We introduced a stereo camera on the aircraft to detect flight objects and to estimate the 3D position of them. The Saliency map algorithm based on PCT was proposed to detect a small object between clouds, and then we processed a stereo matching algorithm to find out the disparity between the left and right camera. In order to extract accurate disparity, cost aggregation region was used as a variable region to adapt to detection object. In this paper, we use the detection result as the cost aggregation region. In order to extract more precise disparity, sub-pixel interpolation is used to extract float type-disparity at sub-pixel level. We also proposed a method to estimate the spatial position of an object by using camera parameters. It is expected that it can be applied to image - based object detection and collision avoidance system of autonomous aircraft in the future.

The stereo radiation detection system detects the gamma source and acquires two dimensional left and right images for gamma source and visible objects using the detection result. And then the system measures the distance to the radiation source from the system in 3D space using stereo vision algorithm. In this paper, we implemented the fast detection algorithm for gamma source from the system in 3D space to reduce the detection time with image processing algorithms. Additionally, the system's performance is verified through experiments on gamma irradiation facilities. As a result, if the fast detection algorithm applied to the system, we can confirm that the detection system represents a 35% better performance than the conventional detection method that is full scanning to acquire the stereo image. We also have visualized a gamma source distribution through a 3D monitor using the stereo vision algorithm in order to provide the information of radiation spatial distribution to the user efficiently.

An aerial multi-looking camera system equips itself with five separate cameras which enables acquiring one vertical image and four oblique images at the same time. This provides diverse information about the site compared to aerial photographs vertically. However, multi-looking Aerial Camera for building a 3D spatial information don't use a large-size CCD camera, do uses a medium-size CCD camera, if acquiring forward, backward, left and right imagery of Certain objects, Aerial photographing set overlap and sidelap must be considered. Especially, Sideward-looking camera set up by the sidelap to determine whether a particular object can be acquisition Through our research we analyzed of sideward footprint and aerial photographing efficiency of Multi-view imagery by sidelap changing.
The aim of this paper is analysis of structure and development pattern about wooden coffin and chamber tombs in Gyeongju from the 2nd century B.C. to the 3rd century A.D. for researching to socio-political tendency and growth process of Sarokuk. Tombs buried with iron objects were built in Youngnam(嶺南) from the 2nd century B.C. with spread wooden coffin with stone mound(積石木棺墓). Also medium or small sized wooden coffin tombs buried with bronze mirror of western Han(前漢) and soft stoneware(瓦質土器) were appeared the 2nd century B.C. in Gyeongju, because of establishment of Han's commanderies(漢郡縣) in the Korean Peninsula and refuge from Daedong river(大同江) to Jinhan(辰韓). Separate tombs(獨立墓) with lots of bronze object ware assumed high ranked tombs of parsonage(司祭王) or local chief(地域首長). From the 2nd century A.D. the size of wooden coffin tombs became enlarged and funerary objects ware abundant, for example Sarari 130th tomb(舍羅里 130號). The burying pattern of this tomb is similar to wooden chamber tombs in Lelang(樂浪), which had prestige goods like lacquer ware and bronze mirror in wood box(木匣) beside coffin. Appearance of these wooden chamber tombs that were different from original wooden coffin tombs imply interaction between Lelang and these area with iron. Sarari community that held right of trade and distribution to outside through the geographical advantage grew up centered position in Gyeongju politically, socially, and culturally. Chamber in tomb as a new structural notion that can secure funerary objects became firmly was established from the 2nd century A.D. in Gyeongju and large sized wooden chamber tombs were generally built early of the 3rd century A.D. This tendency was reflected in stratification of community and growth as center of local state. After late of the 3rd century A.D. Gyeongju type wooden chamber tomb(慶州式木槨墓) which had subordinate outer coffin(副槨) was appeared and then subordinate outer coffin was as bigger as main chamber(主槨) the 4th century A.D., because of centralization and stratification in society and unification of various communities among the Gyeongju area.

A stereo vision system such as the structure of human's eyes has two cameras at separated positions from which we can obtain two input images and then put them together to create 3-D image. It can show more virtual effect than the conventional 2-D image system. But, the stereo image system has to control the convergence angle so that the stereo disparity could always be zero because observers can be fatigued and unconscious of stereo image in conditions that the stereo disparity is not zero for a long work. Therefore, in the paper, optical JTC system which can process adaptive tracking of a specific moving object is proposed as a new approach to keep the stereo disparity to be zero. In this method, optical JTC system obtains the values of the relative locations of a moving objects in left and right images and then these values are used for maintaining the stereo disparity to be zero. Through some optical experiments the proposed stereo vision system is proved to be insensitive to background noises and operate in real-time.

