Recently, a number of problems due to the CO2 emissions are occurred. Therefore, it is a movement to restrict this activity. The research is being carried out steadily for recycling waste concrete from the cement paste based fine powder, which accounts for over 60% of construction waste as a recycled cement. In this study, the conclusion was obtained as a result of the research conducted, and then, replacing the main material of cement concrete to solve the above problem by reducing the amount of cement used Waste Concrete Powder. The more concrete results page replacement ratio of fine powder increases, the flow value of the concrete is lowered, the strength was remarkably reduced when the page Concrete Powder.

A laboratory study was conducted to investigate the immobilization of the laboratory waste sludge, mainly from chemical oxygen demand (COD) waste, using cementitious binders. The binders were: Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), and lime-Rice Husk Ash(RHA) cement. The economic evaluation was done for three different kinds of cementitious binders, namely, OPC, Portalnd Rice Husk Ash Cement (PRHAC) which contained rice husk ash 50 percent by dry weight, and lime-RHA cement. The result showed that lime-RHA cement was the cheapest. The applicability of Freundlich's desorption isotherm was studied to assess the teachability of sludges. The teachability of cement mortars was found to follow the desorption isotherms. Therefore, it was concluded that based on this test, the leachate concentrations of the solidified heavy metals could be predicted, approximately by the Freundlich's isotherm desorption modeling.

As global warming becomes serious, research is continuously being conducted to reduce CO2 emissions. Among building materials, the carbon emission of cement is so high that it accounts for 6.8% of the carbon emission of the entire industry. Studies replacement of cement with blast furnace slag and fly ash are steadily increasing. In addition, efforts are being made to reduce air pollution due to increased damage caused by increased concentrations of harmful substances such as fine dust and heavy metals in the air. There is an increasing number of studies that enable adsorption by mixing adsorbents into building materials. This study reviewed the strength properties to make an adsorbable non-cement finishing material by mixing tourmaline, an adsorbent, based on the non-cement composite, and confirmed that the strength decreases as the replacement ratio increases.

Optimization of concrete mixing system is very important for the production of quality mixture of concrete and requires very complicated, specialized knowledge as there are a variety of variables that influence the result. One of the methods of optimizing the concrete mixing system is to minimize the volume of cement paste which, in turn, means maximizing the volume of aggregate. The purpose of this study is to determine the minimum volume of cement paste used in the design of concrete mixture and to design the optimum concrete mixing system based on the fluidity of mortar and concrete. In determining the minimum volume of cement paste, experiments of mortar and concrete were performed based on their workability, material segregation and bleeding. Type of aggregate, granularity distribution and sand percentage were used as test parameters and measurements were taken of the distribution of granularity, usage of HRWRA, minimum volume of paste and drying shrinkage and compressive strength of concrete.
The effects of pre-treatments, the hot water extraction of wood meal and the addition of chemical ($CaCl_2$) to wood-cement water system on the properties of wood-cement composite such as modulus of rupture (MOR), modulus of elasticity (MOE), water sorption ratio and swelling ratio of resulting boards were studied in this experiment. The wood meals through 0.83mm(20 mesh) and retained on 0.42mm(35 mesh) screen were prepared from Pinus densiflora S. at Z. and Larix leptolepsis G. For hot water extraction, 500 grams of wood meal for each species were heated to boiling with 1,500ml of distilled water in 2-liter beaker for 6 hours. Every 2 hours, the wood meals were washed with boiling distil1ed water and reheated to boiling again. After 6 hours boiling, the boiled wood particles were collected by pouring this particles on 200 mesh screen. The collected particles then washed twice with hot distilled water and dried for 24 hours in an oven at $109{\pm}20^{\circ}C$. A mixture of 663.4 grams of cement with 331.7 grams of wood meal based on oven-dry weight were dry-mixed in a plastic vessel. The mixture was kneaded with 497.6ml of distilled water in the ratio of 1.5ml of water to a gram of wood meal. To add calcium chloride to the mixture as an accelerator, $CaCl_2$ 4% solution by weight per volume, was added to pine-or larch-cement board in the ratio of 3% to cement weight. To set wood-cement board, this mixture was clamped at 30cm ${\times}$ 30cm, in thickness of 1.5cm for 3 days at room temperature, declamped and then placed at open condition for 17 days. The target density was 1.0. The four specimens sized to 5cm in width and 28cm in length were used for MOR and MOE test for each treatment. After MOR test, the tested specimens were cut to the size of 5cm ${\times}$ 5cm for water sorption and swelling test. The twenty specimens used to measure the water sorption ratio (soaking 24 hours) and ten of these were used for swelling ratio measurement The results obtained were as follows: 1) Larch was not suitable for wood-cement boards because larch-cement board developed no strength, but pine showed 97.9kg/$cm^2$ by hot water extraction. 2) To increase MOR, hot water extraction was more effective than the addition of $CaCl_2$ in pine and larch because the $CaCl_2$ addition was seemed to speed up the ratio of cement hydration without reacting with the wood substances. 3) The water sorption ratio was lowered by the addition of $CaCl_2$ to wood-cement system because the chemical additive accelerated the rate of cement hydration. 4) In pine-cement board, the swelling ratio from 0.37 to 0.42 percent was observed in length and the swelling ratio from 0.88 to 2.0 percent in thickness. As a rule, the swelling ratio of wood-cement board was very low and the swelling ratio in thickness was higher than in length.

