교정용 loop 스프링의 force system에 영향을 주는 요소 (Factors affecting force system of orthodontic loop spring)

  • 생역학적으로 우수한 스프링을 설계하기 위해서 스프링의 형태에 여러 가지 변화를 주면서 각 상황에서 force system이 변하는 양상을 수치분석계산과 spring tester를 이용한 실험과 비교하였다. 주어진 해부학적인 한계 내에서 최대한 생역학적 효율을 높이는 요소들을 제시하였다. 1. 스프링의 높이가 증가하면 M/F ratio는 증가하고 L/D rate은 감소한다. 2. 스프링의 최소 굽힘 모멘트 부위보다 위에 wire를 첨가하면 M/F ratio는 증가하고 L/D rate은 감소한다. 3. 스프링의 최소 굽힘 모멘트 부위보다 아래에 wire를 첨가하면 M/F ratio는 감소하고 L/D rate도 감소한다. 4. 스프링의 위쪽에 아무리 wire를 많이 첨가하여도 스프링의 높이 이상의 M/F ratio는 얻을 수 없다. 5. 제한된 높이의 스프링으로 충분한 M/F ratio를 얻기 위해서는 부가적인 모멘트가 필요하다. 6. 스프링의 수평 길이가 증가할 수록 M/F ratio와 L/D rate는 감소하므로 부가적인 모멘트는 점점 각도가 증가할 수 있도록 스프링 전체에 부여할 필요가 있다. 7. L/D rate는 재료, 단면, 그리고 형태에 영향을 받지만 M/F ratio는 재료나 단면에 관계없이 스프링의 형태에만 영향을 받는다.

지유생간탕(地楡生肝湯)이 흰쥐의 간(肝)에 미치는 영향(影響) (Experimental Study on the protective effects of Jiyusaenggan-Tang on liver injury.)

  • In order to investigate the protective effects of Jiyusaenggan-Tang by F-I(Jiyusaenggan-Tang aspirated by distilled water), F-II(Non-polysaccharides in Jiyusaenggan-Tang) and F-III(Polysaccharides in Jiyusaenggan-Tang), experimental studies were performed in mice with liver injury induced by $CCI_4$, and d-galactosamine. The results were summarized as follows : 1. The increases of the serum GOT activities in mice induced by $CCI_4$ were inhibited significantly by the administration of highly concentrated FIII. The increases of the serum GPT, LDH, and ALP activities in mice induced by $CCI_4$ were inhibited significantly by the administration of highly concentrated FI and FIII. 2. The increases of the serum total-cholesterol and triglyceride activities in mice induced by $CCI_4$ were inhibited significantly by the administration of highly concentrated FI, FII and FIII. 3. On liver injury induced by the $CCI_4$, the activities of GOT, GPT, ALP, LDH were inhibited by highly concentrated FIII, F-I, F-II, and F-I, F-II, F-III on total cholesterol level and F-III, F-I, F-II on triglyceride level in order of their efficacies. And F-III is considered to be the most effective component. 4. The increases of the serum GOT, GPT activities in mice induced by d-galactosamine were inhibited significantly by the administration of FI and FIII. The increases of the serum LDH, ALP activities in mice induced by d-galactosamine were inhibited significantly by the administration of FI and FIII. 5. The increases of the serum Total-cholesterol, Triglyceride activities in mice induced by d-galactosamine were inhibited significantly by the administration of FI, FII and FIII. 6. The increases of the serum GOT, GPT activities in mice induced by d-galactosamine were inhibited significantly in F-III administrated group and then F-I in order of efficacies. FII does not showed significant effect, on inhibiting the activities of serum GOT and GPT levels. The activity of ALP was inhibited by F-III, F-I, F-II, LDH by F-III, F-I in order of efficacies, and F-II did not showed significant effect on LDH activity. The triglyceride level was decreased significantly by F-III, F-II, F-I and the total cholesterol level by F-II, F-I, F-III in order of their efficacies. Judging from the above results, it is considered that Jiyusaenggan-Tang has protective effect against liver injury, and that Polysaccharides in Jiyusaenggan-Tang is more effective.

