  • The multimedia community needs an environmental data representation and interchange mechanism which not only satisfies the requirements of today's systems, but can be extended to meet future data sharing needs. This mechanism must allow for the standard representation of, and access to data. The SEDRIS STF(SEDRIS Transmittal Format)provides environment data users and producers with a clearly defined interchange specification. In this paper I develop data converter commercial data(3DS MAX) format to standard interchange format and vice verse without losing semantic of information content using SEDRIS standard interchange format.

  • As the number of stress-related diseases increases due to the prolonged Corona 19, Corona Blue is attracting attention. This social background causes negative emotions due to frustration at work, changes in existing life rhythms, and blockade of economic sources, and makes us understand our era as an era in need of healing. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to propose a 3D-based adventure filming game that adventures a fantastic space and stores memories and experiences through photos. For this, important elements of healing were explored through literature study, and based on this, a game using 3ds Max and Unity was implemented. As a result of the study, the game was implemented with a filming function that contains visual elements for cute and warm healing, an emotionally approaching story, and the meaning of space. This study provides a game that can provide non-face-to-face healing to users and presents effective and important healing factors to service providers.

Optimum Design of Junctionless MOSFET Based on Silicon Nanowire Structure and Analysis on Basic RF Characteristics (실리콘 나노 와이어 기반의 무접합 MOSFET의 최적 설계 및 기본적인 고주파 특성 분석)

  • The source/channel/drain regions are formed by ion implantation with different dopant types of $n^+/p^{(+)}/n^+$ in the fabrication of the conventional n-type metal-oxide-semiconductor field effect transistor(NMOSFET). In implementing the ultra-small devices with channel length of sub-30 nm, in order to achieve the designed effective channel length accurately, low thermal budget should be considered in the fabrication processes for minimizing the lateral diffusion of dopants although the implanted ions should be activated as completely as possible for higher on-current level. Junctionless (JL) MOSFETs fully capable of the the conventional NMOSFET operations without p-type channel for enlarging the process margin are under researches. In this paper, the optimum design of the JL MOSFET based on silicon nanowire (SNW) structure is carried out by 3-D device simulation and the basic radio frequency (RF) characteristics such as conductance, maximum oscillation frequency($f_{max}$), current gain cut-off frequency($f_T$) for the optimized device. The channel length was 30 run and the design variables were the channel doping concentration and SNW radius. For the optimally designed JL SNW NMOSFET, $f_T$ and $f_{max}$ high as 367.5 GHz and 602.5 GHz could be obtained, respectively, at the operating bias condition $V_{GS}$ = $V_{DS}$ = 1.0 V).

  • 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 개념을 게임과 애니매이션 그리고 메신저에 응용한 3-D Pet Messenger (3PM)을 설계하고 개발하였다. 요즘 검색엔진과 뉴스 서비스를 주로 제공하던 포털들이 메신저를 기반으로 하는 포털로 변신하고 있다. 3PM은 일상어 인 메신저 기반 포털 (Portal)을 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 개념과 육성 시뮬레이션 게임을 접목시켜서 발전적인 새로운 형태의 메신저를 지향하고 있다. 육성 시뮬레이션 게임에서는 3-D Pet을 양육하는 게임으로서 사용자가 자신의 사이버 애완동물을 다른 사용자에게 보낼 수도 있다. 만일 사용자가 다른 컴퓨터로 이동하면, 그 사이버 애완동물도 그 사용자를 따라가서 필요한 최신의 정보를 제공할 수 있도록 제작되었다. 유비쿼터스 개념에 기반을 둔 메신저와 3-D 애완동물을 이용한 육성 시뮬레이션 게임이 통합되도륵 시스템이 설계되었고, Visual C++/MySQL/OpenGL/3Ds Max등의 도구들을 이용하여 시작품을 제작하였다.

