According to this, the development of a wireless Internet technology of 5 GHz Band proceeded. In the thesis we researched a Square Slot Microstrip Patch Antenna available in 5 GHz band of wireless communication. The research designed and analyzed the Antenna through HFSS. Ultimately, we compared and analyzed made Antenna through a Network Analyzer.

  • This paper is contents on that construct ultra high speed wireless communication cell backbone net of city using of wireless communication transceiver for millimeter wave band. A new type of 60GHz wave band wireless transceiver using NRD waveguide. This 60GHz transceiver has excellent signal's absorption characteristics of oxygen molecule than the other millimeter wave bands. We constructed service networks to cell interval within about 500m to 3Km laying stress on wireless backbone node using 60GHz transceivers, and did it so that city type wireless communication cell backbone networks of 155.52Mbps ATM(OC-3) may be possible. The possible use of wireless backbone networks technology in a rainy day and a clear day was evaluated at 1Km data link distance. We can measured bit error rate(BER). BER is $10^{-11}$ at 155.52Mbps ATM(OC-3) in a clear day and $10^{-6}$ in a heavy rain more than 35mm per time. Also, we constructed wireless cell backbone networks distance to use several 60GHz transceivers and investigated data transmission rate between main center and local center of long distance. In proposed wireless cell backbone networks, the data throughput was approximately 80Mbit/sec. Therefore, if use transceiver, it is possible that city type ultra high speed wireless communication cell backbone networks construction of 100Mbps, 155.52Mbps, 622Mbps, 1Gbps and 1.2Gbps degrees.

  • In this paper, we design and implement an Ultra-Wide Band (UWB, 3.1~10.6 GHz) antenna with 5G mobile communication (3.42~3.70 GHz) and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN, 5.15~5.825 GHz) bands rejection characteristics. The proposed antenna consists of a planar radiation patch with two slots. The upper slot contributes to reject 5G mobile communication band and the lower slot contributes to reject WLAN band. The Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) values of the proposed antenna show good performances in whole UWB band except for rejection bands based on VSWR 2.0. The proposed UWB antenna was simulated using High Frequency Struture Simulator (HFSS) by Ansoft. The simulated antenna showed dual rejection bands of 3.31~3.92 GHz and 5.04~5.90 GHz in UWB band, and measured antenna showed dual rejection bands of 3.35~3.97 GHz and 5.06~5.97 GHz. The largest VSWR values measured at each rejection band are 13.60 at 3.64 GHz and 10.25 at 5.52 GHz. The measured maximum gain is 5.31 dBi at 10.00 GHz. The lowest gains for the measured antenna at rejection bands are -8.73 dBi at 3.70 GHz and -4.36 dBi at 5.56 GHz.

  • In this paper, we designed and implemented an ultra wideband (UWB) antenna with 5G mobile communication and WLAN bands rejection characteristics. The proposed antenna consists of a planar radiation patch with two slots, parasitic elements on both sides of the strip line and ground plane on back side. The upper n-type slot contributes for 5G mobile communication band (3.42~3.70 GHz) rejection and the lower n-type slot contributes for wireless local area network (WLAN) band (5.15~5.825 GHz) rejection. Parasitic elements were used in order to satisfy the voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) less than or equal to 2.0 for UWB band (3.10~10.60 GHz) except two rejection bands. The Ansoft's high frequency structure simulator (HFSS) was used for antenna design and simulations. The simulated antenna showed dual rejection bands of 3.36~3.71 GHz and 5.13 ~ 5.92 GHz in UWB band, and measured result for the implemented antenna showed dual rejection bands of 3.40~3.72 GHz and 5.08~5.858 GHz. Simulated and measured VSWRs are less than or equal to 2.0 for all UWB band except dual rejection bands.

  • We demonstrate a $2.1\;{\times}\;1.0\;{\times}\;0.1cm^3$ sized compact transmitter using LTCC System-in-Package (SiP) technology for 60GHz-band wireless communication applications. For low-attenuation characteristics and resonance suppression of the SiP, we have proposed and demonstrated a coplanar double wire-bond transition and novel CPW-to-stripline transition integrating air-cavities as well as novel air-cavities embedded CPW line. The fabricated transmitter achieves an output of 13dBm at a RF frequency of 62GHz, an IF frequency of 2.4GHz, and a LO frequency of 59.6GHz. The up-conversion gain is 11dB, while the LO signal is suppressed with the image rejection mixer below -21.4dBc, and the image and spurious signals are also suppressed below -31dBc.

And it is also possible to operate in the dual-band purpose. Futhermore, the inserted bandstop fiilter with T-type configuration is also possible to operate in the same purpose. The dual-band bandpass filter has the first operating frequencies and its bandwidth which are 5.8 GHz and 60 % respectively and the second operating frequency and the bandwidth are 16.2 GHz and 60 % respectively. The insertion loss and the return loss of the first frequency has 0.4 dB and 17.4 dB and the insertion loss and the return loss of the second frequency has 0.62 dB and 19.8 dB, respectively.

  • In this paper, we describe the procedure of simulation design and measured results of a compact planar antenna for handset applications. The broad bandwidth covering the interested frequency band for mobile handset is achieved by introduction of an open ended L-shaped slot which is newly proposed and corresponds to the monopole slot. In order to minimize the impact on circuit part placement, the proposed antenna is placed on the ground plane edge of PCB with size of 60×65 mm2. The measurement result for 10dB impedance bandwidths is 640 MHz (1.7~2.34 GHz), covering the required bandwidths for DCS (Digital Cellular System)-1800 (1710 ~ 1880 MHz) / IMT (International Mobile Telecommunication)-2000 (1885 ~ 2200 MHz) bands. In particular, we would like to emphasize the proposed antenna has an omnidirectional radiation pattern suitable for commercial wireless communication.

  • In the present study, compact $0^{th}$ order resonant antenna for 2.4 GHz ISM frequency band is newly proposed. In case of wireless communication systems such as wi-fi, bluetooth and Zigbee, antennas with omni-directional radiation pattern are necessary because of the demands for uniformly received electric field strength without variation for direction. It is well-known that $0^{th}$ order resonant antennas are not only advantageous for miniaturization but also have advantage of maintaining omni-directional radiation pattern. The proposed antenna is composed of two-element array in which the size of unit element should be smaller than ${\lambda}/4$ correspondent to the resonant length of typical monopole antennas The proposed antenna which is placed at middle and upper side of PCB with $50{\times}50mm^2$ size is designed and fabricated within limited space of $8{\times}5mm^2$. The measured impedance bandwidth ($S_{11}{\leq}-10dB$) is about 100 MHz (2.4~2.5 GHz) which corresponds to quite wide bandwidth in comparison with the antenna size, and also the measured peak gain over the passband is more than 3 dBi which is thought to be slightly wider than the other $0^{th}$ order resonant antenna.

  • In this paper, we have developed a propagation loss prediction software with GUI (Graphic User Interface) functions, based on the geometrical ray optics model, which can predict radio parameters for the deployment of wireless indoor network. The program has two numerical modules consisted with electrical image and ray launching methods to implement UTD theory. The simulated results are compared with reported data measured in the foreign building environments for office and '一' type corridor, and measured and simulated results for the propagation loss agree with each other quite well. Simulation results for '一' type corridor and 'T' type corridor propagation environment are shown for reference.
