In this paper, the spatiotemporal data mining methodology for detecting a cycle of power consumption pattern with the change of time and spatial was proposed, and applied to the power consumption data collected by GIS-AMR system with an aim to use its resulting knowledge in real world applications. First, partial clustering method was applied for cluster analysis concerned with the aim of customer's power consumption. Second, the patterns of customer's power consumption data which contain time and spatial attribute were detected by 3D cube mining method. Third, using the calendar pattern mining method for detection of cyclic patterns in the various time domains, the meanings and relationships of time attribute which is previously detected patterns were analyzed and predicted. For the evaluation of the proposed spatiotemporal data mining, we analyzed and predicted the power consumption patterns included the cycle of time and spatial feature from total 266,426 data of 3,256 customers with high power consumption from Jan. 2007 to Apr. 2007 supported by the GIS-AMR system in KEPRI. As a result of applying the proposed analysis methodology, cyclic patterns of each representative profiles of a group is identified on time and location.

In general, GIS provides a user with geographical information according to his requirements after a computer stores digitized spatial data from real scenes. Geographical information from digitized spatial data lacks of reality due to the exclusion of real scenes. However, Augmented Reality(AR) allows a user to see the real world with virtual objects superimposed upon or composited with the real world. Therefore it enhances a user's perception of the real world. In this paper, we present the development on 3D geographical information guide system using augmented reality that displays the real world with virtual objects such as building name, road name, etc., in real time.

Experiments using real guided weapons for the development of the LADAR(Laser radar) are not practical. Therefore, we need computing environment that can simulate the 3D detections by LADAR. Such simulations require dealing with large sized data representing buildings and terrain over large area. And they also need the information of 3D target objects, for example, material and echo rate of building walls. However, currently used 3D models are mostly focused on visualization maintained as file-based formats and do not contain such semantic information. In this study, as a solution to these problems, a method to use a spatial DBMS and a 3D model suitable for LADAR simulation is suggested. The 3D models found in previous studies are developed to serve different purposes, thus, it is not easy to choose one among them which is optimized for LADAR simulation. In this study, 4 representative 3D models are first defined, each of which are tested for different performance scenarios. As a result, one model, "Body-Face", is selected as being the most suitable model for the simulation. Using this model, a test simulation is carried out.

Indoor spatial data has great importance as the demand for representing the complex urban environment in the context of providing LBS (Location-based Services) is increasing. IndoorGML (Indoor Geographic Markup Language) has been established as the data standard for spatial data in providing indoor navigation, but its definitions and relationships must be expanded to increase its applications and to successfully delivering information to users. In this study, we propose an approach to integrate IndoorGML with Indoor POI (Points of Interest) data by extending the IndoorGML notion of space and topological relationships. We consider two cases of representing Indoor POI, by 3D geometry and by point primitive representation. Using the concepts of the NRS (node-relation structure) and multi-layered space representation of IndoorGML, we define layers to separate features that represent the spaces and the Indoor POI into separate, but related layers. The proposed methodology was implemented with real datasets to evaluate its effectiveness for performing indoor spatial analysis.

3D visualization of geological environments using remotely sensed data and the various sources of data provides new methodology to interpret geological observation data and analyze geo-information in earth science applications. It enables to understand spatio-temporal relationships and causal processes in the three-dimension, which would be difficult to identify without 3D representation. To build more realistic geological environments, which are useful to recognize spatial characteristics and relationships of geological objects, 3D modeling, topological analysis, and database should be coupled and taken into consideration for an integrated configuration of the system. In this study, a method for 3D visualization, extraction of geological data, storage and data management using remotely sensed data is proposed with the goal of providing a methodology to utilize dynamic spatio-temporal modeling and simulation in the three-dimension for geoscience and earth science applications.
This paper introduces the result of a 3D climbing navigation system development which is based on PDA. In the visual viewpoint, this system is better than conventional systems that were developed 2D based. In addition, the proposed system was developed so that it could become compatible with these systems. In this paper, we will illustrate as the functional viewpoint than technical description about the system development.

The present study examined the 3 dimensional space distribution characteristics of sea water intrusion using data available from previous observations. For this study, we used 3D FEMWATER, which is a 3 dimensional finite element model. The target area was around Daechang-ri, Gimje-si, Jeollabuk-do. The area is relatively easy to formulate a conceptual model and has observation wells in operation for surveying sea water intrusion. Considering the uncertainty of numerical simulation, we analyzed sensitivity to hydraulic conductivity, which has a relatively higher effect. According to the result of the analysis, the variation of TDS concentration had an error range of $-1,336{\~}+107 mg/{\iota}$. Taking note that the survey data from observation wells were collected when the boundary between fresh water and sea water in the aquifer was in equilibrium, we set the range of time for numerical simulation and estimated the spatial distribution of TDS concentration as the range of sea water intrusion. According to the result of estimation, the spatial distribution of TDS concentration calculated when 1,440 days were simulated was taken as the range of sea water intrusion. Using the result of calculation, we can draw not only vertical views for a certain section but also horizontal views of different depth. These views will be greatly helpful in understanding the spatial distribution of the range of sea water intrusion. In addition, the result of this study can be used rationally in proposing an optimal quantity of water pumping through investigating the moving route of sea water intrusion over time in order to prevent excessive water pumping and to maintain an optimal number of water pumping wells per interval.
The fact that the limits of information recency, diversity, and usability are mainly caused by the supply oriented geospatial data and service development is commonly recognized. It is recently tried to overcome the limits by facilitating user experience and VGI(Volunteered Geographic Information) in several geospatial web services. This study suggests conceptual architecture and service scenario for geospatial collaborative platform prototype through review and examination of previous researches. The prototype, composed of 4 unit modules: 3D POI Creation Module, 3D POI Application Module, 3D POI/Event Management Module, 3D POI/Event Monitoring Module, provides the capability of collaboratively dealing with geospatial work. The suggested service scenario is demonstrated by developing prototype for the service modules.

A controller who is responsible for visitor's safety makes a decision about measures for visitor safety in human-based decision making process. Many potential accidents that are caused by human error lurk in results of the process. The accidents can be decreased by changing the decision making process from human-based into technology-based. Technology-based decision making process can catch a controller's attention through data filtering, alarm filtering, and so on. So, the controller can get information on occurrence of an unforeseen accident pro-actively. Development of 3D SICS is caused of this needs. This paper shows a methodology of this research, results of up to now, study plan of next year, and contribution of 3D SICS development.

The mines in our country are complex in geography and shape and because of its small scale, accurate surveying performance and 3D modeling are necessary for mine development and management and mining plans. However, due to the data acquisition and processing technology and economy, the existing methods are currently used. The structure, mining, and mining area of the mine are recorded and managed based on the 2D drawings. As a result, it is true that there is risk of accidents caused by problems of accuracy as well as waste of personnel and time. In recent years, research data on geology and geospatial information on mines have been integrated into a database in foreign countries, and they are used for mine management and mining planning. In this study, we tried to construct spatial information for mining management and mining plan using laser scanner. Through research, spatial information about the mine was effectively obtained and produced data modeled through data processing. The 3D model for mining mines is expected to be a valuable tool for establishing and operating a safe mining plan for mines.
