A wavelength multiplexing based stereoscopic 3D-LCD will be introduced. A new 120 Hz scanning RGB-backlight unit was developed. This backlight module was combined with a standard 120Hz LCD. The 3D-LCD based on interference filter glasses offers an outstanding channel separation and a wide viewing angl.
In this letter, the constant driving power reduction ratio has been achieved for column drivers regardless of the input image by incorporating a new static power reduction scheme into the previous dynamic power reduction method. The measured power reduction ratio is around 50% for a 120 Hz liquid crystal display panel in such cases of still input video and fallback.

The backscattered sound energy by fish depends on size and physical structure and, most important, on the presence or absence of a swimbladder. Target strength experiments of red seabream (Pagrus major) were conducted by using 38 (split-beam), 120 (split-beam) and 200 kHz (dual-beam) frequencies with live fishes confined in a net-cage and free swimming in tank without the cage, respectively. For 38, 120, and 200 kHz frequencies, target strength equations are expressed as a function of fish length:TS/sub 38kHz/=20 log/sub 1o(l)/-66.41, TS/sub 120kHz/=20 log/sub 1o(1)/-71.80, and TS/sub 200kHz/=20 log/sub 1o(1)/-73.94. To test the acoustic models by using Helmholtz-Kirchhoff ray approximation, predictions of target strength based on swimbladder morphometries are compared with target strength measurements. The target strength of whole fish depends on variations in swimbladder morphology than fish body morphology. In the mean time, when the fish is confined in the net cage, scattering length by the backscattered signal matched with the Gaussian PDF, while under the free-swimming condition, scattering length is close to the Rayleigh PDF.

In this study, vibration characteristics in according to the load type of cast resin transformer using vibration measurement device were compared. Measurement conditions are the same installation and operation of the three-phase cast resin transformer. If the load increases in transformer using the rotating machinery, the frequency is growing. In the transformer using the lighting and heating loads, it's detected the 55 [${\mu}m/s$] in or outside and 120 [${\mu}m/s$] or more at 60[Hz], the 30 [${\mu}m/s$] in or outside at 120[Hz], and the 70 [${\mu}m/s$] in or outside at 420[Hz]. When increases the loads, it's appeared the 60 [${\mu}m/s$] or less at 450[Hz] or more in rotating machinery, but the velocity of lighting and lighting loads are appeared from 5[${\mu}m/s$] to 115[${\mu}m/s$] inside the 420[Hz] in the same load condition of 20[%]. Through this study, it's verified that there are differences the internal vibration in according to the type of load in cast resin transformer.
To quantitatively estimate the influence of cuttlebone on the target strength (TS) of golden cuttlefish, the cuttlebone was carefully extracted from 19 live cuttlefish caught using traps in the inshore waters around Geojedo, Korea, in early May 2010 and the TS was measured using split-beam echosounders (Simrad ES60 and EY500). The TS-length relationships for the cuttlefish (before the extraction of cuttlebone, Fish Aquat Sci. 17:361-7, 2014) and the corresponding cuttlebone were compared. The cuttlebone length ($L_b$) ranged from 151 to 195 mm (mean $L_b$ = 168.3 mm) and the mass ($W_b$) ranged from 29.3 to 53.2 g (mean $W_b$ = 38.8 g). The mean TS values at 70 and 120 kHz were -33.60 dB (std = 1.12 dB) and -32.24 dB (std = 1.87 dB), respectively. The mean TS values of cuttlebone were 0.19 dB and 0.04 dB lower than those of cuttlefish at 70 and 120 kHz, respectively. For 70 and 120 kHz combined, the mean TS value of cuttlebone was -32.87 dB, 0.11 dB lower than that of cuttlefish (-32.76 dB). On the other hand, the mean TS value of cuttlebone predicted by the regression ($TS_b$ = 24.86 $log_{10}$$L_b$ - 4.86 $log_{10}$${\lambda}$ - 22.58, $r^2$ = 0.85, N = 38, P < 0.01) was -33.10 dB, 0.04 dB lower than that of cuttlefish predicted by the regression ($TS_c$ = 24.62 $log_{10}$$L_c$ - 4.62 $log_{10}$${\lambda}$ - 22.64, $r^2$ = 0.85, N = 38, P < 0.01). That is, the contribution of cuttlebone to the cuttlefish TS determined by the measured results was slightly greater than that by the predicted results. These results suggest that cuttlebone is responsible for the TS of cuttlefish, and the contribution is estimated to be at least 99 % of the total echo strength.

