  • This paper investigates the motion control of a hydraulic motor-load system using the Simple Adaptive Control (SAC) method. The plant transfer function has been modelled mathematically. The open-loop responses have been obtained experimentally in order to identify the design parameters of transfer function. The hydraulic motor-load system has been modelled using the 3D CAD and imbedded in the hydraulic circuit simulation program to verify the overall performance. The experimental results confirm that the SAC method gives a good tracking performance compared to the PID control.

  • A series of model tests and analyses by load transfer function were performed to study load-settlement behaviour with relative compaction ratio of soil and embeded depth of pile. In the model tests, embeded depth ratio(L/D) of pile were installed 15, 20, 25 and relative compaction of soil(RC) is 85%, 95% and then cement were injected at around perimeter of pile. For analysis of embedded pile, the paper were compared results of model tests with analysis results by Vijayvergiya model and Castelli model, Gwizdala model of elastic plasticity-perfect plastic model and then the fitness load transfer mechanism was proposed to predict load-settlement behaviour of embeded pile. The analysis results of predicted bearing capacity by load transfer function, ultimate bearing capacity of embeded pile were approached to measured value and behaviour of initial load-settlement curve were estimated that load transfer function by Castelli were similar to measured value. The result of axial load analysis of bored pile shows that skin friction estimated by load transfer mechanism is investigated more a little than that of measured values.

  • An experimental study of jet impinging the non-isothermal heating surface with linear temperature gradient is conducted with the presentation of the turbulent flow characteristics and the heat transfer rate, represented by the Nusselt number. The jet Reynolds number ranges from 15,000 to 30,000, the temperature gradient of the plate is 2~4.2$^{\circ}C$/cm and the dimensionless nozzle to plate distance (H/D) is from 2 to 10. The results show that the peak of heat transfer rate occurs at the stagnation point, and the heat transfer rate decreases as the radial distance from the stagnation point increases. A remarkable feature of the heat transfer rate is the existence of the second peak. This is due to the turbulent development of the wall jet. Maximum heat transfer rate occurs when the axial distance from the nozzle to nozzle diameter (H/D) is 6 or 8. The heat transfer rate can be correlated as a power function of Prandtl number, Reynolds number, the dimensionless nozzle to plate distance (H/D) and temperature gradient (dT/dr). It has been found that the heat transfer rate increases with increasing turbulent intensity. The wall jet is influenced by temperature gradient and the effect becomes more important at higher radii.

  • In this paper, the extended inverse Chebyshev function have been derived from Chebyshev function. We presented normalized biquads coefficients of n=5, 6 for passband attenuation Ap(dB)=0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and stopband frequency Ws(rad/s)=1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6. A designed low-pass filter from extended inverse Chebyshev transfer function produces the magnitude haracteristic which is maximally flat in the passband and equalripple in the stopband as shown in fig. 3(c), (d). Finally, it showed the magnitude and loss characteristics through realistic circuit simulation, and presented element values.

  • A computationally-efficient approach to the calculation of the transient field of an acoustic radiator was developed. With this approach, a planar or curved source, radiating either continuous or pulsed waves, is divided into a finite number of shifted and/or rotated versions of an incremental source such that the Fraunhofer approximation holds at each field point. The acoustic field from the incremental source is given by a 2-D spatial Fourier transform. The diffraction transfer function of the entire source can be expressed as a sum of Fraunhofer diffraction pattern of the incremental sources with the appropriate coordinate transformations for the particular geometry of the radiator. For a given spectrum of radiator velocity, the transient field can be computed directly in the frequency domain using the diffraction transfer function. To determine the accuracy of the proposed approach, the impulse response was derived using the inverse Fourier transform. The results obtained agree well with published data obtained using the impulse response approach. The computational efficiency of the proposed method compares favorably to those of the point source method and the impulse response approach.

  • The quantitative aspects of 2D carbon-13 INADEQUATE (Incredible Natural Abundance DoublE QUAntum Transfer Experiment) experiment were studied on the basis of the time needed in various concentrations of samples. In order to evaluate the quantitative time of this experiment, eight compounds were selected (M. W. ca. 150-500). The effect on time needed of various concentrations showed exponential decay function, Y=$8.15X^{-0.64}$.

  • A 3-D numerical simulation of a buried-channel CCD (Charge Coupled Device) with a deep depletion has been performed to investigate its electrical and physical behaviors. Results are presented for a deep depletion CCD (EEV CCD12; JET-X CCD) fabricated on a high-resistivity $(1.5k\Omega-cm)\;65{\mu}m$ thick epi-layer, on a $550{\mu}m$ thick p+ substrate, which is optimized for X-ray detection. Accurate predictions of the Potential minimum and barrier height of a CCD Pixel as a function of mobile electrons are found to give good charge transfer. The depletion depth approximation as a function of gate and substrate bias voltage provided average errors of less than 6%, compared with the results estimated from X-ray detection efficiency measurements. The result obtained from the transient simulation of signal charge movement is also presented based on 3-Dimensional analysis.

  • A new concept of multi-point dieless elasto-forming method has been developed to make various shape of curved surface without conventional dies. The developed dieless elasto-forming system consists of discrete punches controlled by servo motors and various kinds of elastomers(rubber and foam). To predict optimal position of punch elements, DTF(deformation transfer function) was introduced, and FEM analysis was carried out. The optimal arrangement of elastomer was selected considering characteristics of each elastomer, and a desired concave shape was formed. The experimental results were consistent with the numerical ones.

  • In the power-line communication systems, there are many factors of noise and attenuation in the power-line channels, because they were designed for not the communication but the power transmission. Also the transfer function of the channels is highly changed with the topology and the load of the power-lines. To cope with these poor channel situation, channel modeling, one of the many studies in progress, is being studied hard. Channel modeling is essential to apply the active schemes to overcome the bad channel(e.g. modulation technique, channel coding, signal coupling & filtering, etc.) to the power-line communications. In this paper, we have realized the statistical model(this model is suggested as the channel modeling method for the power-line channels) that is combined the transfer function with the various noises. And we have compared and examined the results with the measured data. Also we have studied the plan which can effectively establish the channel data base for the channel information consisted of the parameters that are derived from this modeling, and we have studied the plan to utilize the data base.

  • Spin-lattice relaxation pathway of $CH_2$ spin system by two dimensional NOESY sequence has been discussed. Two-dimensional spectra governed by dipolar relaxation mechanism were simulated in term of transfer mode, the generalization of conventionally used magnetization mode in one dimension. The transfer matrix directly related to the Redfield relaxation matrix can be constructed by the multiplet of transfer mode. The observable relaxation transfer modes causes to variation of the off-diagonal signal intensity of phase sensitive NOESY spectra from which variable spectral density can be extracted with simple group theoretical calculation. The variation of the J-coupling peak intensity as a function of the mixing time in 2-D spectra for $n-Undecane-5-^{13}C$ and Bromoacetic $2-^{13}C$ acid has been theoretically traced.
