1.2GPa급 강판 판재 성형에서 스프링백 감소를 위한 금형 보상 설계 (Compensation Design to Reduce Springback in Sheet Metal Forming of 1.2GPa Ultra High Strength Steel)

  • The manual modification of stamping die has widely been used in order to reduce springback after sheet metal forming. When UHSS (Ultra High Strength Steel) is used in sheet metal forming, the die design considering springback compensation is more difficult because higher strength sheet has more springback. In this study, the optimization method was used in order to design die geometry considering springback compensation after forming of 1.2GPa UHSS. Die geometries were defined as design variables and the springback distance from the die surface was conducted as object function in optimization process. The optimized die geometry considering springback compensation was performed using finite element and optimization analysis. The simulation results such as thickness distribution and springback amount were compared with measured data using 3D optical measurement system (GOM ARGUS, ATOS). And the prediction of springback amount showed a good agreement within test results.

TEM 정밀 시편 제작용 몰리브덴 합금 미세 고정 부품의 제작을 위한 절삭 가공 방법에 관한 연구 (A study on machining method about molybdenum alloy micro fixing part for TEM precision specimen.)

  • In these days, increase requirement of TEM (Transmission Electro Microscope) in not only scientific field but also industrial field. Because TEM can measure inner-structure of specimen a variety of materials like metal, bio. etc. When use TEM, specimen should be thin about 50nm. So making for thin specimen, use Ion milling device that include specimen holder. The holder generally made of Aluminium Aluminium holder is worn away easily. For this reason, using time of ion milling with aluminum holder is too short. To solve the problem, we replace aluminium holer to molybdenum alloy holder. In this paper, we design molybdenum alloy holer for CAM and modify CAD modeling for effective machining process. So we array a specimen 3 by 4 and setup orientation for one-shot machining process. Next we make a CAM program for machining. we making a decision two machining strategy that chose condition of tool-path method, step-down, step-over. etc. And then conduct machining using CNC milling machining center. To make clear difference between case.1 and case.2, we fixed machining conditions like feed-rate, main spindle rpm, etc. After machining, we confirm the condition of workpiece and analysis the problems case by case. Finally, case.2 work piece that superior than case.1 cutting with WEDM because that method can not ant mechanical effect on workpiece.

주얼리용 마스터패턴의 쾌속제작에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Rapid Manufacturing for Jewelry Master Patterns)

  • 주얼리 제조 공정중 마스터패턴 제조 공정은 전체 제조원가의 20%를 차지하기 때문에 매우 중요한 공정이다. 지금까지는 수작업으로 왁스 패턴을 제작하고 이를 이용하여 석고형을 만들고 석고형으로 마스터 패턴을 제작하는 복잡한 공정을 거쳐 제작하였다. 본 연구는 쾌속조형기를 이용하여 듀라폼 재질의 몰드를 만들고 저융점합금을 이용하여 마스터패턴을 직접 제작하는 새로운 공정을 개발하였다. 듀라폰의 용융진이 190℃ 이므로 용융점 70℃의 Pb-Sn-Bi-Cd 계의 저융점 합금을 주물재료로 이용하여 마스터패턴을 제작하였다.

사출성형공정에서 다수 품질 예측에 적용가능한 다중 작업 학습 구조 인공신경망의 정확성에 대한 연구 (A study on the accuracy of multi-task learning structure artificial neural network applicable to multi-quality prediction in injection molding process)

  • In this study, an artificial neural network(ANN) was constructed to establish the relationship between process condition prameters and the qualities of the injection-molded product in the injection molding process. Six process parmeters were set as input parameter for ANN: melt temperature, mold temperature, injection speed, packing pressure, packing time, and cooling time. As output parameters, the mass, nominal diameter, and height of the injection-molded product were set. Two learning structures were applied to the ANN. The single-task learning, in which all output parameters are learned in correlation with each other, and the multi-task learning structure in which each output parameters is individually learned according to the characteristics, were constructed. As a result of constructing an artificial neural network with two learning structures and evaluating the prediction performance, it was confirmed that the predicted value of the ANN to which the multi-task learning structure was applied had a low RMSE compared with the single-task learning structure. In addition, when comparing the quality specifications of injection molded products with the prediction values of the ANN, it was confirmed that the ANN of the multi-task learning structure satisfies the quality specifications for all of the mass, diameter, and height.

3차원 형상 분석을 통한 브래지어 하컵 패턴의 원리 분석 (Development of the Fundamental Methodology of Lower Cup Pattern depending on 3D Shape Analysis of Breast)

  • This study analyzes the shape change of the breast according to the replica combination method of the lower cup and suggest a pattern construction for the end use purpose. To provide appropriate brassiere patterns to each individual who has various 3D shape characteristics, the ways of layout of 3D replicas were investigated as well as evaluated subjectively and objectively. As for experimental brassieres, basic replicas from the mold cup of long-run brassiere were combined into five different ways to find the appropriate lower brassiere cup pattern. Eighteen women wore experimental brassieres and their breasts were analyzed using the Geomagic Design X program (3D System, Inc., Korea). As result, the pattern that matched the vertexes of the four pieces of the replica and naturally spread the bottom part was best for raising and pushing toward the inside breasts. The fit was good in the case of a pattern in which the convex portions overlapped both sides of the four replica pieces where the vertexes and the bottom part naturally spread apart. The subjects were able to differentiate comfortably fitted brassieres and highly functional brassieres.

