Design of Multivariable 2-DOF PID for Electrical Power of Flow System by Neural Network Tuning Method (신경망 튜우닝에 의한 유량계통 동력 제어용 다변수 2-자유도 PID의 제어기 설계)

  • The fluid system such as, the quantity control of raw water, chemicals control in the purification, the waste water system as well as in the feed water or circulation system of the power plant and the ventilation system is controlled with the valve and moter pump. The system's performance and the energy saving of the fluid systems depend on control of method and delicacy. Until, PI controller use in these system but it cannot control delicately because of the coupling in the system loop. In this paper we configure a single flow system to the multi variable system and suggest the application of 2-DOF PID controller and the tuning methods by the neural network to the electrical power of the flow control system. the 2-DOF controller follows to a setpoint has a robustness against the disturbance in the results of simulation.   • This paper describes a design of an induction motor control system using a 2 degree-of-freedom PI controller to compensate the effects of disturbance without degrading tracking performance. On the basis of vector control principle, the control system is simulated by using the ACSL and implemented on a DSP system(TMS320C31). In designing the 2 DOF controller, we can tune the performance of either the tracking or disturbance rejection independently without affecting the other. With the experimental results, the 2 DOF controller has shown a better performance in command tracking and disturbance rejection than a conventional PI controller.

  • The accuracy of the servo control in CNC system has a great influence on the duality of machine product. Tracking performance of the servo control is deteriorated mainly by the time delay of the servo system and the inertia of the work table or bed. Contouring errors occur in every interpolation steps by the effect of the tracking performance. In this paper, $H_{\infty}$ two-degree-of-freedom(TDF) controller is designed for improvement to improve the tracking performance. The designed controller is applied 3-axis machining center model and the cutting accuracy is simulated in case of corner cutting, circular and involute interpolation. Simulation results show that $H_{\infty}$ TDF controller designed in this paper has a good effect to improve tracking performance in CNC system.

  • In this paper, we present a design of optimal 2-DOF PID controller for control of gantry crane which has to control swing motion and trolley position. For tuning the parameter of 2-DOF PID controller, we used evolution strategy(ES). During operate the crane system in yard, the goal is transporting the load to a goal position as quick as possible without rope oscillation. The crane is generally operated by an expert operator, but recently an automatic control system with high speed and rapid transportation is required. However, we developed an optimal controller which has to control the crane system with disturbance.

  • In this paper, Wiener-Hopf design of the two-degree-of-freedom(2DOF) controller configuration is treated for the standard plant model. It is shown that the 2DOF structure makes it possible to treat the design of feedback properties and reference tracking problem separately. Wiener-Hopf factorization technique is used to obtain the optimal controller which minimizes a given quadratic cost index. The class of all stabilizing controllers that yield finite cost index is also characterized. An illustrative example is given for the step reference tracking problem which can not be treated by the conventional H2 controller formula.

  • The aim of this paper is to design a two degree-of-freedom H$_{\infty}$ controller for lateral control of the vehicle. The object of this controller is to track the centerline of the reference lane. The controller is splited into two parts, feedback and prefilter. The feedback part is for both robust stability and disturbance attenuation, while the prefilter is for improving the robust tracking properties of closed loop system.   • The mega frame system is becoming popular for the design and construction of skyscrapers because this system exhibits structural efficiency by allowing high rigidity of the structure while minimizing the amount of structural materials to be used. Since the mega frame system is usually adopted for super high-rise buildings, the comfort of occupants may be main concerns in the practical application of this system. For the enhancement of the serviceability of mega frame structures, a semi-active tuned mass damper (STMD) is developed in this study. To this end, a Magnetorheological (MR) damper is employed replacing passive damper as a semi-active damper to improve the control effect of a conventional TMD. Since a conventional finite element model of mega frame structures has significant numbers of DOFs, numerical simulation for investigation of control performances of a STMD is impossible by using the full-order model. Therefore, a reduced-order system using minimal DOFs, which can accurately represent the dynamic behavior of a mega frame structure, is proposed in this study through the matrix condensation technique To improve the efficiency of the matrix condensation technique, multi-level matrix condensation technique is proposed using the structural characteristics of mega frame structures. The efficiency and accuracy of the reduced-order control proposed in this study and the control performance of a STMD were verified using example structures.

  • 2DOF is applied to induction moor in order to supply these weak points of PI speed control method in this paper. and proposed method utilize the combination of the voltage model based on stator equivalent model and the current model based on rotor equivalent model, which enables stable estimation of rotor flux. And it also emphasizes the improvement of the control characteristics in low speed region where established schemes have many problems. To prove the propriety of this paper, the various simulations carried out adequacy and stability using Matlab, and at the same time real system is made, so it is proved. As the results of embodying the system, the robust system is realized.

  • In the distributed control systems where the control components, controllers and sensors are distributed on a communications network, there exit network time delays on communication lines between the system components. This paper deals with the 2 D.O.F. ramp tracking controller design issue for such system. Time delay terms are converted into rational terms using Pade approximation method and the system is augmented with two integrators for ramp tracking. For this system, $\mu$-controller design method, which enables to meet not only performance requirements but robust stabilities simultaneously, is employed.