A Study on Game Character Rigging for Root Motion (루트 모션을 위한 게임 캐릭터 리깅 연구)

  • 실시간 3D 렌더링 게임의 제작 환경에서 캐릭터의 움직임은 모션 캡처(motion capture)를 통해 만들거나 애니메이터에 의해 제작된다. 걷기나 달리기 등 일정한 속도로 캐릭터가 움직이는 모션은 캐릭터가 제자리(in place)에서 움직이도록 한 뒤에 게임에서 프로그램에 의해 일정한 속도로 움직임으로써 구현할 수 있다. 하지만 일정하지 않은 속도로 움직이는 모션을 같은 방식으로 적용하면 캐릭터의 이동이 어색해진다. 이런 어색함을 보완하기 위해 언리얼이나 유니티 3D 등의 엔진에서는 루트 모션(root motion) 기능을 사용하고 있다. 그런데 루트 모션을 위한 계층 구조는 애니메이터의 작업 효율을 위한 계층 구조와 다른 측면이 있다. 본 논문에서는 3ds Max를 사용하여 애니메이터 친화적이고 루트 모션에도 적합한 캐릭터 리깅을 제시한다.

Device Characteristics of GaN MESFET with the maximum frequency of 10 GHz (최대추파 10 GHz GaN MESFET의 소자특성)

  • This paper reports on the fabrication and characteristics of recessed gate GaN MESFETs fabricated using a photoelectrochemical wet etching method. The unique etching process utilizes photo-resistive mask and KOH based etchant. GaN MESFETs with successfully recessed gate structure was characterized in terms of dc and RF performance. The fabricated GaN MESFET exhibits a current saturation at $V_{DS}$ = 4 V and a pinch-off at $V_{GS}$ =-3V The peak drain current of the device is about 230mA/mm at 300 K and the value is remained almost same for 500K operation. The $f_{T}$ and $f_{max}$ from the device are 6.357Hz and 10.25 GHz, respectively.y.y.

Standard Terminology System Referenced by 3D Human Body Model

  • In this study, a system to increase the expressiveness of existing standard terminology using three-dimensional (3D) data is designed. We analyze the existing medical terminology system by searching the reference literature and perform an expert group focus survey. A human body image is generated using a 3D modeling tool. Then, the anatomical position of the human body is mapped to the 3D coordinates' identification (ID) and metadata. We define the term to represent the 3D human body position in a total of 12 categories, including semantic terminology entity and semantic disorder. The Blender and 3ds Max programs are used to create the 3D model from medical imaging data. The generated 3D human body model is expressed by the ID of the coordinate type (x, y, and z axes) based on the anatomical position and mapped to the semantic entity including the meaning. We propose a system of standard terminology enabling integration and utilization of the 3D human body model, coordinates (ID), and metadata. In the future, through cooperation with the Electronic Health Record system, we will contribute to clinical research to generate higher-quality big data.

  • In year 2003, a soybean(Glycine max) sample showing severe dwarfing symptom was collected from a farmers' field in Cheongsong in Korea. The results from the diagnosis of the sample by RT-PCR revealed that it was infected by Soybean dwarf virus(SbDV), SbDV-L81. This study could be the first report of the occurrence of the virus in Korea. To further characterize the virus, the partial nucleotide sequence of the genomic RNA of SbDV-L81 was determined by RT-PCR using species-specific primers. The sequences were analyzed and subsequently compared to previously characterized strains of SbDV based on the pattern of symptom expression and vector specificities. The intergenic region between ORF 2 and 3 and the coding regions of ORF 2, 3 and 4 were relatively similar to those of dwarfing strains(SbDV-DS and DP) rather than those of yellowing strains(SbDV-YS and YP). Likewise, the result from the analysis of 5'-half of the coding region of ORF5 indicated that SbDV-L81 was closely related to strains(SbDV-YP and DP) transmitted by Acyrthosiphon pisum. These data from the natural symptom and the comparisons of five regions of nucleotide sequences of SbDV suggested that SbDV-L81 might be closely related SbDV-DP.

The Architectural Simulation for Kenjeongjun of Kyungbok Palace Using Computer Graphics (컴퓨터 그래픽을 이용한 경복궁 근정전 건축 시뮬레이션)

  • Recently, the concerning about cultural heritages has been increased. As a result, the protection, repairing and restoration of cultural assets have been actively in progress. The biggest project of cultural asset reconstructions is the restoration of Kyungbok Palace and it has been in proceed step by step since in 1989. The actual sizes of these traditional buildings have been measured and recorded for future maintenance. In this paper, the 3D computer graphic technique is used to help understanding the inner structures of the traditional buildings as well as their construction processes. In other word, the construction simulation of Keunjeongjun which is the center building of Kyungbok Palace have been produced using 3D computer graphic techniques. The purpose of this project is aiding people in understanding the process of traditional palace architecture in Korea.
