The Functional Requirements of Core Elements for Research Data Management and Service (연구 데이터 관리 및 서비스를 위한 핵심요소의 기능적 요건)

  • Increasing the value of data, paradigm shifts in research methods, and specific manifestations of open science indicate that research is no longer text-centric, but data-driven. In this study, we analyzed the services for DCC, ICPSR, ANDS and DataONE to derive key elements and functional requirements for research data management and services that are still insufficient in domestic research. Key factors derived include DMP writing support, data description, data storage, data sharing and access, data citations, and data management training. In addition, by presenting functional requirements to the derived key elements, this study can be applied to construct and operate RDM service in the future.

A Study on Regional Blocs of International Crude Oil Futures Market (국제 원유선물시장의 지역블록화에 관한 연구)

  • This study intends to examine the regional blocs of the international crude oil futures market by analyzing the dynamic conditional correlation between the international crude oil futures markets using the DCC-GARCH model. For statistical data, from April 2, 2018 to March 31, 2022, international crude oil futures prices such as Europe, the United States, China, and Dubai were used. To summarize the results of the study, first, the phenomenon of regional blocs in the international crude oil futures market is occurring, and it is found that it is gradually strengthening as time goes by. Second, it was found that the dynamic correlation of the international crude oil futures market is temporarily strengthened when a supply-demand imbalance problem occurs due to a global shock. Third, it was found that the volatility of the Chinese crude oil futures market affects the international crude oil futures market. This study confirmed that the regional blocs phenomenon in the international crude oil futures market is strengthened as time goes by. In particular, it suggested that China's influence in the international oil market would increase.

  • The total synthesis of insulin A chain (1-21) with properly protected sulfhdryl groups of three cysteins for the correct intra and inter disulfide bond formation has been accomplished on 2-bromopropionylated 2% DVB-styreneresin support employing manually operated rotary vessel. The sulfhydryl groups of cysteins were protected with acetamidomethyl, benzyl, and benzhydryl respectively. Glutamine and asparagine were attached to the peptide chain by active ester coupling, all other amino acids were coupled with DCC/HOBT. The synthesized peptide was purified by DEAE Sephadex A-25 and gel filtration Sephadex LH-20. The final product was found to be homogeneous by HPLC, electrophoresis, and amino acid analysis. The overall yield of the pure isolated peptide was 6%.

  • Drug Dclivcry system (DDS) purpose to getting better remedial result by improving medication from ordinary methods. Applied for DDS, to improve selectivity and comtinuity during absorbing and delivery step, polmer drug (prodrug) was prepared by the esterification with dextran in such of biodegradable polymer and phthalylsulfathiazole with is efficient for entilitis. The polymer durg was prepared with dextran and phthalylsulfathiazole by the esterification. The synthetic procedures of polymer drug was performed by acid chloride and DCC methods. Polymer drug was synthesized in high yield by acid chloride method than DCC method. The antibiotic activities of polymer drug exhibited growth-inhibitory activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, E. coli, Salmonella typhimurium, Klebsiella pneumoniae at the concentration of 500 *g/m* in general through in vitro. As a result of test, polymer drug has 1/2 MIC than phthalylsulfathiazole. Also, it has high level MIC as much as phthalylsulfathiazole with Proteus, Pseudomonas. We conducted possibility of DDS as an applied for medicine with synthesized polymer drug by using natrural polymer. We consider that clinical research must be followed to verify safety and efficacy for controlled release, activity and toxicity.

  • The transport rates of $H^+$ ion by DBC and DCC as carrier molecules through organic liquid membranes were determined at 25$^{\circ}$C. The transport rates depend highly on the dielectric constants of membrane solvents and these results were discussed in terms of Born's potential energy barrier methods. The sizes of anions also affect the transport rates and these results were well explained theoreticlly by extended Born's equation.