In this paper, we designed a compact frequency synthesizer with multi-function for Ka-band seeker. DDS(Direct Digital Synthesizer) is applied to generate various waveform and to cover high-speed frequency sweep. In order to reduce size, waveform generator and frequency up-converter are integrated in one module. Proposed frequency synthesizer provides precise detection and tracking waveform for low and high speed targets. It is observed that fabricated synthesizer performs $0.45{\mu}sec$ frequency switching time and -93.69 dBc/Hz phase noise at offset 1 kHz. The size of the synthesizer is kept within 120 mm width, 120 mm length and 22 mm height.

Recently, the LED(Light Emitting Diode) is expected to replace conventional lamps including incandescent, halogen and fluorescent lamps for some general illumination application, due to some obvious features such as high luminous efficiency, safety, long life, environment-friendly characteristics and so on. To drive the LED, a single stage PFC(Power Factor Correction) flyback converter has been adopted to satisfy the isolation, PFC and low cost. The conventional flyback LED driver has the serious disadvantage of high 120Hz output current ripple caused by the PFC operation. To overcome this drawback, a new PFC flyback with low 120Hz output current ripple is proposed in this paper. It is composed of 2 power stages, the DCM(Discontinuous Conduction Mode) flyback converter for PFC and BCM(Boundary Conduction Mode) boost converter for tightly regulated LED current. Since the link capacitor is located in the secondary side, its voltage stress is small. Moreover, since the driver is composed of 2 power stages, small output filter and link capacitor can be used. Especially, since the flyback is operated at DCM, the PFC can be automatically obtained and thus, an additional PFC IC is not necessary. Therefore, only one control IC for BCM boost converter is required. To confirm the validity of the proposed converter, theoretical analysis and experimental results from a prototype of 24W LED driver are presented.

In this study, the temperature characteristics of electrostatic capacity and dielectric loss for the sample of Teflon film which is degradated at the $120^{\circ}C{\sim}200^{\circ}C$ temperature range in the oven for 10 hours has been measured in through the applied frequency range of 0.1 kHz~4,800 kHz at temperature of $50^{\circ}C$, $90^{\circ}C$, $130^{\circ}C$, $170^{\circ}C$. Also, in the same conditions, the frequency characteristics of electrostatic capacity and dielectric loss for the sample of Teflon film has been measured in through the applied temperature range of $30^{\circ}C{\sim}70^{\circ}C$ on setting frequency of 0.1 kHz, 1 kHz, 10 kHz, 100 kHz. The results of this study are as follows. When the frequency range of 0.1 kHz~4,800 kHz applied to the sample of Teflon film, the electrostatic capacity has been measured at the temperature of $50^{\circ}C$, $90^{\circ}C$, $130^{\circ}C$, $170^{\circ}C$. Through this measurement, it found that the electrostatic capacity decreased with increasing temperature. Regarding this result, may be it is because the electromagnetic coupling is degraded by thermal degradation. When the sample of Teflon film heated at $280^{\circ}C$ for 10 hours in oven, the dielectric loss has changed from unstable status to stabilizing status with increasing the degradation temperature in the $120^{\circ}C$, $160^{\circ}C$, $200^{\circ}C$ range. In this measurement, the two spectrums of dielectric loss appeared. It considers that this spectrum of dielectric loss appeared in 300 Hz is caused by the molecular motion of the C-F or OH group. Through this study, It found that the electrostatic capacity decreased with increasing frequency and temperature, and there is no change in dielectric loss, although the frequency increases.

We propose pulsed magnetic stimulation below 30W by the AC(60Hz) switching control of leakage transformer primary which has some advantage of cost and size compared to a typical pulsed power supply. Pulse repetition rate is adjusted from 5Hz to 60Hz to control magnetic stimulation output. In this magnetic stimulation, a low voltage open loop control for high voltage discharge circuit is employed to avoid the HV sampling or switching and high voltage leakage transformer is used to convert rectified low voltage pulse to high voltage one. A ZCS(Zero Cross Switch)circuit and a DSP & FPGA are used to control gate signal of SCR precisely. The pulse repetition rate is limited by 60Hz due to the frequency of AC line and a high leakage inductance. The maximum magnetic stimulation output was obtained about 33W at pulse repetition rate of 60Hz, total 40, 80, 120, $160^{\circ}$, SCR gate trigger angle $90^{\circ}$ and total output.
