혼합실 구조 변경에 의한 2상 노즐의 미립화 특성 (Atomization Characteristics of 2-Phase Atomizer with the change of Mixing Chamber Structure)

  • The purpose of this study is to present the atomization characteristics of 2-phase internal mixing nozzle. The obtained results are considered as the essential information of understanding the spray characteristics from the nozzle exit of an aerated nozzle. In this study, SMD and AMD are mainly measured at the distance of Z=10, 20, 50, 80, 120 and 170mm from the nozzle tip. The liquid flow rate was kept at 1.8g/s and the air feeding pressure was changed from 10kpa to 100kpa increasingly. The analysis of the acquired data was performed by 2-D PDPA system and in order to get the realibility, the number of data used in calculating the SMD & AMD were 10,000 samples.

상향 원형노즐 제트에 의한 하향 등온 원형평면에서의 열전달 현상에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Phenomenon of Heat Transfer on a Downward Isothermal Circular Surface by an Impinging of Upward Circular Nozzle Jet)

  • While many studies on the heat transfer effect of an impinging jet have been published, most studies focus on the downward impinging jet. This study investigates the impinging jet heat transfer phenomenon when water at a temperature of $24^{\circ}C$ impinges on the downward isothermal circular plate at 60, 70, and $80^{\circ}C$ and when the upward round jet nozzle is 4, 6, and 8 mm diameter with a flow rate 3.6, 4.6, and 5.6 L/min, respectively, and when the ratio of the nozzle clearance/nozzle diameter (H/D) is 1. The results showed that, as the nozzle diameter decreases, the heat transfer coefficient increases at a constant flow rate. The correlation equation of $Nu_r$, $Pr_r$, and $Re_{jg}$ is obtained in the impinging and constant velocity flow region $(Nu_r/Pr^{0.4}_r)Dr=4.6[Re_{jg}(r/R_c)Dr]^{0.8}$ at all flow rates, in the deceleration and falling flow regions $(Nu_r/Pr^{0.4}_r)Dr=42.7{\mid}Re_{jg}(r/R_c)Dr-345.7{\mid}^{0.3}$ at 3.6 L/min, $(Nu_r/Pr^{0.4}_r)Dr=92.4{\mid}Re_{jg}(r/R_c)Dr-16.8{\mid}^{0.2}$ at 4.6 L/min, and $(Nu_r/Pr^{0.4}_r)Dr=322.4{\mid}Re_{jg}(r/R_c)Dr-536.2{\mid}^{0.01}$ at 5.6 L/min.

공기유입을 고려한 2유체 분무의 구조에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Structure of Air-assist Spray with Air Entrainment)

  • The effect of air entrainment in twin-fluid spray structure is investigated experimentally by varing the amount of itemizing air. The air entrainment is expected to affect on droplet size and velocity, droplet number density, turbulent kinetic energy and vorticity. PDA(Phase Doppler Anemometer) and PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) system are used to measure those important factors in analyzing spray structure. The results show that spray structure consists of three distinctive regions ; the atomizing region near nozzle, characterizing strong convective effect, the central core region where droplets are accelerated, and the spray sheath region where droplets are decelerated due to air entrainment. The local air entrainment rate is largest near nozzle, characterizing strong turbulent kinetic energy and vorticity but deceases along axial distance.

다구찌 방법을 이용한 시로코 홴의 최적설계에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Optimum Design of Sirocco Fan by Using Taguchi Method)

  • This paper is studied to find the optimum condition of double-inlet Sirocco fan installed in an indoor PAC for low noise operation by the Taguchi method. The goal of this study is to obtain the best combination of each control factor which results in a desired flowrate of Sirocco fan with minimum variability. In this study, the parameter design of the Taguchi method is adopted for robust design by the dynamic characteristic analysis using orthogonal arrays and S/N ratios. The flowrate measurements are conducted by using a multiple-nozzle-type fan tester according to the orthogonal array L9($3^4$). The results of this study can be summarized as follows ; (i) The optimum condition of control factor is a set of where A is an inner to outer diameter ratio($D_1/D_2$), B is a width to outer diameter ratio($L/D_2$), C is a blade attachment angle(${\theta}$) and D is a number of blade(Z), (ii) The flowrate under the optimum condition satisfies the equation $y=0.0384{\cdot}M$ where M is a signal factor, namely number of revolution. The flowrate performance improves about 7.3% more largely as compared with the current condition, which results in about 35RPM reduction of number of revolution for the target flowrate $18.5m^3/min$, and (iii) The sensitivity analysis shows that the major factors in contribution to flowrate performance are A, B, and D ; the percentage contributions of each control factor are 44.01%(Z), 26.77%($D_1/D_2$) and 20.42%($L/D_2$).

