Three disastrous floods experienced over the tidal reaches of the Han River are investigated numerically with the use of one-dimensional finite-difference tidal flow model. The hindcast scheme involves processing flood hydrograph at Indogyo to provide the necessary discharge variation at upstream boundary and predicting tidal elevations at downstream boundary that computes the response in terms of flood levels and discharges within the tidal reaches. Computed results of 1925, 1972 and 1984 floods are presented and discussed.

최근 "UN 해양법 협약"의 발표와 200해리 배타적 경제수역(EEZ)이 선포되면서 우리나라 원양어업은 물론 연근해 어업마저 붕괴될 위기에 처해 있다. 따라서, 해양수산부는 한.중.일 어업협정으로 인해 축소된 연근해 어장의 생산력 향상과 자원조성을 위하여 인공어초 시설사업을 지속적으로 추진하고 있으며, 앞으로 2011년도 까지 시설면적 총 203,000ha의 인공어초 시설어장을 조성할 계획이다. 한편 제주도에서도 1972년도부터 시작된 연안어장의 자원조성을 위한 인공어초 시설사업은 1998년도 까지 총17,836ha의 인공어초 시설어장이 조성되었다. 프랑스는 Georges Pompidou 대통령시절인 1972년, 식민지의 독립화 및 근대화로 전환되는 과정에서 De Gaulle장군의 국방원칙을 수용한 최초의 국방백서를 발간했으며, 22년만인 1994년에 베를린장벽의 붕괴 및 Warsaw Pact의 해체에 따른 유럽내의 급격한 변화, 국제환경여건, 과학기술 발전 및 현대경제에 부합되는 새로운 국방백서를 발간하였다. 이번에 발간한 국방백서는 총 3부로 1부는 , 2부는 , 3부는 로 되어있다. 여기에 소개하는 방위산업 분야는 3부 7장의 를 번역정리한 것으로 관계 분야 종사자들에게 조금이나마 도움이 되기를 바란다.

1972년 프랑스의 Aerospatiale사와 독일의 MBB사의 합작투자회사로 설립된 Euromissile사는 원래 양 회사의 주요과 제인 Hot, Milan, Roland 사업을 관리하기 위한 목적으로 15년 동안 유지될 계획이이었다. 그러나 현재 Euromissile사의 설립은 성공적으로 평가되고 있으며, 양회사는 지난 1987년에 또다시 15년간의 Euromissile사 유지계약에 합의하였다. Euromissile사에 부여된 주요업무는 합작과제의 관리기능과 마케팅 활동이며, 나머지 연구개발 업무나 생산은 모회사에서 수행된다.

1935년 미국에서 레이더에 관한 연구 결과로 처음으로 등장한 전파식별(RFID : Radio Frequency IDentification) 기술은 접근하는 비행물체의 피아식별을 위하여 사용되었다. 1960대 후반에 들어와서 핵과 같은 위험 물질을 감시하기 위하여 전파식별에 대한 연구가 미국에서 이에 대한 연구가 본격적으로 시작되었다. 그로부터 얼마후인 1972년 Schlage Electronics(현재 Westinghouse)사에서 군용 섬유유리 에폭시카드에 삽입되는 전파식별 카드가 개발되었다. 군사목적 위주로 진행되던 전파식별 관련 기술개발은 1977년에 이르러 Los Alamos Scientific 연구소에 의해 공공부분으로 확대되기 시작했다.(중략)

Hardened seed oysters which inhabit the Hansan Bay of Korea and Hiroshima Bay of Japan were cultured at the oyster farm of Nino island near Hiroshima from June, 1972. to June, 1973. The present experiment investigated monthly increment of shell height, shell length, meat weight, moisture, fatness and gonad development of the seed oysters. Environmental factors were also checked to know ecology of the oysters. The oyster farm of Nino island near Hiroshima city showed high water temperautre and low salinity com-paring with the oyster farm of Hansan Bay. Korea. Shell height and shell ten求h of the hardened seed oyster of Hansan Bay grew faster than those of Hiroshima Bay, especially in oyster meat weight. Histological observation on gonads showed little difference in developmental process between the two localities from June through December, 1972, whereas the hardened seed oyster from Hansan Bay has grown rapidly in the development of gonad after February, 1973. It can be concluded that in the viewpoint of seed oysters productivity the hardened seed oyster from Hansan Bay is more effective than that of Hiroshima Bay comparing in seed growth, fatness and developmental process of gonad.