Synthesis of Certain 6-(Arylthio)uracils and Related Derivatives as Potential Antiviral Agents

  • New series of 6-(arylthio)uracils, 6-(4-substituted-1-piperazinyl)uracils, 2,4,5-trioxo-1H,3H-benzothiopyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidine and 5-aryl-2,4-dioxo-1H,3H-pyrimido[5,4-f]benzo[1,4]thiazepines have been prepared and screened for their in vitro activity against herpes simplex-1 virus (HSV-1) and human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1). The in vitro cytotoxic activity was also evaluated. The results of biological testing revealed that compound 5b showed marginal activity against HSV-1, while compounds 5b and 5f exhibited marginal activity against HIV-1. The rest of the tested compounds were found devoid of antiviral activity against both HSV-1 and HIV-1.

  • This study was undertaken to investigate the effect of indomethacin on prostaglandins in 4-Nitroquinoline-N-Oxide (4-NQO) induced palatal carcinoma of albino rats. 128 Sprague-Dawley strain albino rats-about 100g in body weight-were used in this study, divided into as belows; 1. Normal group (16-albino rats) with no treatment, 2. Control group (16-albino rats) treated with prophylene application onto palatal mucosa 3 times a week. 3. Experimental group I (48-albino rats) treated with 0.5% 4-NQO in prophylene application onto palatal mucosa 3 times a week. 4. Experimental group II (48-albino rats) treated with 0.5% 4-NQO in prophylene application with administered $20{\mu}g/ml$ of indomethacin in drinking water ad. lib. Four animals were sacrificed 7th, 13th, 19th, and 25th week respectively in normal and control group, and 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 19th, 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th and 29th week respectively in experimental group I and II at each time. The palatal and lingual tissues were excised and kept frozen at $-70^{\circ}C$. Densitometer scan and Beta-counting counter were used for the thin layer chromatography of the arachidonic acid metabolites. The obtained results were as belows; 1. In normal and control group, there was little change of the arachidonic acid metabolites during experiment period, and the tissue homogenates included prostaglandin $D_2$, 6-keto-prostaglandin $F_{1{\alpha}}$, prostaglandin $E_2$, thromboxane $B_2$, prostaglandin $F_{2{\alpha}}$ in that order of relative abundances. 2. In experimental group I, prostaglandin $D_2$, and prostaglandin $E_2$ were increased, while 6-keto-prostaglandin $F_{1{\alpha}}$ and thromboxane $B_2$ were decreased in relative abundances of arachidonic acid metabolites. And there was little change in prostaglandin $F_{1{\alpha}}$ 3. In experimental group II, prostaglandin $D_2$, and prostaglandin $E_2$ were increased, while 6-keto-prostaglandin $F_{1{\alpha}}$ and thromboxane $B_2$ were decreased in relative abundances of arachidonic acid metabolites. And there was little change in prostaglandin $F_{2{\alpha}}$ also. 4. In the range of increase in prostaglandin $D_2$, and prostaglandin $E_2$, and that of decrease in 6-keto-prostaglandin $F_{1{\alpha}}$ and thromboxane $B_2$, in relative abundances, there was wider in experimental group I than in group II. 5. In the range of increase in prostaglandin $D_2$, and prostaglandin $E_2$, and that of decrease in 6-keto-prostaglandin $F_{1{\alpha}}$ and thromboxane $B_2$, in relative abundances, there was wider in palatal mucosa than in lingual mucosa in experimental group I and II.

파라핀 코팅된 Rb원자 증기 셀에서 원자결맞음 분광 (Atomic Coherence Spectroscopy in the Paraffin Coated Rb Atom Vapor Cell)

  • 본 연구에서는 파라핀으로 코팅된 Rb원자 증기셀에서 전자기 유도 투과(Electromagnetically induced transparency: EIT)와 Hanle 스펙트럼을 관측하고 분석하였다. EIT스펙트럼은 독립적으로 발진하는 두 대의 외부 공진형 반도체 레이저를 이용하여 $^{85}Rb$$D_1$ 전이선($F_g=2$, $3{\rightarrow}F_e=3$)에서 관측하였고, Hanle 스펙트럼은 한대의 외부 공진형 반도체를 이용하여 $^{87}Rb$$D_1$ 전이선($F_g=2{\rightarrow}F_e=1$)의 자기 부준위 사이의 3준위 $\Lambda$형 구도에서 관측하였다. 파라핀 코팅된 루비듐 증기 셀에서 Hanle 스펙트럼에서 이중구조를 관측할 수 있었고,증기셀 주변의 자기장의 세기를 변화시켜서 얻은Hanle 스펙트럼에서 이중구조의 스펙트럼 형태의 변화를 외부자기장의 방향과 크기에 따른 조사하였다. 이때 이중 구조에서 좁은 영역의 스펙트럼의 선폭은 200 Hz로 측정되었다.

