Fabrication of Real-Time Hologram for the Implementation of 3-D Moving Picture (3차원 동영상을 구현하기 위한 실시간 홀로그램의 제작)

  • A real-time holography system using LCD with CCD camera is proposed. In this system, the rainbow hologram is used since it can be reconstructed by white light source. And to record on CCD camera, a kind of in-line holography method is used to widen the width of the fringe pattern. The interference fringe pattern by proposed system is detected with CCD camera and transferred to the LCD. A 3-dimensional image is reconstructed when the white light source illuminates the LCD. If the position of the input image is changed, that of the reconstructed image is also changed. So it can represent 3-dimensional moving images at real-time. In this paper, to confirm the usefulness of the proposed method, the reconstructed image by holographic film is compared to the same reconstructed image by LCD. In the recording process, the optimal ratio of the reference and object beam intensity is also investigated.

Fabrication of a Subminiature 3 Dimensional Antenna for the Mobile Phone Handset (이동 통신 단말기용 초소형 3차원 안테나 제작)

  • We implemented a subminiature internal antenna that is around 1 cc volume for the mobile phone. The fundamental type of studied antenna is IFA(Inverted F Antenna), and this antenna is designed to be improved efficiency and gain due to minimum current cancellation by the avoidance of multiple bending pattern. For the implementation of multiple band, helix is applied to compensate for short antenna length for low frequency band, and a 3 dimensional pattern is used for high frequency band. We made two kinds of 3D structure antenna. One is a 1 cc volume antenna for GSM/DCS band on the bare board set, and the other is a 1.5 cc volume for the GSM/USPCS mobile phone set. Measurements showed good gain performance that average gain of two antenna on each band are $-3.46{\sim}-0.45\;dBi$ and $-4.80{\sim}-3.29\;dBi$ respectively.

This trend is bringing positive changes to the South Korean animation industry, where diverse and high-quality animation content is becoming increasingly important. As investment in technology grows, video production technology continues to advance. Specifically, 3D animation and VFX production technologies are enabling effects that were previously unthinkable, offering detailed and realistic graphics. The Fourth Industrial Revolution is providing new opportunities for this technological growth. The rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is automating repetitive tasks, thereby enhancing production efficiency and enabling innovations that go beyond traditional production methods. Cutting-edge technologies like 3D animation and VFX are being continually researched and are expected to be more actively integrated into the production process. The future of AI and advanced technologies holds boundless potential, and there is growing anticipation for how these will elevate the video content industry to new heights.

  • Recently, 3D printer technologies have been used in many research efforts for high precision manufacturing. In particular, the rapid prototyping technology has been developing rapidly, because it can be manufactured in a short time with a 3D designed shape. This paper relates to the production characteristics of the straight bevel gear designed using a 3D print using the PolyJet method. The characteristics of a 3D printed straight bevel gear were compared with a machined straight bevel gear. The accuracy of the produced straight bevel gear was evaluated by backlash, meshing pattern, face angle, root angle, and surface roughness.

Comfort Evaluation of Posture Braces for Rounded Shoulders Using 2D and 3D Patterns (2D 및 3D 패턴 활용 둥근어깨 교정보조기 착용감 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to design posture braces for rounded shoulders by examining characteristics of incorrect postures of rounded shoulders. The review of information in literature on rounded shoulder postures, correction exercise methods, and posture correction devices, has prompted this study to determine the design and material of a proper posture brace for rounded shoulders. In order to develop the pattern of a posture brace for rounded shoulders for women, the study carried out a comfort evaluation of the braces based on the 2D patterns through drafting method by utilizing the body measurements and relational formulae associated with the major body measurement such as bust circumference and on the 3D patterns of the brace which were obtained from 3D human model of women in their early 20s in Korea. Differences in angles were noted when 2D and 3D patterns of shoulder posture braces were compared. The side neck point was relocated farther outside in the 3D pattern to allow additional flexibility in the back-neck area, and the shoulder band was lowered by 14.8°, increasing armhole area comfort. The upper hemline of the front panel was found to rotate upward at an angle of 22.0° as the underarm point of the 3D pattern moved upwards than the underarm point of the 2D pattern, which enhanced comfort in the abdomen area. The 3D designs of shoulder posture brace was preferred in this study, as they significantly improved comfort while conducting fit evaluation compared to the 2D patterns of shoulder posture brace.

