Security Analysis based on Differential Entropy m 3D Model Hashing (3D 모델 해싱의 미분 엔트로피 기반 보안성 분석)

  • The content-based hashing for authentication and copy protection of image, video and 3D model has to satisfy the robustness and the security. For the security analysis of the hash value, the modelling method based on differential entropy had been presented. But this modelling can be only applied to the image hashing. This paper presents the modelling for the security analysis of the hash feature value in 3D model hashing based on differential entropy. The proposed security analysis modeling design the feature extracting methods of two types and then analyze the security of two feature values by using differential entropy modelling. In our experiment, we evaluated the security of feature extracting methods of two types and discussed about the trade-off relation of the security and the robustness of hash value.

Concurrent Watermarking Scheme for Robust and Fragile Authentication of 3D Animation Content (3D 애니메이션 콘텐츠의 강인성 및 연약성 인증을 위한 동시성 워터마킹 기법)

  • This paper presents a concurrent watermarking scheme with both robustness and fragileness for copyright protection and authentication of 3D animation contents. In a 3D animation model, the proposed scheme embeds not only robustly the watermark into geometry node for copyright protection but also fragilely the watermark into position and orientation interpolators for content authentication. This paper names the former as the robust geometry watermarking and the latter as the fragile interpolator watermarking. The proposed scheme performs independently these watermarkings for satisfying at one time the robustness and the fragileness of 3D animation model. From experimental results, we verified that the watermark embedded by the geometry watermarking has the robustness against many attacks from 3D public editing tools and also the watermark embedded by the interpolator watermarking has the fragileness against the same attacks.

A Study on User Authentication with Smartphone Accelerometer Sensor (스마트폰 가속도 센서를 이용한 사용자 인증 방법 연구)

  • With the growth of financial industry with smartphone, interest on user authentication using smartphone has been arisen in these days. There are various type of biometric user authentication techniques, but gait recognition using accelerometer sensor in smartphone does not seem to develop remarkably. This paper suggests the method of user authentication using accelerometer sensor embedded in smartphone. Specifically, calibrate the sensor data from smartphone with 3D-transformation, extract features from transformed data and do principle component analysis, and learn model with using gaussian mixture model. Next, authenticate user data with confidence interval of GMM model. As result, proposed method is capable of user authentication with accelerometer sensor on smartphone as a high degree of accuracy(about 96%) even in the situation that environment control and limitation are minimum on the research.

  • This paper proposes a method of user authentication through the patterns of arm movement with a wrist-type wearable device. Using the accelerometer sensor which is built in the device, the 3-axis accelerometer data are collected. Then, the collected data are integrated and the periodic cycle are extracted. In the cycle, the features of frequency are generated with the accelerometer. With the frequency features, 2D Gaussian mixture are modelled. For authenticating an user, the data(the accelerometer) of the user at some point are tested with confidence interval of the Gaussian distribution. The model showed a valuable results for the user authentication with an example, which is average 92% accuracy with 95% confidence interval.

  • The purpose of this study is to define a method of building an integrated service to provide various science and technology knowledge infrastructures that are helpful in R&D activities, and to show the cases that are adapted the methodologies. Knowledge infrastructures scattered throughout the entire R&D cycle, such as generating/development of ideas, finding the R&D project, performing the project, and spreading results, are segmented in terms of services, functions, information, and data, and links and converges to provide the knowledge infrastructure that desired by users in one place. We define the integrated service classification, integration level model, integrated architecture, and integrated user authentication system in consideration of logical linkage and integration rather than physical integration of individual knowledge infrastructures. Also, we considered the extensibility as the reference model for building of similar integrated service.

3D Content Model Hashing Based on Object Feature Vector (객체별 특징 벡터 기반 3D 콘텐츠 모델 해싱)

  • This paper presents a robust 3D model hashing based on object feature vector for 3D content authentication. The proposed 3D model hashing selects the feature objects with highest area in a 3D model with various objects and groups the distances of the normalized vertices in the feature objects. Then we permute groups in each objects by using a permutation key and generate the final binary hash through the binary process with the group coefficients and a random key. Therefore, the hash robustness can be improved by the group coefficient from the distance distribution of vertices in each object group and th hash uniqueness can be improved by the binary process with a permutation key and a random key. From experimental results, we verified that the proposed hashing has both the robustness against various mesh and geometric editing and the uniqueness.

Robust 3D Hashing Algorithm Using Key-dependent Block Surface Coefficient (키 기반 블록 표면 계수를 이용한 강인한 3D 모델 해싱)

  • With the rapid growth of 3D content industry fields, 3D content-based hashing (or hash function) has been required to apply to authentication, trust and retrieval of 3D content. A content hash can be a random variable for compact representation of content. But 3D content-based hashing has been not researched yet, compared with 2D content-based hashing such as image and video. This paper develops a robust 3D content-based hashing based on key-dependent 3D surface feature. The proposed hashing uses the block surface coefficient using shape coordinate of 3D SSD and curvedness for 3D surface feature and generates a binary hash by a permutation key and a random key. Experimental results verified that the proposed hashing has the robustness against geometry and topology attacks and has the uniqueness of hash in each model and key.

  • Information assurance(IA) refers to methodologies to protect engineering information by ensuring its availability, confidentiality, integrity, non-repudiation, authentication, access control, etc. In collaborative design, IA techniques are needed to protect intellectual property, establish security privileges and create "need to know" protections on critical features. Aside from 3D watermarking, research on how to provide IA to distributed collaborative engineering teams is largely non-existent. This paper provides a framework for information assurance within collaborative design, based on a technique we call role-based viewing. Such role-based viewing is achieved through integration of multi-resolution geometry and security models. 3D models are geometrically partitioned, and the partitioning is used to create multi-resolution mesh hierarchies. Extracting an appropriately simplified model suitable for access rights for individual designers within a collaborative design environment is driven by an elaborate access control mechanism.

  • Password, a traditional user confirmation method that is used for more than 100 years, has become useless as a lot of transactions are dealt by indirect contacts. As a result, an alternative for password is required now. In this paper, we propose a novel confirmation method, which is called Brain-Key. It uses an indirect password input method. It reduces the risks due to hacking, and prevents a big credit accident because it prevents passwords to be reused. Our proposed model has general applicability so that it can be applied in domestic market as well as international markets. This research may provide solutions for the security problems in the electronic commerce.