The existing cadastral record cannot meet various and changing demands on land information, improve user convenience, and raise administrative efficiency. In addition, three-dimensional parcels, or spatial objects about three-dimensional space cannot be registered in the conventional cadastral record. The limitation of cadastral information based on two dimensions is quite stressing the necessity of three-dimensional cadastral record. The purpose of this study is to develop new limns of cadastral record model in order. In register three-dimensional positions and right relations of land and buildings. This study examined land cases where space was being three-dimensionally used. As the result, cadastral record models both separated by steps and integrated were developed, which can contain matters of land, buildings, and right registration about three-dimensional land parcels. Also, this study suggested a method where a building can be separately registered according to it's the superficies division.

Recently, Through the linkage and opening, the fusion of the spatial information, it is necessary for productive ecosystem to provide a variety of information and to increase the civil use. Depending on the economic growth, demand for quality of life and well-being has been on the increase. Spatial information service contents for the public convenience has emerged to solve the problem such as health, safety, welfare and discomfort of daily life This study aims to implement search services for a tailored residence space through the three-dimensional data modeling on cadastral information. To achieve this goal, we established the requirements for deriving a registered object by investigating recent trend with respect to existing cadastral data model and defined property and relationship. Focusing on Songpa-gu, Jamsil station in Seoul, we implemented search services for a tailored residence space for three-dimensional right analysis in conjunction with residential and commercial complex building. As a result, we derived a way to supply 3D cadastre information through open platforms (VWorld) and to represent efficiently, which is able to improve the quality of spatial information service contents for the public convenience as well as to widen utilization of information.
As random access memory chip gets cheaper, it becomes affordable to realize main memory-based database systems. The disk-based spatial indexing techniques, however, cannot direct apply to main memory databases, because the main purpose of disk-based techniques is to reduce the number of disk accesses. In main memory-based indexing techniques, the node access time is much faster than that in disk-based indexing techniques, because all index nodes reside in a main memory. Unlike disk-based index techniques, main memory-based spatial indexing techniques must reduce key comparing time as well as node access time. In this paper, we propose an efficient spatial index structure for main memory-based databases, called Tmr-tree. Tmr-tree integrates the characteristics of R-tree and T-tree. Therefore, Nodes of Tmr-tree consist of several entries for data objects, main memory pointers to left and right child, and three additional fields. First is a MBR of a self node, which tightly encloses all data MBRs (Minimum Bounding Rectangles) in a current node, and second and third are MBRs of left and right sub-tree, respectively. Because Tmr-tree needs not to visit all leaf nodes, in terms of search time, proposed Tmr-tree outperforms R-tree in our experiments. As node size is increased, search time is drastically decreased followed by a gradual increase. However, in terms of insertion time, the performance of Tmr-tree was slightly lower than R-tree.

There is an increasing request for 3D data and outlines on building for urban planning and design. This paper describes an approach to extract building using Digital Surface Models(DSM) and stereo pairs of aerial images. DSM contain informations not only about the topographic surface like Digital Elevation Models(DEM), but also about buildings and other objects higher than the surrounding topographic surface, e.g. tees. We therefore describe our approach consisting of two step procedures. The first step of the approach is to generate DSM by stereo matching using Maximum Likelihood Estimation and Dynamic Programming. The proposed stereo matching is using the cost function for finding the disparity between the left and right image, and the Dynamic Programming for solving the stereo matching problem. The second step is to detect building outlines using the DSM and the edge informations extracted from a digital aerial image by Sobel Operator. The overlay analysis of the DSM and the edge information by Sobel Operator was efficient to detect building outlines.

We propose a new expert system for recovering the broken fragments of relics into an original form using computer graphics and image processing. This paper presents a system with an application to tombstones objects of flat plane with letters carved in for assembling the fragments by placing their respective fragments in the right position. The matching process contains three sub-processes: aligning the front and letters of an object, identifying the matching directions, and determining the detailed matching positions. We apply least squares fitting, vector inner product, and geometric and RGB errors to the matching process. It turned out that 2-D translations via fragments-alignment enable us to save the computational load significantly. Based on experimental results from the damaged cultural fragments, the performance of the proposed method is illustrated.
