  • The technical challenge of 3D image display using the wireless sensor were applied to variable areas and scopes. This techniques need to very accurate location and speed informations and recognitions to moving objects. The tracking challenges of the moving objects location that combined 3D location and speed sensor were applied to sports and healthcare areas. This areas seek to the accuracy and collections and tightly related to image display and analysis techniques. In this paper, We developed the 3D motion display that can be monitor moving objects on the 3D virtual space. For this works, we constructed the database that collected informations through 9-axis sensor and demonstrated the result of 3D motion display on the Window based environments.

  • In this paper, an estimation system of vehicle position and orientation on magnetic lane, which is a parameter of the steering controller for automated lane following is described. To verify that the magnetic dipole model could be applied to a magnetic unit paved in roadway, the analysis of the model is compared with the data of 3-axis magnetic field measured experimentally. The sensor location could be estimated by analysis of the model based on experimental data. For the magnetic lane model merged magnetic unit, the relation of sensor location and magnetic field is acquired experimentally. The proposed estimation of vehicle position and orientation is adopted to automated lane following by computer simulation.

  • 현재 출시된 대부분의 헬스케어를 위한 웨어러블 디바이스는 생체신호 감지, 활동 시간 등만을 측정하고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위해 본 논문에서는 스마트폰과 블루이노, 9축센서 등을 이용하여 사용자의 움직임을 분석한 후, 분석한 정보를 활용하여 차별화된 운동 진행을 할 수 있도록 하기 위해 움직임을 정확하게 측정할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법을 실제 사용자에게 적용한 결과, 제시된 방법이 운동에 도움이 되는 것을 확인하였다.

  • Magnetic disturbance is one of the main factors that deteriorate the accuracy of orientation estimation methods based on inertial/magnetic sensor signals. This paper proposes a parallel Kalman filter(KF) that explicitly detects magnetic disturbances and thus can accurately estimate 3D orientation in magnetically disturbed environments. Due to the parallel nature of the proposed KF, even severe magnetic disturbances only affect yaw estimation, while roll and pitch values remain accurate. Consequently, the proposed KF can be effectively used in various applications that involve magnetically inhomogeneous environments, such as robots, ships, and planes.

  • 세계적으로 지진, 해일, 홍수 등의 자연 재해와 화재, 테러 등의 인위적 재해가 빈번하게 발생하고 있다. 이러한 다양하고 예측 불가능한 재해로 인해 다수의 사상자가 발생하고 있다. 재해 발생 시 빠른 시간에 재해 발생 여부를 파악하여 재해 발생 위치와 적절한 피난 경로 등의 정보를 피해자에게 제공한다면 신속히 안전한 장소로 대피가 가능하여 피해를 최소화 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 재해 발생 시 피난 지원을 목적으로 연구하는 긴급피난지원시스템(ERESS)을 효과적으로 지원할 수 있도록 비상 시 긴급피난지원시스템을 위한 9축 센서 기반 행동 분석 시스템을 구현하였다.

Fabrication of the Three Dimensional Accelerometer using Bridge Combination Detection Method (브리지조합 검출방식을 이용한 고온용 3축 가속도센서 제작)

  • In this paper, we proposed the new bridge combination detection method for three dimensional piezoresistive silicon accelerometer, and the accelerometer with SOI structures was fabricated by bulk micromachining technology for using higher temperature than $200^{\circ}C$. The sensitivities of fabricated accelerometer for X, Y and Z-axis acceleration were about 8mV/V G, 8mV/V G and 40mV/V G. The nonlinearity of the output voltage was 1.6%FS and cross-axis sensitivity was within 4.6%. We confirmed that the three bridges detection method is very simple and the output characteristics of this accelerometer were similar to arithmetic circuit method accelerometer. The temperature characteristics of SOI structure accelerometer showed high operating temperature and good stability. And the temperature coefficient of offset voltage and sensitivity were $1033ppm^{\circ}C^{-1}$ and $1145ppm^{\circ}C$ respectively.

  • 본 연구에서는 한강 상 교량인 올림픽대교를 대상으로 첨단 무선센서를 구조물 주요 부재에 설치하고 본 센서를 통해 취득되는 데이터를 활용하여 실시간 구조 건전도 모니터링 시스템을 구축하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 본 시스템은 유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크(USN, Ubiquitous Sensor Network)기술을 적용하여 림픽대교 주요 구조 부재 모니터링을 위한 센서 및 데이터 로깅 시스템으로 구성되어 운영된다. 본 연구에서는 1축 가속도계, 3축가속도계, 온도계, 경사계, 풍향풍속계 5종의 무선 센서를 총 10개 설치하였으며, 센서의 전원은 태양광 자가 전원공급 시스템으로 하였다. 데이터는 시스템 구축완료 후 9월1일부터 9월 7일까지의 일주일간의 데이터를 활용하여, 기존에 설치되어 있던 유선시스템으로부터 취득된 데이터와 비교분석하였으며, 이를 통행 USN 기반의 교량 계측시스템에 대한 실용성을 검증하였다.

A Study on Position Detection in Gears in Automatic Production of Geared Shaft (기어의 생산자동화를 위한 기어의 위치정보 검출에 관한 연구)

  • Available shafts with gears at each end of the cylinder-shaped steel are widely used as power train components for automobiles. In order to automate the production of a geared shaft, there are problems to be solved. After one side of the cylinder is cut in gears, one of the problems is to determine the position of the cylinder which has been already cut. The shaft is then to be fed ahead with geared position to the chuck with jaws in geared shape. The other problem is to acquire information on an angular position of the shaft to fit to the jaws of the chuck. This paper deals with the magnetic detection sensor of gear position. Coils are installed in two places. Self-inductances of coils are detected by the changes of reluctance and are then compared. The magnetic analysis also has been carried out by the finite element analysis (FEM).

  • The VR / AR market has grown significantly due to the development of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, the core technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. According to a report released by the Korea Science and Engineering Corporation (KISTEP), the global VR / AR market will grow to $ 105 billion by 2022. An important key to the growth of the VR / AR market is user immersion. VR is dependent on technology of hardware such as display and sensor for biometric signal recognition. In order to improve user's immersion feeling, it is important to transmit sensor data to display device more accurately and quickly. In this paper, we consider various sensor hardware dependencies of VR, and compare various correction methods and filtering methods to lower the Motion to Photon (MTP) time that user movement is fully reflected on the display using sensor devices.

Recognition of Basic Motions for Figure Skating using AHRS (AHRS를 이용한 피겨스케이팅 기본 동작 인식)

  • IT is widely used for biomechanics and AHRS sensor also be highlighted with small sized characteristics and price competitiveness in the field of motion measurement and analysis of sports. In this paper, we attach the AHRS to the figure skate shoes to measure the motion data like spin, forward/backward, jump, in/out edge and toe movement. In order to reduce the measurement error, we have adopted the sensors equipped with Madgwick complementary filtering and also use Euler angle to quaternion conversion to reduce the Gimbal-lock effect. We test and experiment the accuracy and execution time of the pattern recognition algorithms like PCA, ICA, LDA, SVM to show the recognition possibility of it on the basic motions of figure skating from the 9-axis trajectory information which is gathered from AHRS sensor. From the result, PCA, ICA have low accuracy, but LDA, SVM have good accuracy to use for recognition of basic motions of figure skating.