Quantum Mechanical Study of the O(1D) + HCl → OH + Cl Reaction

  • Quantum mechanical calculation is performed for the $O(^1D)$ + HCl ${\rightarrow}$OH + Cl reaction using Reactive Infinite Order Sudden Approximation. Shifting approximation is also employed for the l ${\neq}$ 0 partial wave contributions. Various dynamical quantities are calculated and compared with available experimental results and quasiclassical trajectory results. Vibrational distributions agree well with experimental results i.e. product states mostly populated at $v_f$ = 3, 4. Our results also show small peak at $v_f$ = 0, which indicates bimodal vibrational distribution. The results show two significant broad peaks in ${\gamma}_i$ dependence of the cross section, one is at ${\gamma}_i$ = $15^{\circ}-35^{\circ}$ and the another is at ${\gamma}_i$= $55^{\circ}-75^{\circ}$ which can be explained as steric effects. At smaller gi, the distribution is peaked only at higher state ($v_f$ = 3, 4) while at the larger gi, both lower state ($v_f$ = 0) and higher state ($v_f$ = 3, 4) are significantly populated. Such two competing contributions (smaller and larger ${\gamma}_i$) result in the bimodal distribution. From these points we suggest two mechanisms underlying in current reaction system: one is that reaction occurs in a direct way, while the another is that reaction occurs in a indirect way.

제연구역 출입문의 차압 및 개방력 측정기준의 실효성 분석에 관한 연구 (Study on the Analysis of Differential Pressure of the Access Door for a Smoke Control Zone and the Effectiveness of the Measurement Criteria of its Opening Force)

  • 본 연구에서는 화재실과 인접부 제연구역의 차압 및 방화문의 개방력을 측정할 때의 문제점을 분석하고, 객관적인 방법에 의해 측정된 실측값을 제시하는데 있다. NFSC 501A의 제연설비 가동 시 출입문의 개방에 필요한 힘은 110 N 이하로 규정하고 있다. 제연설비가 설치된 공간에서 제연설비가 작동하지 않을 때는 KS F 2805의 시험방법에 의해서 개방력의 측정이 가능하지만 제연설비가 작동되었을 때는 화재실과 제연실의 차압에 의해 발생되는 추가적인 힘이 필요하므로 기준에서 제시하는 시험방법은 신뢰성이 부족함을 알 수 있다. 제연설비 가동 전 완전히 폐쇄된 상태의 개방력은 아날로그측정기($F_a$) 27.8 N, 디지털측정기($F_d$) 27.4 N을 각각 나타냈다. 그리고 문이 $5^{\circ}$ 개방된 상태의 개방력 $F_a$는 33 N, $F_d$는 33.6 N을 나타냈다. 제연설비가 작동되고 완전히 폐쇄된 상태의 개방력 $F_a$는 45.3 N, $F_d$는 46.9 N을 나타냈고, 문이 $5^{\circ}$ 개방된 상태의 개방력 $F_a$는 77.6 N, $F_d$는 76.0 N 등으로 확인되었다. 따라서 현재의 KS F 2805에서 제시하고 있는 기준과 상이하므로 적절한 기준의 검토가 요구된다.

군지연 시간 정합 CMOS 마이크로파 주파수 체배기 (Group Delay Time Matched CMOS Microwave Frequency Doubler)

  • 본 논문에서는 변형된 시간 지연 기법을 이용한 마이크로파 2차 주파수 체배기가 제안되었다. 제안된 주파수 체배기에서는 입력 신호와 지연된 신호 사이에 발생하는 군지연 시간 부정합을 전압 제어 지연 선로(VCDL)를 이용하여 보상하였다. 가변 슈미트 트리거를 이용한 군지연 시간 정합과 신호 파형의 성형(waveform shaping)으로 인해 원하지 않는 기본 주파수($f_0$)와 3, 4차 고조파 성분들이 충분히 제거할 수 있었다. 결과적으로 출력 단자에서는 오직 2 체배된 주파수 성분($2f_0$)만이 우세하게 나타난다 제안된 주파수 체배기는 1.15 GHz의 기본 주파수에서 설계되었고 TSMC 0.18 $\mu m$ 공정을 이용하여 제작되었다. 입력 신호 전력을 0 dBm 인가하였을 때, 2차 체배된 출력 주파수 성분의 측정된 전력은 2.57 dBm이었다. 2차 체배된 주파수 성분에 대해 $f_0,\;3f_0$, 그리고 $4f_0$ 성분의 제거율은 각각 43.65, 38.65, 그리고 35.59 dB이다.