Analysis of Pore Structure for Porous Body with Coal Fly ash and Clay (석탄회-점토계 다공체의 기공구조 분석)

  • Porous body was prepared from coal fly ash 70 wt%0clay 30 wt% slip using DCC(Direct Coagulated Casting) method. Effect of the specific gravity of the slip on the pore size and distribution of the sintered body was examined by the SEM observation of microstructure and mercury porosimetry measurement of the pore size distribution. Average pore size of the porous sintered body was about 2.5μm for all slips with specific gravity of 1.55, 1.60 and 1.65g/cm3, respectively. Sintered body prepared from the slip of specific gravity of 1.60g/cm3 have the narrowest pore size distribution. slip of specific gravity of 1.55g/cm3 shows broader pore size distribution due to slow gellation process. Slip of specific gravity of 1.65g/cm3 required large amount of deflocculant and showed large variation of the viscosity with addition of coagulant which resulted in very unstable slip properties.

On-line Generation of Three-Dimensional Core Power Distribution Using Incore Detector Signals to Monitor Safety Limits

  • It is essential in commercial reactors that the safety limits imposed on the fuel pellets and fuel clad barriers, such as the linear power density (LPD) and the departure from nucleate boiling ratio (DNBR), are not violated during reactor operations. In order to accurately monitor the safety limits of current reactor states, a detailed three-dimensional (3D) core power distribution should be estimated from the in-core detector signals. In this paper, we propose a calculation methodology for detailed 3D core power distribution, using in-core detector signals and core monitoring constants such as the 3D Coupling Coefficients (3DCC), node power fraction, and pin-to-node factors. Also, the calculation method for several core safety parameters is introduced. The core monitoring constants for the real core state are promptly provided by the core design code and on-line MASTER (Multi-purpose Analyzer for Static and Transient Effects of Reactors), coupled with the core monitoring program. through the plant computer, core state variables, which include reactor thermal power, control rod bank position, boron concentration, inlet moderator temperature, and flow rate, are supplied as input data for MASTER. MASTER performs the core calculation based on the neutron balance equation and generates several core monitoring constants corresponding to the real core state in addition to the expected core power distribution. The accuracy of the developed method is verified through a comparison with the current CECOR method. Because in all the verification calculation cases the proposed method shows a more conservative value than the best estimated value and a less conservative one than the current CECOR and COLSS methods, it is also confirmed that this method secures a greater operating margin through the simulation of the YGN-3 Cycle-1 core from the viewpoint of the power peaking factor for the LPD and the pseudo hot pin axial power distribution for the DNBR calculation.

  • This study aimed to synthesize new anticonvulsive agents as potential dual acting prodrugs. For the synthesis of ester or amide prodrug types, p-hydroxybenzaldehyde or valproic acid was coupled with clinically usable anticonvulsants or GABAmimetics with use of DCC/DMAP coupling methods. Also their anticonvulsive activities were evaluated.

Development of a Screening Method and Device for the Detection of Escherichia coli from Agri-Food Production Environments and Fresh Produce

  • This study was conducted to develop a screening method using Colilert-18 and a device for the detection of E. coli from agri-food production environments and fresh vegetables. The specificity and sensitivity of Colilert-18 by temperature ($37^{\circ}C$ and $44^{\circ}C$) were evaluated with 38 E. coli and 78 non-E. coli strains. The false-positive rate was 3.8% (3/78) and 0% (0/78) at $37^{\circ}C$ and $44^{\circ}C$, respectively. The detection limit of E. coli at $37^{\circ}C$ at <1.0 log CFU/250 ml was lower than that at $44^{\circ}C$. The efficiency of the developed device, which comprised an incubator equipped with a UV lamp to detect E. coli in the field, was evaluated by measuring the temperature and UV lamp brightness. The difference between the set temperature and actual temperature of the developed device was about $1.0^{\circ}C$. When applying the developed method and device to various samples, including utensils, gloves, irrigation water, seeds, and vegetables, there were no differences in detection rates of E. coli compared with the Korean Food Code method. For sanitary disposal of culture samples after experiments, the sterilization effect of sodium dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC) tablets was assessed for use as a substitute for an autoclave. The addition of one tablet of NaDCC per 50 ml was sufficient to kill E. coli cultured in Colilert-18. These results show that the developed protocol and device can efficiently detect E. coli from agri-food production environments and vegetables.