  • In the semiconductor industry the memory and chip were developed to high density memory and high performance chip, so circuit design was also high integrated and the test bed was needed to be thin and fine pitch socket. LGA(Land Grid Array) IC socket with thin wall thickness was designed to satisfy this requirement. The LGA IC socket plastic part was manufacture by injection molding process, it was needed accuracy, stiffness and suit resin with high flowability. After injection molding process the side gates were needed to remove for further assembly process. ln this study, the cold press cutting process was applied to remove the gates. For design of punch and die, the cold press cutting analysis was implemented by$DEFORM-2D^{TM}$ ln consideration of the simulation results, an adequate punch and die was designed and made for the cutting unit. In order to verify the performance of cutting process, the roughness of cutting section of the part was measured and was satisfied in requirement.

충격압출 공정을 이용한 직사각형 배터리 케이스 성형 시 불균일 금속 유동 발생 원인 고찰 (An investigation of non-uniform metal flow during rectangular battery case using impact extrusion process)

  • In this study, relevant to impact extrusion process of the rectangular batter case for electric vehicles, numerical and experimental analyses were conducted to reduce the earring defects induced in the unevenness of metal flow. Since the earring is caused by the non-uniform metal flow induced in the friction and aspect ratio in the bottom section. As a way to reduce the earring, variable land die concept was applied. In order to analyze numerically the complex metal flow by using commercial finite element package, DEFORM 3D, impact extrusion process was simplified in upsetting mode at bottom section and extrusion mode at land section. The impact extrusion experiments were conducted to verify the assessment of process parameter for impact extrusion. As results, variable land die which has longer longitudinal section makes reduce earring defects. In addition, it was confirmed that the effect that slug shape like dog-bone also can reduce the earring. This study is expected to be able to present the useful design guidelines for manufacturing the battery case.

국내.외 브래지어의 패턴비교분석 및 착의평가 연구 (Comparative Pattern Analysis and the Fitness Evaluation of Brassieres)

  • This study evaluates the fitness of brassieres through size measurement, comparative pattern analysis, cross section map analysis, 3-D shape analysis number, and fitness evaluation with a focus on domestic and overseas brands. Experimental brassieres were selected as mold brassieres of 3/4 cup in 75A size that is considered a popular design. Brands of selected brassiere were 2 domestic brands (A, B), 1 licensed brand (C), and 2 overseas brands (D, E). Subjects were 8 women in their early 20's. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, analysis of variance, reliability analysis, and factor analysis. The results were as follows; the size and pattern of brassieres showed a difference by each brand even though brassieres are the same design. In the wearing effect of brassieres, overseas brand brassieres played a major role in the breast-up effect, but they were not appropriate for the somatotype of Korean women. Domestic brand brassieres showed the volume-up effect, that was confirmed by the increasing bust circumference, bust depth when subjects wore it. In addition, the licensed brand brassieres showed the correction effect of body shape. Therefore, when purchasing a brassiere, the most important condition is to consider the individual characteristics of the somatotype. The results of factor analysis through a functional evaluation show that wearing satisfaction, size satisfaction, and the position of the bust point were important factors for fitness satisfaction and purchase.

국부가압 다이캐스팅 공정에서 3차원 유동 및 응고해석을 통한 자동차 변속기 Gear Housing의 주조방안 설계 최적화 (Optimization of Casting Design for Automobile Transmission Gear Housing by 3D Filling and Solidification Simulation in Local Squeeze Diecasting Process)

  • In the partial squeeze casting process, the filling behavior of liquid metal and solidification pattern in thick area have significant influence on the quality of casting products and die life. For the optimal casting design of automobile transmission gear housing, various analyses were performed in this study by using computer simulation code, MAGMAsoft and the simulation results were compared and analyzed with experimental results. By air pressure criteria, internal porosities caused by air entrap during the mold filling were predicted and reduced remarkably by modification of gating system. Also, optimal squeeze-time lag to apply partial squeeze pin in thick area was calculated and the castings was free from shrinkage defects with the result of solidification analysis. Consequently, casting design for automobile transmission gear housing was optimized and approved by Computer Tomography.

SLS 3D 프린터를 이용하여 제작된 PA2200의 단축 반복 인장하중에 따른 피로 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the fatigue characteristics of SLS 3D printed PA2200 according to uniaxial cyclic tensile loading)

  • In this study, the fatigue behavior and fatigue life characteristics of PA2200 specimens fabricated by SLS 3D printer were studied. Fatigue tests were performed according to the standard specification (ASTM E468) and fatigue life curves were obtained. In order to perform the fatigue test, mechanical properties were measured according to the test speed of the simple tensile test, and the self-heating temperature of the specimen according to the test speed was measured using an infrared temperature measuring camera in consideration of heat generation due to plastic deformation. There was no significant difference within the set test speed range and the average self-heating temperature was measured at 38.5 ℃. The mechanical strength at the measured temperature showed a relatively small difference from the mechanical strength at room temperature. Fatigue test conditions were established through the preceding experiments, and the loading conditions below the tensile strength at room temperature 23 ℃ were set as the cyclic load. The maximum number of replicates was less than 100,000 cycles, and the fracture behavior of the specimens with the repeated loads showed the characteristics of Racheting. It was confirmed that SLS 3D printing PA2200 material could be applied to the Basquin's S-N diagram for the fatigue life curve of metal materials. SEM images of the fracture surface was obtained to analyze the relationship between the characteristics of the fracture surface and the number of repetitions until failure. Brittle fracture, crazing fracture, grain melting, and porous fracture surface were observed. It was shown that the larger the area of crazing damage, the longer the number of repetitions until fracture.
