  • The fault diameter is one of the important measures for transmission rate and reliability of interconnection network. H.-O. Lee et al.[Parallel paths in folded hyper-star graph, Journal of KIPS, Vol.6, No.7, pp.1756-1769, 1999] suggested the node-disjoint paths of FHS (2n,n), and proved that the fault diameter of FHS(2n,n) is less than 2n-1. In this paper, we suggest an advanced node-disjoint paths of FHS(2n,n). We also prove that the wide diameter of FHS(2n,n) is dist(U,V)+4, and the fault diameter of FHS(2n,n) is less than n+2.