  • 본 연구는 신한복 저고리에 대한 선호도 조사를 통해 추출된 신한복 저고리 디자인을 기본으로 하여 신한복 저고리 원형을 개발하고자 한다. 이를 통해 신한복 저고리 생산에 기본이 되는 패턴에 관한 정보를 제공하고자 한다. 연구에 사용된 프로그램은 CLO 3D와 DC Suite 5.1 프로그램이며, 분석에는 SPSS 26.0을 활용하였다. 1차 외관평가를 통해 낮게 평가된 부분을 수정하여 어깨폭, 소매길이, 소매통, 앞단의 겹침 분량에 대한 수정이 이루어졌다. 2차 외관평가결과 저고리길이, 소매길이, 밑단둘레에 대한 수정이 요구되었다. 최종 신한복 저고리 패턴은 앞면, 뒷면, 옆면의 모든 항목에서 4.60이상으로 높은 평가를 받았다. 개발된 신한복 저고리 패턴은 20대 전반 여성의 체형에 맞추어져 있고 소재에 대한 고려 없이 3D 시뮬레이션 상에서의 일반적인 Physical parameter값에 맞추어 제작되었다. 따라서 향후 발전된 연구에서는 소재별, 저고리의 길이별, 연령별 신한복 저고리 패턴에 대한 연구가 이루어져야 할 것으로 생각된다.

A Study of the Patternmaking Methods for Mass Customization of the Men's Jacket (남성복 재킷의 Mass Customization을 위한 패턴 제작 방법 연구)

  • Three-dimensional body scanners were used for years in the clothing manufacturing fields. The 3D body surface provide essential data to draft patterns for mass customization, virtual fit model, and computerized patternmaking systems. This research proposed the methods of drafting patterns for men's jacket by using three dimensional body scan data. Eight male subjects were scanned, the surface data was flattened. The differentials of the flattened body surface and the jacket draft were measured, and analyzed the regressions. To verify the fit of the patterns, the jacket was constructed by the regression formulae and tested by experts. The fit of the jacket were significantly improved rather than a ready-made suit especially the shoulder areas. This means that the methods that we proposed were good to improve the fit of the garments and could be used effectively to implement mass customization strategies in the apparel retail industry.

Effect of Post-processing on Mechanical Properties of 3D Printed Carbon Chopped Fiber Reinforced Composites (3D 프린팅 된 탄소 단섬유강화 복합재료의 후처리 효과가 재료의 기계적 성능에 미치는 영향)

  • The high porosity of the infill pattern of carbon chopped fiber-reinforced Nylon composite structures fabricated by the fused filament fabrication (FFF) type 3D printers determines the mechanical performance of the printed structures. This study experimentally evaluated the mechanical performance of Onyx composite specimens fabricated with a rectangular infill structure under the hot-pressing condition to improve the mechanical properties by reducing the porosity of the infill pattern of the printed structure, and evaluated the best mechanical performance. The hot-pressing conditions (145℃, 4 MPa, 12 min) that induce the most appropriate mechanical properties were found. As a result of microscopic observation, it was confirmed that the infill porosity of the composite specimens subjected to post hot-pressing treatment was effectively reduced. In order to confirm the mechanical performance of the post-treated specimen, a tensile test and a three-point bending test were performed with a control specimen without post-treatment and a specimen printed with the same density and dimensions after post-treatment to evaluate the mechanical properties. As a result of comparison, it was confirmed that the mechanical properties were effectively improved when the post-treatment of hot-pressing was performed.

  • 홀로그래픽 스테레오그램은, 양안 스테레오스코픽 영상들을 레이저 기준파와 간섭시켜 생성된 홀로그래픽 패턴을 감광매질인 홀로그래픽 필름에 기록한 후, 이를 다시 광학적 회절을 이용하여 3차원 영상으로 재현하는 3차원 디스플레이의 한 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 다시점의 full-color, full-parallax 영상을 디지털 방식의 스테레오그램으로 제작하여 3차원 입체 영상으로 재현하기 위한 기록 시스템에서, 기록 매질인 홀로그래픽 필름 면에서의 영상을 고해상도 영상 센서를 이용하여 직접 획득하고, 이 영상 정보를 분석하여 광축을 제어함으로써, 왜곡없는 최적의 호겔을 형성하여 높은 회절 효율을 갖는 스테레오그램을 제작하기 위한 방법 및 장치에 대한 연구개발 결과를 기술하였다.

An Artificial Intelligence Evaluation on FSM-Based Game NPC (FSM 기반의 게임 NPC 인공 지능 평가)

  • NPC in game is an important factor to increase the fun of the game by cooperating with player or confrontation with player. NPC's behavior patterns in the previous games are limited. Also, there is not much difference in NPC's ability among the existing games because it's designed to FSM. Therefore, players who have matched with NPCs which have the characteristics may have difficulty to play. This paper is for improving the problem and production and evaluation of the game NPC behavior model based on wolves hunting model in real life. To achieve it, first, the research surveys and studies behavior states for wolves to capture prey in the real world. Secondly, it is implemented using the Unity3D engine. Third, this paper compares the implemented state transition probability to state transition probability in real world, state transition probability in general game. The comparison shows that the number of state transitions of NPCs increases, proportions of implemented NPC behavior patterns converges to probabilities of state transition in real-world. This means that the aggressive behavior pattern of NPC implemented is similar to the wolf hunting behavior pattern of the real world, and it can thereby provide more player experience.