Recently, there have been many studies about recycling cementitious powder from concrete waste(hereinafter referred to as waste powder), generated after recycle aggregate production. Previous studies showed that when the heating process of waste powder at $700^{\circ}C,\;Ca(OH)_2$ in paste is dehydrated making possible the restoration of hydraulic properties. Recycled cement with hydraulic properties restored is thought to be re-hydrated through the mechanism of hydration, which is almost similar in Portland cement. This clearly suggests that the hydrate of recycled cement is alkali in type. Like in general concrete, if recycled cement is used as a structural material, resistance performance against carbonation or neutralization by $CaCO_3$ in air probably would be most influential to the life of steel-reinforced concrete structure. Thus the purpose of this study is to make an experimental review on chemical properties of recycled cement, manufactured with concrete waste as base material, and investigate the durability of concrete using recycled cement through evaluating the cement s performance of resistance to carbonation in accordance with its accelerating age. Based on its results, further, the study seeks to provide basic information about ways of utilizing recycled cement.

In the era of building engineering the intensification of Self Compacting Concrete (SCC) is world-shattering magnetism. It has lot of rewards over ordinary concrete i.e., enrichment in production, cutback in manpower, brilliant retort to load and vibration along with improved durability. In the present study, the mechanical strength of CM-2 (SCC containing 10% of rice husk ash (RHA) as cement replacement and 600 grams of glass fibers per cubic meter) was investigated at various dosages of cement replacement by fly ash (FA) and GGBS. A total of 17 SCC mixtures including two control SCC mixtures (CM-1 and CM-2) were developed for investigating fresh and hardened properties in which, ten ternary cementitious blends of SCC by blending OPC+RHA+FA, OPC+RHA+GGBS and five quaternary cementitious blends (OPC+RHA+FA+GGBS) at different replacement dosages of FA and GGBS were developed with reference to CM-2. For constant water-cement ratio (0.42) and dosage of SP (2.5%), the addition of glass fibers (600 grams/m3) in CM-1 i.e., CM-2 shows lower workability but higher mechanical strength. While fly ash based ternary blends (OPC+RHA+FA) show better workability but lower mechanical strength as FA content increases in comparison to GGBS based ternary blends (OPC+RHA+GGBS) on increasing GGBS content. The pattern for mixtures appeared to exhibit higher workablity as that of the concentration of FA+GGBS rises in quaternary blends (OPC+RHA+FA+GGBS). A decrease in compressive strength at 7-days was noticed with an increase in the percentage of FA and GGBS as cement replacement in ternary and quaternary blended mixtures with respect to CM-2. The highest 28-days compressive strength (41.92 MPa) was observed for mix QM-3 and the lowest (33.18 MPa) for mix QM-5.
Hydroxyethyl cellulose -based-viscosity modifying admixture and melamine-basd-superplasticizer were selected to be admixtures for self-compacting concrete based on the test results of fluidity and air content of mortar using 3 different viscosity modifying admixtures. The experimental results show that the initial and final set of self-compacting concrete and fly ash concrete with viscosity modifying admixture only have been delayed approximately 5 hours and 8~9 hours, respectively. It is found that the optimum dosage of viscosity modifying admixtures, coarse aggregate and cement content are 0.2% of water content, under 742 kg/$\textrm{m}^3$ and over 364 kg/$\textrm{m}^3$, respectively. Test results also show that the optimum fly ash in replacement of cement is 10% of cement weight for the enhancement of fluidity and long-term strength.
Increasing emphasis on energy conservation and environmental protection has led to the investigation of the alternatives to customary building materials. Some of the significant goals behind understaking such investigations are to reduce the greenhouse gasemissions and minimize the energy required formaterial production. The usage of concrete around the world is second only to water. Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) is conventionally used as the primary binder to produce concrete. The cement production is a significant industrial activity in terms of its volume and contribution to greenhouse gas emission. Globally, the production of cement contributes at least 5 to 7 % of $CO_2$. Another major problem of the environment is to dispose off the fly ash, a hazardous waste material, which is produced by thermal power plant by combustion of coal in power generation processes. The geopolymer concrete aims at utilizing the maximum amount of fly ash and reduce $CO_2$ emission in atmosphere by avoiding use of cement to making concrete. This paper reports an experimental work conducted to investigate the effect of curing conditions on the compressive strength of geopolymer concrete prepared by using fly ash as base material and combination of sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate as alkaline activator.