팔체질 진단을 위한 단계별 설문지 개발 연구 (A Study on Stage Classification of Eight Constitution Questionnaire)

  • Objectives : Pulse diagnosis by Expert is the only way to classify 8 Constitutions so the study to supplement classifying method by the questionnaire has developed and modified and ECM-32 System has designed in 2010. But analyzing with Decision tree had many nodes and 32 important questions omitted while processing the data. So this study was to classify the 8 constitution patients into 2 groups first and analyze its characters in consecutive order. Methods : The participants of this study were 1027 patients who classified into one of the 8 constitutions according to pulse diagnosis and answered 251 questionnaires in 2010. They were divided into sympathetic nerve acceleration constitution and parasympathetic nerve acceleration constitution and analyzed with decision tree. Results : The reponses of the questionnaire were analyzed with 4 methods of 5 scales interval method from 0 to 5, Na, Low(1,2), Medium(3), High(4,5), average value, Y/N dichotomy. Average Value had no significance. 1. From the 5 scale interval method 6 questionnaires with 7 nodes (F5e, B1d, F7f, F2a, F1b, C4L) were significant. The accuracy was 92.5%. 2. From L, M, H method 7 questionnaires with 7 nodes(F5e, B1d, F7f, F1a, B1c, C4L, P3d) were significant. The accuracy was 92.5%. 3. From Y/N dichotomy 9 questionnaires with 9 nodes( F5e, B1d, F7f, F1a, B1c, C4L, B1b, P1i, B2a) were significant. The accuracy was 93.18%. Conclusions : Based on this study, Yes or No dichotomy method was most significant and categorized among the 4 methods. Unlike previous studies which used interval scale method only, Y/N dichotomy method was more statistically significant with the questionnaire to supplement the method of pulse diagnosis. For further study by analyzing decision tree method in consecutive order, the patients can be divided into 8 Constitutions with higher significance with less questionnaires.

Effects of dietary forage-to-concentrate ratio on nutrient digestibility and enteric methane production in growing goats (Capra hircus hircus) and Sika deer (Cervus nippon hortulorum)

  • Objective: Two experiments were conducted to determine the effects of forage-to-concentrate (F:C) ratio on the nutrient digestibility and enteric methane ($CH_4$) emission in growing goats and Sika deer. Methods: Three male growing goats (body weight $[BW]=19.0{\pm}0.7kg$) and three male growing deer ($BW=19.3{\pm}1.2kg$) were respectively allotted to a $3{\times}3$ Latin square design with an adaptation period of 7 d and a data collection period of 3 d. Respiration-metabolism chambers were used for measuring the enteric $CH_4$ emission. Treatments of low (25:75), moderate (50:50), and high (73:27) F:C ratios were given to both goats and Sika deer. Results: Dry matter (DM) and organic matter (OM) digestibility decreased linearly with increasing F:C ratio in both goats and Sika deer. In both goats and Sika deer, the $CH_4$ emissions expressed as g/d, g/kg $BW^{0.75}$, % of gross energy intake, g/kg DM intake (DMI), and g/kg OM intake (OMI) decreased linearly as the F:C ratio increased, however, the $CH_4$ emissions expressed as g/kg digested DMI and OMI were not affected by the F:C ratio. Eight equations were derived for predicting the enteric $CH_4$ emission from goats and Sika deer. For goat, equation 1 was found to be of the highest accuracy: $CH_4(g/d)=3.36+4.71{\times}DMI(kg/d)-0.0036{\times}neutral$ detergent fiber concentrate (NDFC,g/kg)+$0.01563{\times}dry$ matter digestibility (DMD,g/kg)-$0.0108{\times}neutral$ detergent fiber digestibility (NDFD, g/kg). For Sika deer, equation 5 was found to be of the highest accuracy: $CH_4(g/d)=66.3+27.7{\times}DMI(kg/d)-5.91{\times}NDFC(g/kg)-7.11{\times}DMD(g/kg)+0.0809{\times}NDFD(g/kg)$. Conclusion: Digested nutrient intake could be considered when determining the $CH_4$ generation factor in goats and Sika deer. Finally, the enteric $CH_4$ prediction model for goats and Sika deer were estimated.
