A New Field Sequential Stereoscopic LCDs by use of Dual-Directional-Backlight

  • We have developed the Scan-backlight Stereoscopic LCD that is a kind of field-sequential -Stereoscopic LCD combining the Dual- Directional- Backlight and the fast-response OCB panel. The Dual-Directional-Backlight using a double-sided prism sheet can change the direction of light by switching the LED light sources. The OCB panel using Feed-Forward Drive can realize frame rate of 120 Hz. As a result, the Scan-backlight Stereoscopic display works at its original resolving power, and produces flicker-free stereoscopic images. This auto- stereoscopic display can resolved the problems of the double images and the pseudoscopic images in case of watching at oblique angles.

A full-color anaglyph three-dimensional display system using active color filter glasses

  • Presented herein is a novel stereoscopic three-dimensional (3D) display system with active color filter glasses. This system provides full-color 3D images by applying the time-multiplexing technique on the original anaglyph method. By switching between the opposite anaglyph statuses, a full-color anaglyph is presented. A liquid crystal panel from a 3D monitor serves as an active color filter operating at 120 Hz. A display panel and a color filter are connected to one graphic card as a dual-link system, for synchronization. To test the quality of this system, a left/right-eye image separation test and an experiment with stereoscopic images were carried out. Although there was some crosstalk and blur, the system, as expected, provided full-color 3D display. This system overcomes a monochromatic 3D image, which is the major weakness of the original anaglyph system.

A study on the dielectric dispersion phenomena due to thermal aging of polypropylene film (폴리플로필렌 필름의 열노화에 의한 유전완화현상에 관한 연구)

  • This paper was a study on dielectric phenomena of the specimen, Polypropylene films which were annealled in air and quenched in liquid nitrogen after aging for 5[hr] in water of 100[.deg.C]. The specimen was measured in temperature range of 15-120[.deg.C] and in frequency range of 30-1x 10$^{6}$ [HZ]. As the results of the study, it was confirmed that the tacticity of specimen was isotactic structure, and the degree of cryatallinity of the specimens calculated by means of Natta's method from XRD (X-ray Diffraction) spectrum was 55[%]. And for dielectric relaxation, .betha. peak-the tan .delta. (spectrum around 20[.deg.C])-attributed due to amorphous regions, and .alpha. peak - the tan .delta. spectrum around 90[.deg.C]-due to crystalline regions. It was identified that the degree of crystallinity of the specimen quenched in the liquid nitrogen was increased to 55-65[%], and that of the specimen annealled in the air was decreased to 55-50[%]. And activation energy from dielectric loss spectra was obtained 34.5[kcal/mole] for .alpha. peak and 80.5[kcal/mole] for .betha. peak, respectively.

Analysis on Characteristics of Core and Winding Vibration in Cast Resin Transformer (몰드변압기 철심과 권선 진동 특성분석)

  • In this paper, The cast resin transformer's vibration is measured using noncontact raser vibrometer(LV110D). The vibration characteristics of transformer windings and core are analyzed for relation between vibration magnitude and cause. Using the analysis results, the technique is presented to diagnose cast resin transformer. which is able to diagnose transformer' deformation in winding and core geometry. The magnetostriction and electromagnetic force act on the core and windings, causing them to vibrate. The vibration from windings and core penetrates into transformer cast resin and reaches the outside walls. The fundamental frequency of the core and windings vibration signal is twice that of the power frequency(120Hz). The results show that the magnitude of core vibration is linear to driving voltage amplitude and magnitude of windings vibration is increased to loading current under the some level and then stabilized.

  • 본 논문에서는 120kW급에 이어 단일용량 200kW급 태양광발전용 계통연계형 인버터의 개발에 관한 내용을 설명하고 있다. 200kW급 계통연계형 태양광발전시스템은 22.9kV의 특고압 계통전원에 연계되도록 설계되었으며, 삼상 380V를 22.9kV로 승압 연계하는 2단 절연방식을 채택하였다. 200kW급 인버터는 상용주파수 변압기 절연방식으로 3상4선식 380V 60Hz 출력을 가지고 있으며, 인버터 내부에 200kVA급 변압기와 리액터를 포함하고 있다. 최대 전력점 추종(Maximum Power Point Tracking, MPPT)제어 기법으로 P&O 알고리즘을 적용하였으며, 3상 IGBT 인버터를 DSP로 제어하였다. 본 논문에서는 200kW급 단일용량 인버터를 개발함에 있어, 계통연계 시험, 단독운전 검출 및 방지 시험, 발전량에 따른 효율과 THD 측정 등의 결과를 보이고 있다.

