Signal Transmission Characteristics Improvement of Serial Advanced Technology Attachment Connector (SATA 커넥터의 신호 전달 특성 개선)

  • 본 논문에서는 SATA(Serial Advanced Technology Attachment) 커넥터의 차동 임피던스를 정합하여 신호 전달 특성을 개선한다. 3차원 FEM(Finite Elements Method) 전자기장 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 SATA 커넥터의 차동 모드 S-파라미터를 추출하고, 신호 전달 특성을 분석한다. SATA 커넥터의 반사 손실 ($S_{dd11}$)은 5 GHz 까지 20 dB 이하의 값을 나타내고, 삽입 손실($S_{dd21}$)은 0.1 dB 이하의 값을 나타낸다. 또한 인덕턴스, 커패시턴스, 상호 인덕턴스, 상호 커패시턴스를 추출하여 차동 임피던스를 계산한다. SATA 커넥터의 차동 임피던스는 107.3 ${\Omega}$으로 부정합이다. 차동 임피던스를 정합하기위해서 커넥터 신호 핀을 dx 방향으로 설계 변경한다. $d_x$ 방향으로 0.04 mm 증가 시켰을 때 차동 임피던스가 99.5 ${\Omega}$으로 최적으로 정합되었다. 또한 반사 손실은 1.5 GHz 에서 11 dB 개선되고, 삽입 손실은 최대 약 0.05 dB 개선되었다.

  • Chromosomal microarray (CMA) is a high-resolution, high-throughput method of identifying submicroscopic genomic copy number variations (CNVs). CMA has been established as the first-line diagnostic test for individuals with developmental delay (DD), intellectual disability (ID), autism spectrum disorders (ASDs), and multiple congenital anomalies (MCAs). CMA analysis was performed in 42 Korean patients who had been diagnosed with unexplained DD, ID, ASDs, and MCAs. Clinically relevant CNVs were discovered in 28 patients. Variants of unknown significance were detected in 13 patients. The diagnostic yield was high (66.7%). CMA is a superior diagnostic tool compared with conventional karyotyping and fluorescent in situ hybridization.

  • 제 3세대 platinum complex인 SKI 2053R에 의한 Salmonella typhimurium의 복귀변이빈도, CHL세포(Chinese Hamster Lung)에 대한 염색체이상 유발율 및 ddY계 마우스에서의 골수분화세포에 대한 염색체이상유발로 기인한 소핵의 빈도수를 관찰하여 SKI 2053R의 유전독성을 평가하였다. Salmonella typhimurium를 이용한 복귀돌연변이시험에서 SKI 2053R은 매우 경미한 정도의 돌연변이 유발성을 가지는 것으로 판단되며, 균주 특이적 돌연변이 유발성으로 보아 염기쌍치환형의 돌연변이를 유발하는 것으로 사료되며 포유류배양세포를 이용한 염색체이상실험에서 대사 활성 부재 및 존재하의 모든 시험 농도에서 10% 이상의 염색체이상을 가진 세포가 관찰되었으며 염색체 상의 종류로는 염색분체형 교환 (cse)이 가장 많이 관찰되었다. 설치류를 이용한 소헥시험에서는 ddY계 마우스 골수세포의 분화과정에서 염색체이상을 유발하며, 다염성적혈구의 정염성적혈구에 대한 출현비율이 감소하는 결과로 볼때 방추체기능의 저해를 일으키는 것으로 판단된다. 그러므로 본 시험조건데 있어서 SKI 2053R은 소핵을 유발하는 물질로 결론지었다.

  • Liquid crystalline thermosetting epoxy oligomer DD-A was synthesized with Diglycidyl ether of 4,4'-dihydroxy-α-methylstilbene (DGE-DHMS) and aniline in a ratio of 2:1 and cured with a catalytic curing agent, 1-Methyl Imidazole. The gelation times and vitrification times were measured to create Time-Temperature-Transition Diagrams with liquid crystalline phase changes. It was found that the gelation and vitrification times were decreased as the concentration of curing agent increased, and the vitrification curve showing a typical S-shape was confirmed.