축소 확대 노즐의 열전달 해석을 위한 열전달 계수 계산 및 검증 (Comparative Evaluation on the Deriving Method of the Heat Transfer Coefficient of the C-D Nozzle)

  • 일반적인 축소 확대형 초음속 노즐에 대한 열해석에서 경계조건으로 사용되는 벽면의 열전달 계수는 노즐 전체의 열해석 정확도에 영향을 미친다. 이에 많은 열전달계수 도출 방법이 제안되어 왔으며, 본 연구에서는 각각의 기법들을 실제 실험 조건에서 열전달 계수를 계산하고 비교하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 기 수행된 벽면 등온 노즐의 열전달실험에 대해 이론 기반의 analogy 기법과 반경험식, 유체전산해석을 통해 열전달 계수를 도출하고 실험결과와 비교하였다. 해석 결과는 반경험식들은 전반적으로 다른 방법에 비해 대류 열전달 계수를 과도하게 예측하고, Prandtl-Taylor analogy 기법과 k-ω SST 모델을 적용한 전산해석 결과가 실험결과와 비교적 잘 일치하는 경향성을 보였다.

로켓 추진기관용 C/SiC 내열부품 개발 (Development of C/SiC Composite Parts for Rocket Propulsion)

  • 고체 및 액체 로켓 추진 기관 내열부품으로 사용하기 위하여 C/SiC 복합 재료를 LSI(Liquid Silicon Infiltration) 공법으로 개발하였다. 조성비에 따른 내열 특성은 아크 플라즈마, 초음속 토치 시험으로 평가하였으며 $H_2O$$CO_2$ 산화에 의한 유효 삭마식을 제시하였다. 연소시험을 통하여 고체 및 액체 추진기관용 노즐목 삽입재, 확대부 내열재 및 연소실 내열부품 등 다양한 형상으로 제작이 가능함을 확인하였으며 높은 내삭마 성능과 열구조 성능이 입증되었다.

C-D 노즐을 고려한 초음속 제트 소음 해석 (An Analysis of Supersonic Jet Noise with a Converging-Diverging Nozzle)

  • To investigate the generation mechanism of the shock-associated noise, an underexpanded supersonic jet from an axisymmetic nozzle is simulated under the conditions of the Nozzle exit Mach number of 2 and the exit pressure ratio of Pe/Pe =1.5. The present simulation is performed based on the high-order accuracy and high-resolution ENO (Essentially Non-Oscillatory) scheme to capture the time-dependent flow structure representing the sound source. It was found that the shock-associated noise is generated by the weak interaction between the downstream propagating large turbulence structures of the jet flow and the quasi-periodic shock cell structure during the one is passing through the other. The directivity of propagating waves to the upstream is clearly shown in the visualization of pressure field. It is shown that the present calculation of the centerline pressure distribution is in fare agreement with the experimental data at the location of first shock cell.

단이 진 경사벽면에 부착되는 2차원 제트유동에 관한 연구 (An investigation on flow characteristics of two dimensional inclined wall attaching offset jet)

  • An experimental study on the flow characteristics was performed for a two-dimensional turbulent wall attaching offset jet at different oblique angles to a surface. The flow characteristics were investigated by using a split film probe with the modified Stock's calibration method. The jet mean velocity, turbulent intensity, wall static pressure coefficient profiles, and time-averaged reattachment point were measured at the Reynolds number Re (based on the nozzle width, D) ranging from 17700 to 53200, the offset ratio H/D from 2.5 to 10, and the inclined angle .alpha. from 0.deg. C to 40.deg. C. The Correlations between the maximum pressure position, minimum pressure position, and reattachment point and offset ratios, and inclined angles are presented.

PbO량에 따른 저온소결 PMN-PNN-PZT 세라믹스의 유전 및 압전특성 (Piezoelectric and Dielectric Characteristics of Low Temperature Sintering PMN-PNN-PZT Ceramics According to the amount of PbO)

  • In this study, in order to develop multilayer ceramics vibrator for ultrasonic nozzle, PMN-PNN-PZT ceramics were fabricated using $Li_{2}CO_{3}-Na_{2}_CO_{3}$ as sintering aids and their piezoelectric and dielectric characteristics were investigated according to the amount of PbO. With increasing PbO contents, secondary phases were increased and phase structure was changed from tetragonal structure to rhombohedral structure and also electromechanical coupling factor was linearly decreased. At the composition ceramics with the sintering temperature of $870^{\circ}C$ and 1 mol% excess PbO, density, electromechanical coupling factor, dielectric constant, piezoelectric d constant and mechanical quality factor showed the optimum value of $7.879\;g/cm^{3}$, 0.55, 1149, 328 pC/N, 1224, respectively for multilayer ceramics vibrator application for ultrasonic nozzle.

슬러지 제거용 고압분사 노즐특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Spray Characteristics for Sludge Removal Nozzle with High Pressure)

  • Water jet trajectories and velocity deficits from a high pressurize nozzles were experimentally observed. In this article, several parameters affecting plugging and erosion onto the steam generator tube were quantitatively analyzed. Visualization, velocity distribution, and spray growth rate with different nozzle configurations have been mainly focused using a 2-D PDPA (Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer) system. The results indicated that trajectories along the centerline regardless of their momentum has its potential core region. However, the phenomena from the peripheral part need to be meticulosly considered. Accordingly, it is evident that quantitative velocity deficits at the outer region are outstanding due to the aerodynamical drag and entrainment.