The authors identified 833 Salmonella cultures collected from various parts of the country in 1972. The procedures for the morphological and biochemical tests and for the serological determinations were performed by means of the conventional screening methods recommended by the National Center for Disease Control in U.S.A. The results of the laboratory tests were summerized as follows: 1. Of 833 Salmonella cultures, 1 S. paratyphi A, 1 S. nitra, 1 S. kiel, 1 S. abortusequi, 6 S. paratyphi B, 5 S. abony, 4 S. caledon, 13 S. typhimurium, 2 S. coeln, 1 S. oranienburg, 1 S. thompson, 1 S. bonn, 1 S. gabon, 1 S. colorado, 1 S. richmond, 2 S. berta, 20 S. enteritidis, 1 S. regent, 1 S. london were identified besides 769 cultures of S. typhi. 2. The antibiotics sensitivity tests by means of Ericsson's disc method using seven kinds of antibiotics were carried out, i.e. chloramphenicol, ampicillin, which were widely in common use in the country and the results were compared with that of Salmonella cultures isolated in 1971 as shown in table 4.

The first packaging of Korean market milk dates back to July 1937 when Seoul Dairy Co-operative (Kyung Seong Dairy Co-operative in those days) used 1 hob (180 ml) glass bottles with either paper caps or cork caps. During 1945-1972, 2 hob (360 ml) glass bottles were produced, and iron caps and egret-shaped plastic film replaced the previously used caps. When there were insufficient numbers of milk bottles, other glass bottles such as soda drink bottles and beer bottles were used instead. Seoul Dairy Co-operative was the only dairy company existing in Korea until Nam Yang Dairy Co. Ltd was founded in March 1964, followed by Hae Tae Dairy Co. Ltd(Tae Han Food Public Corporation in those days) in 1969 and Mae-il Dairy Co. Ltd (Korea Dairy Company in those days) in May 1971. As many other dairy companies along with the above-mentioned companies were established, a variety of dairy products were packaged and marketed. In 1971 Seoul Dairy Co-operative first used triangular-shaped polyethylene film wrappers, and in 1972 Nam Yang Diary was the first company importing sterilized Tetra pak for the packaging of milk. Since 1974 rectangular shaped polyethylene film wrappers and plastic bottles were used. In 1977 the gable top carton pack made of paper was first introduced by Seo Joo Industry Co. Ltd, and its market share increased rapidly with gradual increase in its volume, from 180ml to 200ml, to 250ml, to 500ml and finally to 1,000ml, causing change in the volume of milk consumption. And in Sep. 1987 Pasteur market milk Co. Ltd. first used round type high density polyethylene bottle(body) with low density polyethylene cap of 245g, 490g and 980g volumes respectively.

There are two different groups of vessels which have a duty to avoid the other vessel in the Collision Regulations； one is a vessel to keep out of the way and the other is a vessel not to impede the passage. The definition and duty of a vessel not to impede was clarified by IMO＇s adoption of rule 8(f) of 1972 COLREG in 1987 revision. However, the Korean government has not inserted rule 8(f) of 1972 COLREG into Korean national collision regulations to date and so the definition and application for a vessel not to impede has not been discussed in even academic circle. Recently Korean Supreme Court rendered a verdict on a collision case involved with a vessel not to impede. The writer expresses his view on the duty of a vessel not to impede and criticizes the Supreme Court's judgment, consulting with foreign scholar's article and the relevant IMO's papers.

전기설비 기술기준은 1972년 1월 개정된 이해로 많은 변화를 일으켰으므로 오늘날에 와서는 그 실정이 맞지 않게 되어 전기설비 수준의 향상에 따라 자연 과거에 제정한 규정을 현실에 맞도록 고치지 않을 수 없게 되었다. 이러한 사회적 요청에 의하여 개정하게 된 것이 전선을 비롯한 옥내배선공사, 전력보안 통신설비에 이르기까지 광범위한 대폭개정이므로 다음에 그 개정부분의 구체적 사항을 들어서 주요점을 설명하기고 한다.