  • This thesis describes the effect of heat treatment on the magnetic properties of Co-bsaed Amorphous. A sample was chosen as basic composition with Co$\_$82//Si$\_$2//B$\_$16/ of zero magnetostriction. It was made by single roll method with quartz orifice 0.5[mmø], Ar gas pressure 0.6 [kg/cm$^2$] and roll speed 28 (m/sec) and atmosphere is ,Ar gas. We obtained the sample of width 2.4(mm), thickness 45[$\mu\textrm{m}$]. Made sample annealed for the improvement of magnetic propertics at at annealing temperature 325,350,375 and 400$^{\circ}C$ and annealing time 15, 30, 45, 60 and 120min respectiveily. Amorphous ribbon of co-based showed high permeab- ility ${\mu}$=8000∼14000, and became improvement of magnetic properties according to anneal ins temperature and time. Especially. Amorphous sample at 325$^{\circ}C$ ,45min appearanced high permeability ${\mu}$=13, 589 at frequency f= 100Hz. and loss factor was reduced at low frequency with rising anneal ins ti me and temperature more annealed sample than basic sample.

  • This paper describes the design, fabrication and testing of a micromachined resonant accelerometer consisting of a symmetrical pair of proof masses and double-ended tuning fork(DETF) oscillators. Under the external acceleration along the input axis, the proof mass applies forces to the oscillators, which causes a change in their resonant frequency. This frequency change is measured to indicate the applied acceleration. Pivot anchor and leverage mechanisms are adopted in the accelerometer to generate larger force from a proof mass under certain acceleration, which enables increasing its scale factor. Finite element method analyses have been conducted to design the accelerometer and a silicon on insulator(SOI) wafer with a substrate glass wafer was used for fabricating it. The fabricated accelerometer has a scale factor of 188 Hz/g, which is shown to be in agreement with analysis results.

Effect on Organic Solvent of Fabrication Processing in Epoxy Nanocomposites (나노복합재료에서의 유기용매의 영향)

  • The nano-technology becomes a key technology in every field and it wasn't specialized any more. But nano-technology didn't applied every fields actively. Because It is difficult to fabricate the nanocomposites using nano-partie without aggregation of nano-size particles. So many researcher used organic solvent for dispersion in polymer nanocomposites. But organic solvent affected the electrical, mechanical, and thermal properties in the sample. We aimed this point that investigated the effect of organic solvent in the sample by evaporated temperature(60, 80, $100^{\circ}C$). In results, nano-particles affected to electrical properties of the sample due to decrease the energy gap. And at 120 Hz, impedance value of samples by varied evaporated temperature was decreased only at $60^{\circ}C$ dramatically. It's means that organic solvent role to impurities and decreased the activation energy. And these impurities contributed to the conductivity in the sample.

  • [ $Bi_{3.25}La_{0.75}Ti_3O_{12}$ ] (BLT) thin films were prepared by using metal organic decomposition method onto the LaNiO3 (LNO) bottom electrode. Both the structure and morphology of the films were analyzed by x-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscope (AFM). Even at low temperatures ranging from 450 to $650^{\circ}C$, the BLT thin films were successfully deposited on LNO bottom electrode and exhibited (117) orientation. The BLT thin films annealed as low as $600^{\circ}C$ showed excellent ferroelectricity, higher remanent polarization and no significant degradation of switching charge at least up to $5{\times}10^9$ switching cycles at a frequency of 100 kHz and 5 V. For the annealing temperature of $600^{\circ}C$, the remanent polarization $P_r$ and coercive field were $23.5\;{\mu}C/cm^2$ and 120 kV/cm, respectively.

진공 부품용 플라즈마 전해산화 피막 제조 및 특성 평가

  • 플라즈마 전해산화(plasma electrolytic oxidation) 기술을 이용하여 제작한 산화 피막은 피막의 하층부(기지 금속과 접해 있는 부분)는 ${\alpha}$-phase의 산화물이 대부분을 이루고 있으며, 기지 금속과의 접착성도 뛰어나다. 하지만 피막의 표면이 거칠고, 다공성을 띄는 특징을 보인다. 본 연구에서는 피막의 거칠기와 다공성을 제어하기 위한 방법으로 전해액에 포함된 불순물(Si, P 등) 조성비의 변화에 초점을 맞췄으며, 불순물(Si, P 등)의 조성비를 변화시켜 가면서 실험을 진행하였다. 실험에는 60 Hz, 35 kW(700 V, 50 A)의 power supply가 사용되었다. 또한, 실험의 결과로 제작된 시편의 내전압(10 V/s), 내플라즈마(200 W, 10 min, Ar 5 sccm, 200 mTorr), 내화학성(HCl 36.46 wt%, 120 min) 테스트를 진행하였으며, 실험 결과를 바탕으로 ${\phi}300$ 대면적 시편의 제작도 완료하였다.
