In this paper, the 3D positioning of IoT sensors with the Unity engine of android platform based home-hub was proposde for IoT(Internet of Things) users. Especially, the monitoring of IoT sensor and battery status was designed with the clustering of IoT sensor's position. The 3D positioning of RSSI(received signal strength indicator) and angle for new IoT sensor according to clustering method was described with the cooperation of beacon and received arrival signal time. This unity engine based smart hub platform can monitor the working situation of IoT sensors, and apply 3D video with texture for the life-cycling of many IoT sensors simultaneously. rs was described with RSSI(received signal strength indicator) and received angle.

This study presents on generation coefficients of the RFM using GEO-level stereo images of the IKONOS satellite. 3-D positioning and DEM generation of this model on the test field. In result, the maximum error of image coordinates acquired by the upward transform of the RFM did nat exceed 8 pixels. DEM was generated with kriging interpolation extracted three dimensional ground coordinate to rational quadratic function form, me compared it to reference digital elevation model made from 1:5,000 digital map and 1:1,000 digital map, and so, could generate digital elevation model in the accuracy as average RMSE of elevation was ${\pm}$ 3∼5 m in RFM.

The positioning accuracy of robots depends upon a forward kinematics which relates the joint variables to the orientation and position of the robot extremity in the absolute coordinate system. The relationship between two connective joint coordi- nates of a robot, which is the basis of the kinematics, is defined by 4 Denavit-Hartenberg parameters. But manufacturing errors in machining and assembly process of robots lead to disctrepancies between the design parameters and the physical structure. Thus, improving the positioning accuracy of robots reguires the identification of the actual link parameters of each robot. In this study, the least-squares method is used to calibrate the link parameters and off-line parameter calibration software is developed. Computer simulation is done to study the dependence of the calibration performance upon the DOF of the robot and number of acquired data set used in the least-squares method. 3 DOF Robot/Controller and specially designed 3D coordinate measurer is made and experiment is carried out to verify the theoretical and computational analysis.

Recent adoption of the generalized sensor model to IKONOS and Quickbird satellite imagery have promoted various research activities concerning alternative sensor models which can replace conventional physical sensor models. For example, there are the Rational Function Model(RFM), the Direct Linear Transform(DLT) and the polynomial transform. In this paper, the DLT model which uses just a few number of GCPs was suggested. To evaluate the accuracy of the proposed DLT model, the RFM using 35 GCPs and the bias compensation method(Fraser et al., 2003) were compared with it. Quantitative evaluation of 3B positioning results were performed with independent check points and the digital elevation models(DEMs). In result, a 1.9- to 2.2-m positioning accuracy was achieved for modeling and DEM accuracy is similar to the accuracy of the other model methods.

This paper proposes a novel indoor positioning system (IPS) that uses a calibrated camera sensor network and dense 3D map information. The proposed IPS information is obtained by generating a bird's-eye image from multiple camera images; thus, our proposed IPS can provide accurate position information when objects (e.g., the mobile robot or pedestrians) are detected from multiple camera views. We evaluate the proposed IPS in a real environment with moving objects in a wireless camera sensor network. The results demonstrate that the proposed IPS can provide accurate position information for moving objects. This can improve the localization performance for mobile robot operation.
Purpose: In this paper, we propose a direction of future research and development to be carried out in the passive tracking field by deriving a white space with enhanced search formula of patent analysis. Method: In this paper, we derive a white space by identifying the direction and the flow of technology change and by matrixing the object and solution through extensive patent search with enhanced search formula and analysis in the field of passive tracking technology. Result: By the proposed scheme, 'multi-target positioning and tracking' and '3D positioning technology' using artificial intelligence, adaptive/hybrid positioning technology, and radar/antenna were derived as white space technologies and confirmed with absence of any services or products. Conclusion: The derived white space technologies from this paper are the areas where patent applications are not active and there are not many prior patents, thus it is necessary to secure the rights through more active R&D and patent application activities.

For several years, although the demand of high accuracy kinematic positing using multiple bases has been increased, most of the commercial GPS processing softwares can provide the single-baseline solutions only. Thus, we studied the methods to improve the accuracy of the kinematic positioning using the network configuration based on the several single-baseline solutions. As discussed in this study, the positioning accuracy as well as the network stability is improved by introducing the geodetic network adjustment theories into the kinematic positioning application. Three different methods to remove the rank-deficiency, RLESS, BLIMPBE and SCLESS, are analyzed in this study. The 3D RMS error has been improved from 3.5cm(max) to 2.1cm using the network-based kinematic positioning, and it is desired to choose BLIMPBE and SCLESS depending on the accuracy of the base stations.
Utilization of CCTV in crime prevention for public safety is accepted as the most effective measure in terms of crime prevention and control. Also, it is frequently used as a device that shows evidence of an unexpected situation or record on public social relationship. However, it is rare to find a study that qualitatively accessed the monitoring performance of a certain space depending on the choice and positioning of CCTVs. Thus, this study suggested a technology that can quantitatively compare and assess the monitoring performance of CCTVs depending on view angle and effective sight range of cameras as well as the monitoring performance depending on positioning measures. For the analysis, the concept of 3-dimensional surveillance field in the form of a frustum was suggested while deriving 3-dimensional range of sight and quantitative monitoring performance by applying Isovist theory. For the analysis technology, space of analysis subject, point of view (camera), and target point (measurement node) were installed at a 3-dimensional space and in use of ray-tracing algorithm, the line segment that was visually connected between the point of view and target point was extracted and accumulated. For such verification, analysis application was constructed and then applied to four alternative models on view angle and distance as well as four alternatives on positioning in order to verify its efficacy. Through the experiment, it was possible to compare and assess visibility depending on alternatives while quantifying the results by understanding the shadow areas beyond the monitoring range.

This paper describes the positioning accuracy of GPS moduls (KGP9800C, KiRyung) which need to record the operating position of fishing boat as realtime processing in order to develope auto recording system of fishing boat's operating information, and then it's positioning accuracy for DGPS receiver (MGP-100D, Shin-A) and DGPS beacon (GP-36, Furuno) were analyzed. Futhermore, it was examined the positioning error of the GPS module with processing algorithm to minimize the effect of the signal fluctuations. The results indicate that the positioning error is able to decrease 5m as 2drms, and such improvement of positioning performance for GPS module (KGP9800C) can be provide the basic design data in the development of the auto recording system of fishing boat's operating information.

In this paper, a high accuracy stereo reconstruction method for surgery instruments positioning is proposed. Usually, the problem of surgical instruments reconstruction is considered as a basic task in computer vision to estimate the 3-D position of each marker on a surgery instrument from three pairs of image points. However, the existing methods considered the 3-D reconstruction of the points separately thus ignore the structure information. Meanwhile, the errors from light variation, imaging noise and quantization still affect the reconstruction accuracy. This paper proposes a method which takes the structure information of surgical instruments as constraints, and reconstructs the whole markers on one surgical instrument together. Firstly, we calibrate the instruments before navigation to get the structure parameters. The structure parameters consist of markers' number, distances between each markers and a linearity sign of each instrument. Then, the structure constraints are added to stereo reconstruction. Finally, weighted filter is used to reduce the jitter. Experiments conducted on surgery navigation system showed that our method not only improve accuracy effectively but also reduce the jitter of surgical instrument greatly.
