A controller who is responsible for visiter's safety makes a decision about measures for visiter safety in human-based decision making process. Many potential accidents that are caused by human error lurk in results of the process. The accidents can be decreased by changing the decision making process from human-based into technology-based. Technology-based decision making process can catch a controller's attention through data filtering, alarm filtering, and so on. So, the controller can get information on occurrence of an unforeseen accident pro-actively. The objective of this study is to suggest a concept of 3D spatial information control system for visitor flow control in multi complex building using technology-based decision making process. This study shows utilization of the system and contribution.

This paper illustrates some practical geographic information system (GIS) applications for aiding fishery managers and coastal area planners in analysing the likely control scheme of coastal farming areas, and in providing a flexible framework for decision making on fishery development and zoning issues. The effective management of marine farming operation is vitally important since it can greatly influence economic availability by determining capital outlay and by affecting running costs, rates of productions and mortality factors. GIS has been widely adopted elsewhere as a potent management tool in both the private and public sectors. GIS is now being extensively adopted in marine-associated activities. Here, we have used GeoMania v2.5 GIS software and its 3D Analyst extension module to visualize marine farming areas data that were collected around the Jinhae bay.

Many studies have been carried out for automatic extraction of building by LiDAR data or airphoto. Combining the benefits of 3D location information data and shape information data of image can improve the accuracy. So, in this research building recognition algorithm based on contour was used to improve accuracy of building recognition by LiDAR data and elaborate building boundary recognition by airphoto. Building recognition algorithm based on contour can generate building boundary and roof structure information. Also it shows better accuracy of building detection than the existing recognition methods based on TIN or NDSM. Out of creating buffers in regular size on the building boundary which is presumed by contour, this research limits the boundary area of airphoto and elaborate building boundary to fit into edge of airphoto by double active contour. From the result of this research, 3D building boundary will be able to be detected by optimal matching on the constant range of extracted boundary in the future.

In the 4th industrial revolution, research on solving urban problems using ICT technology is emerging. Representatively, research is being conducted mainly focusing on smart cities. 3D geo-spatial. Various case studies on smart cities are being conducted to solve urban problems, and in order to effectively implement smart cities, it is implemented on the basis of a digital twin interconnecting physical and virtual environments. To implement a digital twin, the concept of space is essential, and spatial information that composes the real world is also essential. Therefore, in order to implement the digital twin, this study conducted a study on the construction and modeling of 3D geo-spatial information based on the national spatial information establishment regulations and the international standard CityGML for buildings, water facilities, and transportation facilities in Jeonju. In Jeonju, the research area, the LOD was defined, and the possibility of digital twin based on geo-spatial information was determined through data collection, analysis, and construction for each detail. In this study, it is meaningful that a plan to construct geo-spatial information for the implementation of a digital twin is presented, and the result of the construction is modeled as an urban standard model. The results of study are expected to be used as reference for detailed construction plans and standard establishment by governments and local governments promoting smart city and digital twin construction in the future.

The increase in frequency and scale of natural disasters is the typical negative examples of the global climate change and the change of the human living environment in cities. The damage caused by natural disasters in particular including human and physical damage is directly linked to the safety and properties of citizens. Besides, the damage may occur to SOC facilities directly or indirectly. The SOC facilities damaged by disasters cause infringement of citizens safety rights. Therefore, a plan to provide prompt and effective risk map information by linking a 3D disaster information display system, which handles the information of the damage that may occur to SOC facilities such as bridges, beams, and dams at the time of disasters, with an on-site assistance application is suggested in this study. The prompt provision of risk map information is defined as a dynamic expression technology in this study. Also, disaster information is processed and compressed with a module developed to be linked organically to a system that displays disaster information, a proliferation system that can use the information on site, and a DB system that constructs a relationship with the information. Based on the module, the effective disaster information compression plan will be prepared, and the prompt information transmission system will be secured in the future.

Autonomous driving-related technologies are developing step by step by applying the degree of driving. It is essential that operational management technology for roads where autonomous vehicles move should also develop in line with autonomous driving technology. However, in the case of road operation management, it is currently managed using only two-dimensional information, showing limitations in the systematic operation management of lane and facility information and maintenance. This study proposed a plan to construct an operation management system architecture capable of 3D spatial information-based operation management by designing a convergence database that can process real-time big data with high-definition road map data. Through this study, when using a high-definition road map based operation management system for lane and facility maintenance in the future, it is possible to visualize and manage facilities, edit and analyze data of multiple users, link various GIS S/W and efficiently process large scale of real-time data.

Increasing transportation dependence on the metro system has lead to the convenience of passengers becoming as important as the transportation capacity. In this study, a pedestrian simulator has been developed that can quantitatively assess the pedestrian environment in terms of attributes such as speed and distance. The simulator consists of modules designed for 3D indoor map authoring and algorithmic pedestrian modeling. Module functions for 3D indoor map authoring include 3D spatial modeling, network generation, and evaluation of obtained results. The pedestrian modeling algorithm executes functions such as conducting a path search, allocation of users, and evaluation of level of service (LOS). The primary objective behind developing the said functions is to apply and analyze various scenarios repeatedly, such as before and after the improvement of the pedestrian environment, and to integrate the spatial information database with the dynamic information database. Furthermore, to demonstrate the practical applicability of the proposed simulator in the future, a test-bed was constructed for a currently operational metro station and the quantitative index of the proposed improvement effect was calculated by analyzing the walking speed of pedestrians before and after the improvement of the passage. The possibility of database extension for further analysis has also been discussed in this study.

Various researches and practices on asset management and asset-based mapping have been done with regard to engineering, industry, business and stocks marketing areas. Their notions and concepts are differently interpreted in response to different requirements. There are considerable research outcomes of management, operation and maintenance for physical, natural and digital assets. However, existing concept of asset management might have limitations to deal with diverse tangible or intangible assets at the individual/household/community level. In this paper, a conceptual framework of Hexad asset model is designed to explicate increase, decrease and other changes of assets flows as a geometric pathway. Particularly, consideration of lands and housing as important physical and natural assets to escape poverty not only leads to creation of an excellent 3D digital asset management, but also reaches to a new approach to asset-based mapping for a poverty information management and system.
GML is a markup language presented as exchange standard for geographic information by the OGC(Open GIS Consortium). In spatial network databases, researches for supporting GML(Geographic Markup Language) can be divided into the parsing, the storing and the retrieval of GML documents. Among them, the study on the storage of GML documents is essential for their efficient retrieval. However there is little research on the storing of GML documents whereas there have been a lot of researches on the storing of n documents. Because the storage schema designed for XML documents are not appropriate for geographic information, we, in this paper, propose three storage schema for efficiently storing GML documents including geographic information in order to solve the problem that the XML storage schema store duplicate data and need to search many tables for obtaining elements. In addition, we design and implement a low-level storage manager which can store GML documents using the proposed GML storage schema.
