저전압 대회전을 위한 분리된 압전 구동기에 의한 미소거울 (Micromirrors Driven by Detached Piezoelectric Microactuators For Low-voltage and Wide-angle Rotation)

  • This paper presents a torsional micromirror detached from PZT actuators (TMD), whose rotational motion is achieved by push bars in the PZT actuators detached from the micromirror. The push bar mechanism is intended to reduce the bending, tensile and torsional constraints generated by the conventional bending bar mechanism, where the torsional micromirror is attached to the PZT actuators (TMA). We have designed, fabricated and tested prototypes of TMDs for single-axis and dual-axis rotation, respectively. The single-axis TMD generates the static rotational angle of $6.1^{\circ}$ at 16 VDC, which is 6 times larger than that of single-axis TMA, $0.9^{\circ}$. However, the rotational response curve of TMD shows hysteresis due to the static friction between the cover and the push bar in the PZT actuator. We have shown that 63.2% of the hysteresis is due to the static friction caused by the initial contact force of the PZT actuaor. Without the initial contact force, the rotational response curve of TMD shows linear voltage-angle characteristics. The dual-axis TMD generates the static rotational angles of $5.5^{\circ}$ and $4.7^{\circ}$ in x-axis and y-axis, respectively at 16 VDC. The measured resonant frequencies of dual-axis TMD are $2.1\pm0.1$ kHz in x-axis and $1.7\pm0.1$ kHz in y-axis. The dual-axis TMD shows stable operation without severe wear for 21.6 million cycles driven by 16 Vp-p sinusoidal wave signal at room temperature.

  • 본 연구에서는 4절 평행 링크의 설계와 실제 구현에 대한 것으로 평행 4절 링크는 한축의 회전을 다른 축의 회전 운동으로 전달하기 위한 기본적인 기구학적 메카니즘으로 널리 이용되고 있다. 그런데 평행 4절 링크는 운동 도중에 전환점에서 위상 역전이 발생하는 문제가 발생하여 실제 구현에서는 이를 고려하여 설계하여야 한다. 링크 역전을 방지하기 위해서는 추가적인 위상 역전 억제용 링크를 옵셋을 두어 붙이는 2중 평행 사변형 형태의 링크를 제작하면 되는 것으로 일부 알려져 있으나 실제 제작하여 실험한 결과 전환점에서 운동이 부드럽지 않은 현상이 발생하였다. 본 연구에서는 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 위상 역전 방지를 위한 옵셋을 주는 링크외에 보조적으로 평활한 운동을 위한 링크를 추가시켜 피동축이 구동축을 따라 회전할 때에 특정지점에서 위상 역전이 발생하지 않고 평활한 운동을 수행하는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다.

How Does the Bar Affect AGN-Driven Quenching within Late-type Galaxies

  • Recent galaxy simulations suggest several scenarios in which the inner structure of late-type galaxies (LTGs) is linked to global quenching. Exactly what mechanism governs the bulge quenching is, however, still under debate due to the lack of observational clues. In this study, we utilize a sample of ~1,300 LTGs in the local universe (0.02 < z < 0.2) from SDSS 7, and classify them into star-forming, AGN-hosting, and composite types and into barred and unbarred galaxies. We also examine each subgroup's specific star forming rate (sSFR), stellar mass and compactness using a data set matched with the advanced sSFR catalog by Chang et al. (2015). We find that while star-forming and composite galaxies show no detectable difference between barred and unbarred galaxies, barred AGNs have much lower sSFR than unbarred AGNs at given stellar mass and compactness, Such tendency is stronger for more massive and/or more concentrated galaxies. The results indicate that most AGN-driven quenching is triggered by growth of the bar structure, consistent with the previous simulations of bars.

  • In this paper, a new revolute cooperating robot arms with 12 d.o.f was developed for autonomous moving robots. The robot ann was designed to have the load capacity of 10 Kg. For this, a new joint actuator based on the fourbar link mechanism was employed. As a control system for the robot arm, a distributed control system was developed composed of the main controller and five motor controller for the ann joints. The main controller and the motor controller were developed using the ARM microprocessor and the TMS320c2407 processor, respectively. To validate the performance of the robot system, an experiment to support 10 Kg payload was performed.

