  • Recently, web services concept is rapidly rising as new solution to solve the integration problem among heterogeneous application systems . This web servic es concept is adaptable in the field of 4S application systems integration that handles the spatial information of GIS, SIIS, GNSS and ITS. So, this paper suggests a new 4S web services model for the infrastructures of nationwide spatial clearinghouse, which is mainly based on the OGC and W3C web services specifications. Conclusively, this proposed model that could serve various spatial data and services has some advantages of being flexibly and powerfully capable of integrating the 4S application systems owing to adapting the international standard specifications of OGC and W3C.

  • This study empirically tests post-M&A performance through competitiveness variables based on extensive firm-based panel data over the past 26 years in the world steel industry. Different measures of profitability, productivity, efficiency, market share, and growth rate which are considered as critical factors of competitiveness are used in the analysis. In particular, this paper tries to separate M&A samples into two cases; horizontal integration (between steel makers) and vertical integration (between steel makers and iron ore suppliers/steel consuming firms). Merged firms show significant improvement in competitiveness relative to other individual firms in the steel industry.

  • We propose nano-scale Cu direct bonding technology using ultra-high density Cu nano-pillar (CNP) with for high stacking yield exascale 2.5D/3D integration. We clarified the joining mechanism of nano-scale Cu direct bonding using CNP. Nano-scale Cu pillar easily bond with Cu electrode by re-crystallization of CNP due to the solid phase diffusion and by morphology change of CNP to minimize interfacial energy at relatively lower temperature and pressure compared to conventional micro-scale Cu direct bonding. We confirmed for the first time that 4.3 million electrodes per die are successfully connected in series with the joining yield of 100%. The joining resistance of CNP bundle with $80{\mu}m$ height is around 30 m for each pair of $10{\mu}m$ dia. electrode. Capacitance value of CNP bundle with $3{\mu}m$ length and $80{\mu}m$ height is around 0.6fF. Eye-diagram pattern shows no degradation even at 10Gbps data rate after the lamination of anisotropic conductive film.

  • A company have to grow constantly. If a company does not grow and stagnant, it will be finally out of the market. The contemporary companies fully make use of M&A to search for new growth engines. The reason of companies using M&A as a important tool of a business strategy is the fastest way to achieve technology power, market power, competitiveness. The form of M&A was that leading companies take over smaller companies or merger and acquisition between small companies in the middle of 2000. But now, Mega mergers between industry leading companies often occur and especially domestic of course M&A of foreign companies occurs actively. These days the boom of stock market and the big companies are pouring on sale by restructuring, privatization and the basis of low interest will make the M&A market continuously. In this study, I suggest a solution of actual human resources management by analyzing proven M&A cases and search for various problems of a gap in the leadership and communication in connection with integration of organization culture after M&A. First of all, I arrange the theoretical concept of the subject and analyze the key factors of the success M&A cases, lastly I suggested a HR strategy after M&A. After M&A, HR strategy is ; First, a company have to build a organization culture which is that merger company accommodate a excellent organizational characteristic of predecessor company with consideration of culture difference. Second, M&A must proceed to remove of anxiety about the future and employment stability by excellent leaderships. Third, organization integration after M&A is influenced by the level of integration for that reason it was verified that M&A have to make progress by communication of each 2 organizations.

  • Very compact 4-channel 200-GHz-spacing external cavity lasers (ECLs) were fabricated by hybrid integration of reflection gratings and superluminescent laser diodes on a planar lightwave circuit chip. The fifth-order gratings as reflection gratings were formed using a conventional contact-mask photo-lithography process to achieve low-cost fabrication. The lasing wavelength of the fabricated ECLs matched the ITU grid with an accuracy of ${\pm}0.1$ nm, and optical powers were more than 0.4 mW at the injection current of 80 mA for all channels. The ECLs showed single mode operations with more than 30 dB side lobe suppression.

  • Shanghai Tower is a composite structure building with a height of 632 m. In order to verify the structural properties and behaviors in construction and operation, a structural health monitoring project was conducted by Tongji University. The monitoring system includes sensor system, data acquisition system and a monitoring software system. Focusing on the health monitoring in construction, this paper introduced the monitoring parameters in construction, the data acquisition strategy and an integration structural health monitoring (SHM) software. The integration software - Structural Monitoring/ Analysis/ Evaluation System (SMAE) is designed based on integration and modular design idea, which includes on-line data acquisition, finite elements and dynamic property analysis functions. With the integration and modular design idea, this SHM system can realize the data exchange and results comparison from on-site monitoring and FEM effectively. The analysis of the monitoring data collected during the process of construction shows that the system works stably, realize data acquirement and analysis effectively, and also provides measured basis for understanding the structural state of the construction. Meanwhile, references are provided for the future automates construction monitoring and implementation of high-rise building structures.

  • Recently, issues regarding underground safety such as sink hole, ground subsidence and damage to old underground facilities have been increasing in urban areas, raising the need for more accurate management of underground facilities. Thus, this study derived a technique for comparing spatial data of underground facilities acquired from GPR exploration results acquired at the site with spatial data of integrated underground spatial maps. Using this underground space integrated map-linked service prototype program developed through this study, comparing the location information of the GPR exploration results and the underground space integrated map for the verification of site usability in some sections around Gangnam Station, the results demonstrated that the location of the map is 0.879m maximum, minimum of 0.101m and the average fudge factor was 0.625m. If accuracy of the GPR exploration results is guaranteed, it is judged that it can be used to improve the location accuracy of the underground space integration map.

  • Many organizations seek statistical modelling facilitated by data analytics technologies for determining the prediction models associated with M&A (Merger and Acquisition). By combining these data analytics tool alongside with data collection approaches aids organizations towards M&A decision making, followed by achieving profitable insights as well. It promotes for better visibility, overall improvements and effective negotiation strategies for post-M&A integration. This paper explores on the impact of pre and post integration of M&A in a standard organizational setting via devising a suitable statistical model via employing techniques such as Naïve Bayes, K-nearest neighbour (KNN), and Decision Tree & Support Vector Machine (SVM).

  • We investigated the dynamical properties of the K2-3 multi-planet system. Recently three transiting planets are discovered using the extended Kepler2 (K2) mission (Crossfield et al. 2015). We extended their preliminary stability study by considering a substantial longer integration time. Since planet mass is not known from photometry we calculated exoplanets masses using empirical mass-radius relations (Weiss & Marcy 2014). Forward numerical integration was done using the MERCURY integration package (Chambers 1999). Our results demonstrate that this system is stable over a time scale of $10^8years$. Furthermore, we investigated the dynamical effects of a hypothetical planet in the semi-major axis vs eccentricity space. For stable orbits of the hypothetical planet we calculated transit-timing variation (TTV) and radial velocity signals. We find that for a hypothetical perturber with mass 1-13 Mjup, semi-major axis 0.2 - 0.8 AU and eccentricity 0.00-0.47 the following timing signals for the planet K2-3 b is ~ 5 sec, K2-3 c is ~ 130 sec and for K2-3 d is ~ 190 sec. The radial velocity signal of the hypothetical planet is ~ 4 m/s. Using typical transit-timing errors from the K2 mission, we find that the above hypothetical planet would not be detectable. Its radial velocity signal, however, would be detectable using the APF 2.4m telescope or HARPS at the ESO/La Silla Observatory in Chile.
