Three stoloniferan species in two genera and two families are newly recorded from Korea: Cornularia komaii, Clavularia racemosa and Clavularia mikado. The specimens were collected from 14 locations in Korea from 1978 to 1994.

The purpose of this study is to analyze which group led the process of agenda setting of teacher's certification system in China from 1978 to 2018 using the Cobb & Elder's theoretical model. The period of about 40 years from 1978 to 2018 is divided into the introduction period of teacher's certification period (1978~1992), transition period (1993~1998), and stabilization stage (1999~2018). The agenda setting process was analyzed. As a result, the group that led the process of agenda setting of the Chinese teacher's certification system varied according to the period. The introduction period of teacher's certification system was analyzed as 'Inside Access Model' led by policy makers and government, and the transition period was confirmed as 'Mobilization Model' led by Chinese government and Ministry of Education. The stabilization period was analyzed as 'Outside Initiative Model' led by various groups such as mass media, researchers, and government. It was found that the process of agenda setting of teacher's certification system had been changing toward democratization according to the degree of development of Chinese society, and the quality control of teacher certifications had been strengthened.

이 연구의 목적은 중국의 도시화율을 재구성하고 그것을 바탕으로 과잉/과소 도시화 논쟁을 재점검하는 것이다. 연구는 과거에 발표된 도시화율에 비하여 2000년 센서스 보고서에 발표된 36.01%의 도시화율이 신뢰할만한 수치인가하는 질문에서 출발한다. 여기에 대한 답은 부정적이다. 따라서 이 연구는 유엔의 도시/농촌 인구성장 예측기법을 사용하여, 도시화율에 관한 두 세트의 시계열 자료를 재구성한다, 이 연구는 그 중 하나인 1982~2000년 자료를 바탕으로 과잉/과소 도시화 문제의 성격을 해명한다. 이 연구는 1인당 국민소득과 도시화의 관계를 해명하기 위한 두 종류의 회귀모형을 개발한다. 세계은행의 자료를 바탕으로 전세계의 경제발전과 도시화 수준에 관계에 관한 회귀방정식을 추정하고, 선형방정식보다 로그방정식이 예측력이 높음을 확인한다. 로그방정식의 추정결과에 따르면, 중국은 1978년 개혁${\cdot}$개방정책 이전에는 과잉 도시화되었고, 최근에 들어 오히려 도시화의 지체로 인한 과소 도시화의 문제가 통계적으로 유의미한 현상이 되고 있다. 분석의 결과는 중국이 1978년 시장경제를 도입한지 15년이 지난 이후에야 도시화 지체현상이 나타나고 있음에 주목하면서, 중국의 각종 도시정책이 도시발전에 강력한 장애물로 규제력을 행사하였음을 강조한다.

In order to investigate the causes of epidemic out break of rice blast disease in 1978, investigations were undertaken in respect of climatic conditions, variety, cultural practice and plant pathology. During 1978, especially in August at heading time, it was higher temperature and humidity, higher frequency and amount of rainfall, lower amount of sunshine and solar radiation than less blast infested years. Nitrogen content in rice plant was higher than previous years. Acreage increase of semi-dwarf varieties brought about a result of proportional increase of new blast races which are able to infect the semi-dwarf varieties. It was concluded that those conditions mentioned above might have caused the result of severe neck blast disease in rice varieties in Korea, 1978.

Effects of thermal effluents on the marine algal communities were investigated with the quadrat method during June, 1977-December, 1978, at the intertidal zone of Kori Nuclear Power Plant, Southeast Coast of Korea. As a result, both the number of algal species occurred in quadrat (50$\times$50cm) and the total coverage were observed to be decreased in June, 1978, at three sites near the discharge point compared with those of previous year but being recovered afterwards. The representative dominant species at the coast of Kori Nuclear Power Plant were, on the whole, Corallina pilulifera, Pachymeniopsis elliptica, and Chondrus ocellatus. Among the species, the coverage of Corallina pilulifera appeared to be rather increased, while the vegetation of Chondria crassicaulis was found to be decreased particularly in 1978. Total 102 species (3 blue-green, 16 green, 30 brown, and 53 red algae) of marine algae were identified in this study. Among them 71 species were common to 133 species reported by previous investigators during 1969-1970.

스웨덴 주립과학원은 1978년도 노벨 물리, 화학상의 수상자를 지난 10월 ·17일 발표한 바 있다. 물리학상에는 소련의 피요트르 레오니드비치 카피챠 교수와 미국 벨 전화연구소의 아르노 A.펜지아스 박사, 로버트 W. 윌슨박사 3인이 공동으로 받았으며 상금 725,000Kronor(약8,250만원)로 카피챠교수에게 절반을, 나머지는 2등분하여 펜지아스와 윌슨박사가 받게 된다. 카피ciry수는 저온물리학의 기초연구로 펜지아스와 윌슨박사는 우주 마이크로파의 배경방사선 발견의 업적으로 수상하게 된 것이다. 한편 주립 과학원은 영미 그린 연구소의 연구부장인 피터 미첼 박사에게 화학상을 결정 했으며 미첼 박사의 업적은 생체에너지 전달의 메카니즘을 설명하는 화학 침투 이론 정립이었다고 밝혔다. 미첼박사는 생체에너지학(bioenergerics)인 생화학분야 생물세포에의 에너지 전달연구의 제 1인자이다. 상금은 725,000크로나이다.
