  • In order to educate learners who cope with quickly to the information society of twenty-first century, it is required to develop ability to make a plan oneselves, solve the problem by collecting and examining information with various method. The purpose of this study is develop a constructive information searching model, present contents meet with learner's grade then help teacher and learner can search information that needed teaching and learning. In addition to it, this study enable learners to participate learning by self-directing, at the same time cope-learn throuth interaction with members, design of web-site that can be shared. exchanged new various information.

  • With the society rapidly changing, children are being asked respond quickly to these changes. Therefore, how children learn and think comes before what to teach, and we need to come up with ways to nurture their ability to proactively control their lives and studies. We attempt to use the technique of Accelerated learning, which focuses on the student's own ability toacquire and use information, to enhance the efficiency of information technology education. We designed the PLAY model based on accelerated learning and Multiple Intelligence Theory, and conducted ten experimental sessions on two groups of 70 second grade elementary school students.

Development of Multi-Disciplinary Learning Program for 21st Century Learning Skills (21세기 학습능력 신장을 위한 다학문적 교육 프로그램 개발)

  • In this study, we propose a learning method that can be extended to take advantage of the knowledge of the various disciplines in the project related to the subject to perform the process of restoring stork. The development program is grade 3.4 Group 4 class hours, grade 5.6 Group 4 class hours, total 8 class hours, and in each class hour, it was designed to be extended such creativity, problem solving skills, communication skills and ability to learn, based on knowledge and concepts of the elementary curriculum related to storks. Content validity was verified using a method consisting of 12 experts to verify the validity of the program. Feasibility evaluation of Lawshe (1975) content validity ratio for the analysis: we used (Content Validity Ratio CVR) calculation formula. As a result of a feasibility study in total 8 class hours, It was analyzed that match with the development effect except for program of grade 3.4 group 4 class hours. grade 3.4 group 4 class hours program was raised this issue for the academic linkage region, was fixed. Later, It is necessary to measure the degree of learning skills improves effectiveness by applying it to the elementary school students in the proposed research program.

  • In order to cultivate talented people with national economic influence in the rapidly changing 21st- century modern society, STEM(Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) education has been emphasized in advanced countries such as America and England. In South Korea, STEAM(Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics) education is emphasized by adding Arts. The objective of STEAM education is to strengthen the interest and motivation of learners, to focus on experience, exploration, experimentation, to solve convergent thinking and real-life problems, rather than cramming method of teaching and memorization. This study identifiesan instructional design for converged English, the world's official language, and science which is found in nearly all disciplines. With the development of the 4th industrial revolution based on the PBL model, learners participate in their lessons voluntarily for problem-solving skills. The instructional design based on the ADDIE model consists of 5 procedures: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The goal of fostering talented people with national economic influence is also important, and the teacher in education must recognize the importance of STEAM education and an appropriate instructional design should be studied constantly.

  • This research aimed to investigate the benefits of incorporating Problem-Based Learning(PBL) approach in Business English classes in a Korean university. This study focused on student experiences of learning in a PBL environment. The study examined the feasibility of cultivating students' key job competencies, that of their learning achievement and their satisfaction with the PBL approach. Data on student experiences were gathered from questionnaires. The analysis of the data showed, first, that the PBL could cultivate students' key job competencies. Second, the PBL could have a positive effect on students' acquisition of business content knowledge and their English language development. Third, the PBL approach achieved above moderate level of student satisfaction.

  • For engineers in the knowledge-based society of the 21st century, not only the specialty in their major field, but also the capabilities of creative thinking/reading/writing, of communication and of understanding society/business/economy, and the knowledge of specialized liberal arts, like ethics, are required. For the specialized liberal arts knowledge, it is important to have interest in a field, read the relevant literature, and summarize and express thoughts, but in reality, it is difficult to accomplish a higher level of learning outcome within the limited regular curriculum. In this study, an application for smart phones that purports to cultivate the specialized liberal arts knowledge of the students enrolled in the college of engineering was developed and applied to classes. Under this environment, a teacher can interact with teacher's students through the structured knowledge on a real-time basis in any place at any time, and the students can reorganize the knowledge by themselves. In this way, this paper proposed a way of improving the level of specialized liberal arts knowledge in daily life.

  • In the 21st century, university education is changing from an objective knowledge and information to critical thinking and problem-solving ability. Moreover, university education should change rapidly towards a learner-centered educational environment because it has an educational goal to have college students experience authentic tasks they will be in charge of after graduation, and improves self-directed learning ability and cooperative learning ability. PBL is a pedagogical strategy for posing significant, contextualized, real world situations, and providing resources, guidance, and instruction to learners as they develop content knowledge and problem-solving skills. In problem based learning, the students collaborate to study the issues of a problem as they strive to create viable solution. For these advantages of PBL, the application of PBL in school has been enlarged. On the other hand, the application of PBL in engineering education has not been enlarged. To improve these instruction methods, the development or applications of new instructional methods will be needed. This study examined the PBL instructional design of a creative engineering design subject, which aims to foster talent. The PBL model developed in this study consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. A plan of creative engineering design subject was developed based on PBL, and focused on the process of PBL. To determine the effects of this model, studies applying this instructional design to many lecturers should be implemented.

  • 21세기 지식정보사회에서는 창의력, 문제해결력 등의 고등인지사고능력이 요구된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 두리틀을 이용한 프로그래밍 수업을 통해 아동의 창의력과 문제해결력을 향상시키고자 한다. 아동의 프로그래밍 활동을 능동적으로 할 수 있는 환경을 조성하여 주되, 교사가 문제해결 과정에 따라 학습진행 과정을 모니터링하여 학생들의 문제해결 능력을 신장시켜주는 안내된 발견식 수업 모형을 적용하였다. 컴퓨터 프로그래밍의 과정에 필요한 인지적 요구사항을 토론이나 소크라테스식 질문을 통하여 반드시 거치도록 안내하였다. 초등학교 5학년 학생을 대상으로 두리틀을 이용하여 안내된 발견식 수업모형을 적용 한 결과 창의성과 문제해결력 측면에서 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • The importance of the convergence education is getting more and more emphasized. But the university convergence education has not yet met today's needs. So this study is focused on showing effective practice methods and finding development directions of the university convergence criticism education. One of a significant trend of the contemporary academic education of liberal arts is the tendency of the convergent and integrative studies. What is essential in the convergent and integrative studies creativity. The zeitgeist of knowledge-based society is change and innovation. In response to its request, college education is being asked to do convergence education, And general education as the basis of convergence education is strengthened.

  • The ability to need information-oriented society is the convergence ability based in information ability. A new curriculum is demanded by new technology and circumstance to need the core ability. Korea Association of Information Education have studied a new curriculum and suggest a new plan that content of information education classified by 'computer system', 'SW production' and 'convergence activities'. Therefore, we studied on convergence activities of K-9. In this paper we firstly suggested concept of convergence ability as activities to use ICT, information communication ethics and robot. We nextly suggested object to achieve, teaching-learning methods and evaluation methods of convergence activities. We expect the curriculum we suggested about convergence activities will contribute to training talented individuals.