The Topographical Factors Affecting the Water Quality of Iwonchon Basin (이원천 유역의 하천수질에 미치는 지형요인)

  • This survey was performed from March 1993 to March 1998, in order to clarify the relationships between water quality and topographical factor. The study sites were two reservoir basins; Kaesim and Jangchan in Iwon-myon, Okchon-gun, Chungcho'ngbukdo Province. Basin shape factors of Kaesim reservoir were at 0.030∼0.210 (mean value 0.090), those of Jangchan reservoir were at 0.217∼0.452 (mean value 0.325). The mean basin shape factor of Jangchan reservoir was 3.61 times larger than that of Kaesim reservoir because its stream width was narrower and mean stream length was shorter. In the correlation between distance from the source of stream (L) and basin area (A), Iwonchon basin was calculated as L=1.44A/sup 0.6/. Circularity ratio was 17.114 in Kaesim (22% of Kum River), and 7.444 in Jangchan. Elongation ratio was 0.357 in Kaesim, 0.636 in Jangchan and 0.282 in Kum River. Precipitation summation period of Jangchan was 1.54 times slower than that of Kaesim. Rainfall reaching time in each small basin was 337.53 min. in A'(Jangchan-ri) basin of Jangchan and 49.26 min in H (Iwon-ri) basin of Kaesim. In the relationship between watershed frequency (Df) and drainage density (Dd), the regression equation was Df=0.023Dd² in Kaesim and Df=0.189Dd² in Jangchan reservoir. As slope degree increased, DO became higher (Y/sub DO/=0.19X+6.5927, r=0.8l), but COD(Y/sub COD/=-0.2092X+9.7104, r=0.52) became lower. Total nitrogen was increased with the increase of basin shape factor and circularity ratio. Ratio of B/sub OD/ to COD was 1/1.2(Y/sub BOD/ = 1.2984 X/sub COD/-3.2004, r=0.9l).

Study in Occupational Exposure to Radiations and Radioactive Isotopes (방사선 및 방사성동위원소 근로자 피폭실태 연구)

  • This study aims to provide basic data for establishing the safety and health plan by investigating the exposure conditions in the facilities registering business about handling radiations and radioactive isotopes in Korea. dose levels(working space, worker location) of the workers in 153 facilities were measured using surveymeter, and individual exposure concentration[(shallow dose(SD), depth dose(DD)] in 27 facilities using thermal luminescence dosimeter(TLD). In accordance with the measurement results by business type[fire fighting prevention business(FFPB, n=10), financial insurance business(FIB, n=3) and other facilities(n=140)] using surveymeter, those three business type groups showed difference (p<0.000). Dose levels of worker location for FFPB and FIB were significantly higher than 10.0 ${\mu}Sv$/hr, the allowable standard for radiations and radioactive isotopes, and they were higher 109.3 times(p<0.000) and 187.5 times(p<0.000) than those in other facilities. The concentration of TLD[FFPB(n=10), other facility (n=17)] in DD of FFPB was significantly higher than that in other facility(p=0.05). In accordance with the analysis result on relationship between surveymeter and TLD, the dose on working space and worker location(r=0.406, p<0.05), worker location dose and SD(r=0.453, p<0.05), worker location dose and DD(r=0.553, p<0.01), and SD and DD(r=0.927, p<0.001) had all related each other. It is urgently required to change FFPB and FIB from the facilities requiring registration for handling radiations and radioactive isotopes to the facilities that shall get permission for handling radiations and radioactive isotopes by reestablishing the legal administration area, for safety and health of radiation occupants.

  • The major purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of the long-term care insurance program. In order to estimate the impact of policy accurately, certain bias which might hamper the validity of this study has been removed by Propensity Score Matching(PSM) and Double Difference(DD) method from the semi-experimental design. To study the effects of long-term care insurance on the elderly and their family members as social outcome variable sand the quality of life of their family and satisfaction in family relationships, the third and fourth waves of Korea Welfare Panel are used to match experimental and comparative groups by the propensity score matching. Then, DD method, using the panel fixed effects model, is applied to estimate the differences of those groups'treatment effects before and after the policy implementation. As a result, it was found that the Quality of life on the elderly and their family members is statistically meaningless, while the satisfaction in family relationships has much increased after the policy implementation. The result has a limitation in that this evaluation is performed at the point when the long-term insurance program has not been ripened enough. However, there is an important implication on the significance of realizing the main goal of the long-term care insurance to improve the quality of life of the elderly and their family members and as for the potentiality of further system improvements.

  • This paper presents a production method to GRM coefficients which is consists of 3n polarities to n variables over GF(3). General production method is searching for transformation matrix for a single variable and then kronecker products for n times. This paper presents a production method of GRM coefficients using DD(Decision Diagrma). Change of coefficients to a single variable are apply to DD and extended to n variables.

  • In this paper two quick boosting charge pump circuits for high-speed EEPROM memory are proposed. In order to improve initial charge transfer efficiency, one uses weighted capacitors where each stage has different clock coupling capacitance, and the other uses a multi-path structure at the first stage. SPICE simulation results show that these charge pumps have improve drising-time characteristics, but their $V_{DD}$ mean currents are increased a little compared with conventioanl charge pumps. The rising time upt o 15V of the proposed charge pumps is 3 times faster than that of dickson's pump at the cost of 1.5 tiems more $V_{DD}$ mean current.rrent.
