For better estimation of elastic property of concrete composites, the effect of Interfacial Transition Zone (ITZ) has been found to be significant. Numerical concrete composites models have been introduced using Finite Element Method (FEM), where ITZ is modeled as a thin shell surrounding aggregate. Therefore, difficulties arise from the mesh generation. In this study, a numerical concrete composites model in 3D based on FEM and random unit cell method is proposed to calculate elastic modulus of concrete composites with ITZ. The validity of the model has been verified by comparing the calculated elastic modulus with those obtained from other analytical and numerical models.

A facile synthesis of 2-aryl-5-benzoxazolepropionic acid derivatives(1 0a-d), which are potent antiinflammatory agent, is reported. Methyl ${\alpha}$-(p-hydroxyphenyl)propionate(5) was prepared from Friedel-Crafts reaction of isopropoxy benzene with methyl ${\alpha}$-chloro-${\alpha}$-(methylthio) acetate(1), followed by desulfurization, methylation and clevage of ether bond. Compounds(10a-d) were made from(5) by a sequence of nitration, reduction, formation of benzoxazole ring, and hydrolysis in good yields, respectively.

In designing a LLC resonant converter, the ratio of magnetizing inductance ($L_M$) to resonant inductance ($L_R$), the inductor ratio (K) is usually considered. In high power density adapter, both adapter size and efficiency are important factors. Considering the size of adapter, high K design can be more attractive. But, wide frequency variation of high K design results in design difficulty of magnetic elements and decrease in efficiency. To solve these drawbacks, an adaptive link voltage variation (ALVV) control is proposed. With the proposed control method, the LLC resonant converter can be operated at the resonant frequency despite the output voltage variation. The control strategy and schematics are presented, and verified experimentally.

하나의 철심을 매개로 각 상의 1, 2차 권선이 동일한 권선비로 결선된 삼상 일체화된 자속구속형 초전도 사고전류제한기의 동작특성을 모델링하였다. 삼상 일체화된 자속구속형 사고전류제한기는 평상시에 각 상의 두 코일에서 유기되는 자속이 서로 상쇄되어 철심내부의 자속은 발생하지 않게 되지만 임의의 한 상에서 단락사고가 발생할 경우 삼상이 분리된 사고전류제한기와 달리 사고상 뿐 아니라 건전상에 연결된 초전도소자도 ��치가 발생하는 특징이 있다. 등가회로를 이용한 모델링을 통해 삼상이 분리된 경우와 삼상이 일체화된 경우의 동작특성을 비교 분석하였다.

We fabricated white organic light emitting diodes(WOLED) having two complementary and three primary colors with emission layers of DPVBi / MADN : DCM2-0.5% and DPVBi / $Alq_3$ / MADN : DCM2-1.5%, respectively. WOLED using three primary colors shows broad electroluminescence including green emission peak at 510nm while optical properties of the two complementary WOLED was higher current efficiency of 6.2 cd/A than 4.9 cd/A of three primary color WOLED. The maximum luminescence of WOLED with two complimentary color was $15200cd/m^2$ along with luminous efficiency 6.2cd/A, as achieving stable white color coordinates for both of WOLEDs at (0.33 , 0.33) almost.

Background: More and more research indicate that the immediately early response gene 3 (IER3) is involved inmany biological provesses, such as apoptosis and immunoreaction, as well as viral infection, tumorigenesis and tumour progression. Methods: Here we describe the construction of an eukaryotic expression vector containing IER3 gene and its expression in A549 cells as assessed through fluorescence microscopyand Western-blotting. Results: Fluorescence detection displayed that GFP in cytoplasm was high during 48 and 72 hours post-transfection. In addition, Western blotting showed significant increase in IER3 gene expression in the transfected cells compared with controls. Conclusion: The recombinate plasmid expression vector was constructed successfully, which may provide a basis for further exploration of function of IER3 in lung cancer.

This paper presents a power and area efficient SAR ADC for multi-channel near threshold-voltage (NTV) applications such as neural recording systems. This work proposes a split dual-capacitive-array (S-DCA) structure with shifted input range for ultra low-switching energy and architecture of multi-channel single-ended SAR ADC which employs only one comparator. In addition, the proposed ADC has the same amount of equivalent capacitance at two comparator inputs, which minimizes the kickback noise. Compared with conventional SAR ADC, this work reduces the total capacitance and switching energy by 84.8% and 91.3%, respectively.

In this paper, we study on the mutual characteristics between transmitting efficiency of pulse energy and wall plug consumed power of non-thermal Plasma for removing environmental pollutive gas of coal plant. To obtain high pulse energy of our system, we used MPC(magnetic pulse compressor) of power switch and tested their characteristics by adjusting electrode length of reactor and charging voltage in capacitor. As a result, we obtained consumed power of wall plug and a compressed pulse of voltage 110kV, rising time 500ns. Impedance of load on increasing electrode length was decreased, but electrical efficiency was increased. These results indicate we can control critical voltage of pulse corona and electrical efficiency of economic cost in power plant.

A gene, npl, encoding neopullulanase from Paenibacillus sp. KCTC 8848P was cloned and expressed in Escherichia coli. It consisted of an open reading frame of 1,530 bp for a protein that consisted of 510 amino acids with a molecular weight of 58,075 Da. The deduced amino acid sequence of the neopullulanase gene had $92\%$ identity with the neopullulanase of Bacillus polymyxa. The npl gene was also expressed in Saccharomyces cerevisiae secreting Schwanniomyces occidentalis glucoamylase (GAM1) under the control of the yeast actin gene (ACT1) promoter. Secretion of the neopullulanase was directed by the yeast mating pheromone ${\alpha}$ -factor ($MF{\alpha}1$) prepro region. Enzyme assays confirmed that co-expression of npl and GAM1 enhanced starch and pullulan degradation by S. cerevisiae.

Oblique ion-induced secondary electron emission coefficient(${\gamma}$) with low energy ..and work function ${\phi}_{\omega}$(${\theta}$ = 0 and ${\theta}$ = 20) of the MgO thin film in AC-PDPs has been measured by ${\gamma}$-FIB system. The MgO thin film has been deposited from sintered material under electron beam evaporation method. The energy of $He^+$ ions used has been ranged from 50eV to 150eV. Oblique ion beam has been chosen to be 10 degree, 20 degree and 30 degree. It is found that the higher secondary electron emission coefficient(${\gamma}$) has been achieved by the higher oblique ion beam up to inclination angle of 30 degree than the perpendicular incident ion beam.