  • 본 연구에서는 사용자의 손에 장착하여 손의 움직임을 측정하고 힘의 반영이 가능한 새로운 형태의 데이터 글로브(data glove)를 제안한다. 본 연구의 데이터 글로브는 인간의 외골격 구조의 분석이 기반하고 있으며 하나의 손가락 모듈은 4절기구의 조합을 통하여 1자유도로 구동이 되도록 고안되어 있다. 데이터 글로브는 펴기(extension)와 구부리기(flexion)를 할 수 있으며 내전(adduction)/외전(abduction)을 위해서 두 개의 유니버설 관절을 이용한 새로운 metacarpal joint 메커니즘을 고안하였다. 동 데이터 글로브의 유효성을 평가하기 위하여 검지손가락을 위한 구동회로와 센서를 포함한 전체 시스템을 제작하였으며 가상공간에 동적 시뮬레이션을 통해서 나타낸 물체를 조작하는 실험을 수행하였다.

가스 스프링을 이용한 높이조절 벙커침대 설계 (Design of a Height Adjustable Bunker Bed Using a Gas Spring)

  • A bunker bed is a type of furniture that efficiently utilizes a narrow indoor space by having a high bed and using the empty space below as a living and storage space. The demand for multi-purpose furniture is increasing due to the recent increase in single-person households and wide-spread shared accommodation. According to the consumer research, one of the major drawbacks of a bunker bed was to get on and off the bed through a ladder or stairs. In order to overcome these problems, it was confirmed that the height adjustment function that can easily adjust the minimum and maximum heights of the bed was necessary. In this study, a height adjustable bunker bed was designed by using a gas spring that generates a repulsive force by the compressed gas inside. The design process consisted of the following three steps: Firstly, the hysteresis characteristics due to a friction and spring constant of a commercial gas spring were confirmed by measuring the repulsive force vs. compressed displacement. Secondly, requirements of the vertical lifting force exerted on the bed against gravity force were derived. Finally, the height-adjustable bed using the four-bar link mechanism was designed with 4 parameters so that the bed weight of 60-70 kgf could be adjusted to 800 mm in height by an affordable initial operation force. The performance was verified through prototype production and the results of vertical displacement and force to move were nearly the same as designed. In addition, an electrically operated height-adjustable bed was also designed with linear actuators and the performance was proved with the prototype.

  • 본 연구에서는 고속철도 ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$역사 공사구간 중에 굴착구간에 인접하여 하천이 위치하고, 공사구간 좌측에는 항상 만수위 상태의 저수지가 위치하고 있어 지반굴착시 지하 5m 깊이에서 지하수위면이 발생하는 구간에 설치된 부력앵커의 거동특성에 관한 연구이다. 따라서 본 연구는 지하수위면이 발생하는 구간에서 설치된 부력앵커의 현장시험을 통해 시공시 영구적으로 지하수위에 의한 부력을 방지할 수 있는 부력앵커를 이용하여 구조물을 안정적으로 시공하고 지속적인 유지관리를 원활히 하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 부력앵커 시험은 Bar Type Anchor를 Anchor의 길이와 규격별로 구분하여 인발시험을 실시하였다. 현장시험은 영구 앵커의 길이, Bar의 외경, 천공경을 변화시켜 가며 시험앵커 9본에 대한 시험을 수행하였다. 시험을 통해 앵커의 한계하중, 앵커체 바깥면의 인발저항, 하중 및 부착응력 분포, 앵커의 천공지경의 영향, 정착길이의 영향 및 지표면의 거동에 대하여 알아보았다. 그리고 부력방지용 Bar Type 앵커의 하중전달 및 파괴 메카니즘을 중심으로 앵커의 거동 특성에 대해 알아보았다.
