  • 5G will bring revolutionary development in mobile communication, and it is anticipated to have complete commercialization including mass adoption rate by 2020s. High number of smart devices including IoT, wearable devices, etc., which have high amount of data usage, will involve even higher data traffics. In addition, media dependency and demand is rapidly rising. These environmental aspects will necessity and sufficient condition for successful implementation of 5G mobile communication system. In this paper, global cooperation and competition for 5G technology leadership will be analyzed and summarized. Through this, proper solution to maintain competency of Korea in future will be proposed.

  • Recently, in response to the Internet age, the demand for hardware devices has been increasing, centering on the rapidly growing smart home field, due to the growth and management of sensor and control technology, mobile application, network traffic, big data management and cloud computing. In order to maintain the sustainable development of the hardware system, it is necessary to update the system, and the hardware device is absolutely necessary in real time processing of complex data (voice, image, etc.) as well as data collection. In this paper, we propose a method to simplify the control and communication method by integrating the hardware devices in two operating systems in a unified structure to solve the simultaneous control and communication method of hardware under different operating systems. The performance evaluation results of the proposed integrated hardware and the cloud control system connected to the cloud server are described and the main directions to be studied in the field of internet smart home are described.

  • With the rapid development of the information society, the use of digital devices has increased dramatically and the importance of technology for analyzing them has increased. Digital evidence is stored in many places such as Prefetch, Recent, Registry, and Event Log even if the user has deleted it. Therefore, there is a disadvantage that the forensic analyst can not grasp the files used by the user at the beginning. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a method that the RemoveList folder exists so that the user can grasp the information of the deleted file first, and the information about the deleted file is automatically saved by using AES in RemoveList. Through this, it can be expected that the analyst can alleviate the difficulty of initially grasping the user's PC.

  • Recently, as the interest in power saving increases with the development of IoT technology, research on power saving of smart devices, which are being miniaturized, is being actively conducted. In particular, due to the diversification of IoT-based smart devices and the increase in personal penetration rate, the issue of standby power even when not in use is increasing. However, there is a drawback of physically unplugging the outlet or turning off the power in order to substantially reduce standby power. Since Zigbee is used instead of the existing IP, it is necessary to change to the IoT standard protocol based on the Internet network. Therefore, this paper designed and implemented the standby power saving system applying CoAP, the IoT standard protocol, to the existing Zigbee technology. Existing systems and evaluations confirmed that the average standby power of about 8.4Wh was reduced.

  • As various services are linked to IoT(Internet of Things) and portable communication terminals, cyber attacks that exploit security vulnerabilities of the devices are rapidly increasing. In particular, cyber attacks targeting heterogeneous devices in large-scale network environments through advanced persistent threat (APT) attacks are on the rise. Therefore, in order to improve the effectiveness of the response system in the event of a breach, it is necessary to apply a data enrichment mechanism for the collected artifact data to improve threat analysis and detection performance. Therefore, in this study, by analyzing the data supplementation common elements performed in the existing incident management framework for the artifacts collected for the analysis of intrusion accidents, characteristic elements applicable to the actual system were derived, and based on this, an improved accident analysis framework The prototype structure was presented and the suitability of the derived data supplementary extension elements was verified. Through this, it is expected to improve the detection performance when analyzing cyber incidents targeting artifacts collected from heterogeneous devices.

  • The development of the Internet of Things led to new services that did not exist before. This required a change to the existing network. This study aims to verify the service quality, satisfaction, repurchase intention relationship, and the moderating effect of online reviews of Chinese consumers using fashion shopping malls. The results of the study showed that from the perspective of consumers in their 20s and 30s in China, the type, reliability, convenience, and interaction of service quality had a positive effect on customer satisfaction and repurchase intention. In addition, negative reviews among online reviews had a great influence on repurchase intention. Based on the results of the study, it will help improve the effect on online product reviews and in-depth understanding of the acceptance of online product reviews for online fashion shopping malls, and establish strategies for fashion companies to effectively manage online product reviews information.

IoT Edge Architecture Model to Prevent Blockchain-Based Security Threats (블록체인 기반의 보안 위협을 예방할 수 있는 IoT 엣지 아키텍처 모델)

  • Over the past few years, IoT edges have begun to emerge based on new low-latency communication protocols such as 5G. However, IoT edges, despite their enormous advantages, pose new complementary threats, requiring new security solutions to address them. In this paper, we propose a cloud environment-based IoT edge architecture model that complements IoT systems. The proposed model acts on machine learning to prevent security threats in advance with network traffic data extracted from IoT edge devices. In addition, the proposed model ensures load and security in the access network (edge) by allocating some of the security data at the local node. The proposed model further reduces the load on the access network (edge) and secures the vulnerable part by allocating some functions of data processing and management to the local node among IoT edge environments. The proposed model virtualizes various IoT functions as a name service, and deploys hardware functions and sufficient computational resources to local nodes as needed.

  • 최근 국내에는 실업률 상승, 혼인률 하락 등 청년층 생애주기 변화, 단독거주, 고령층의 증가에 따라 1인 가구가 빠른 속도로 증가하고 있다. 이러한 추세는 지속될 것으로 예상되어 1인 가구를 겨냥한 맞춤형 보안솔루션에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 사물 인터넷 기술을 적극적으로 접목할 수 있을 것으로 기대되는 디지털 도어락의 구현에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 사물 인터넷 기술은 5G 시대의 도래에 따라 다시금 주목받고 있다. 이는 4차 산업혁명 시대의 핵심 기반 기술로 주요 IT 기업들이 상용화 기술 확보를 추진하고 있는 상황이다. 한편 디지털 도어락은 열쇠가 필요하지 않으며 위급상황이나 안전상황에 클릭 한번으로 출동 요원의 출동을 곧바로 요청할 수 있어 고객에게 편의성과 보안성을 제공한다. 하지만 비밀번호 방식의 디지털 도어락은 주기적으로 비밀번호를 교체해주지 않는 이상 지속적으로 같은 자리의 버튼만을 누르게 된다. 이렇게 되면 해당 위치에 지문이 남아서 비밀번호가 노출될 위험이 있다. 그러나 사물 인터넷 기술을 이용한 디지털 도어락을 사용하게 된다면 안전한 도어락 사용으로 주거 보안을 실현할 수 있다. 따라서 1인 가구를 노리는 범죄를 예방하기 위해 라즈베리 파이와 아두이노의 UART 통신, 머신러닝 CV를 이용하여 얼굴 인식으로 동일인임을 판단하는 디지털 도어락을 구현했다.

Implementing Braille Display System Based on the IoT (사물인터넷 기반의 점자 표출 시스템 구현)

  • Braille can be said to be an essential means used for the visually impaired to communicate or acquire information on visual materials in their lives. However, the rate of interpretation of braille among the visually impaired is insignificant at 5%. As a result, libraries for the visually impaired produce various types of materials that can obtain various information for the visually impaired and also have assistive technology equipment to interpret them. However, the publication rate of Braille books is too low to purchase and interpret Braille books. In addition, the Braille interpretation rate is too low, and the purchase of assistive technology devices is too expensive and slow. Therefore, in this paper, we implemented a system that displays Braille using Arduino to help visually impaired people in addition to the existing methods they use to obtain information. For Braille display, Korean data is transmitted from Python through serial communication between Python and Arduino, and Arduino, which receives the data, compares the Korean data with the data in the array in the program and retrieves the Braille values of the Korean data. Here, the Braille value was expressed by controlling the servo motor perpendicular or horizontal to the body using white and black circles based on the Braille list.
