The Y1.99-xMxCe0.01SiO5(M=Li, La, Nd, and Gd) phosphors were synthesized by solid-state reaction at 1350oC for 10h under reducing atmosphere in order to improve properties of blue emitting phosphors. Compared with commercial blue phosphors, the Y2SiO5:Ce blue phosphors substituted with various elements showed significant enhancement of the emission intensity. Particularly, 1 mol% Li doped Y2SiO5:Ce phosphors indicated the maximum emission intensity in the photoluminescence spectra. Thanks to SEM analyses revealed that the morphology of Y2SiO5:(Ce,Li) blue phosphors was a pseudo-spherical with particle size of 3m.
As 3V cathode material, a new doping spinel material, LiMn1.6Se0.4O4 powder with a phase-pure polycrystalline was synthesized by a sol-gel method. In spite of Jahn-teller distortion in 3V region($2.4{\sim}3.5V$), the LiMn1.6Se0.4O4 electrode shows no capacity loss. The material in the 3V region initially delivers a discharge capacity of 100mAh/g which increase with cycling to reach 105mAh/g after 90cycles. And 5V cathode material LiNi0.5-xMxMn1.5O4(M=Cr, V, Fe) compounds have been synthesized by sol-gel method. a series of electroactive spinel compounds, LiNi0.5-xMxMn1.5O4(M=Cr, V, Fe) has been studied by crystallographic and electrochemical methods. The material presents only one plateau at around 4.5 V vs. Li/Li+ with a large discharge capacity of 152mAh/g and fairly good cyclability.
The effect of the Mo addition on the high temperature creep properties of the 9Cr-3W steel was also evaluated. Two experimental steels, (9Cr-3W and 9Cr-3W-0.5Mo), were prepared using a vacuum induction melting process, followed by hot rolling and heat treatment processes. Three types of precipitates, ($M_{23}C_6$, Nb-rich MX and V-rich MX) were observed in a typical tempered martensitic matrix. Significant effects of the Mo addition on the tensile properties were not observed. However, the creep properties at $650^{\circ}C$ under applied stresses of 140 and 150 MPa were considerably enhanced by the Mo addition. The microstructural observation after the creep test indicated that the addition of Mo could function to retain the recovery of the martensitic matrix, thus resulting in the enhanced creep properties of the 9Cr-3W-0.5Mo steel. Furthermore coarsening of the $M_{23}C_6$ carbides and formation of Laves phases were observed in both samples after the creep tests.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the reliability of lower limb joint angles computed with the software ImageJ during jumping movements. Background: Kinematics is the study of bodies in motion without regard to the forces or torques that may produce the motion. The most common method for collecting motion data uses an imaging and motion-caption system to record the 2D or 3D coordinates of markers attached to a moving object, followed by manual or automatic digitizing software. Above all, passive optical motion capture systems (e.g. Vicon system) have been regarded as the gold standards for collecting motion data. On the other hand, ImageJ is used widely for an image analysis as free software, and can collect the 2D coordinates of markers. Although much research has been carried out into the utilizations of the ImageJ software, little is known about their reliability. Method: Seven healthy female students participated as the subject in this study. Seventeen reflective markers were attached on the right and left lower limbs to measure two and three-dimensional joint angular motions. Jump performance was recorded by ten-vicon camera systems (250Hz) and one digital video camera (240Hz). The joint angles of the ankle and knee joints were calculated using 2D (ImageJ) and 3D (Vicon-MX) motion data, respectively. Results: Pearson's correlation coefficients between the two methods were calculated, and significance tests were conducted (${\alpha}=1%$). Correlation coefficients between the two were over 0.98. In Vicon-MX and ImageJ, there is no systematic error by examination of the validity using the Bland-Altman method, and all data are in the 95% limits of agreement. Conclusion: In this study, correlation coefficients are generally high, and the regression line is near the identical line. Therefore, it is considered that motion analysis using ImageJ is a useful tool for evaluation of human movements in various research areas. Application: This result can be utilized as a practical tool to analyze human performance in various fields.
Characteristics related to grain quality and physiochemical components such as mineral, total amino acid, free amino acid, and free sugar composition were investigated in Protox inhibitor resistanttransgenic rice (MX, PX, and AP37) and its nontransgenic counterpart (WT). Head rice, palatability, protein, and whiteness (except for MX and AP37) of milled transgenic rice were high or similar to those of the non-transgenic counterpart. Immature rice, unfilled grain, and cracked kernels (PX and AP37) of milled transgenic rice were lower than those of its non-transgenic counterpart. However, there were no significant differences in damaged grain between the transgenic rice lines and its counterpart. Potassium content in PX and copper contents in PX and AP37 were only low compared with their non-transgenic counterparts, but other mineral contents in transgenic rice lines were high or showed no significant differences compared with non-transgenic counterparts. Contents of most total amino acid composition in transgenic rice lines were high or similar to those in non-transgenic counterparts, but the content of isoleucine in AP37 was only low compared with its non-transgenic counterpart. On the other hand, free amino acid, leucine and tyrosine in PX and AP37, and total free amino acid in PX were low compared with their non-transgenic counterparts. However, the content of free amino acid in other kinds in transgenic rice lines were similar to those in their non-transgenic counterparts. Contents of sucrose in MX and PX were low compared with non-transgenic counterpars, but contents of fructose, glucose, and maltose in transgenic rice lines were high or similar compared with their non-transgenic counterparts. This results indicated that Protox genes had no negative affect on the nutritional composition of rice.

A 6-component load cell (Fx=Fy=Fz=10Kg, Mx=My=Mz=1Kg-m)) is designed and manufactured. Basic mechanism of the operation is measuring strains coresponding to pure bending stresses, at certain portions of the device, due to forces and moments given. Wheastone bridge is used for the strain measurement and the amplified output signals from the bridge are decoupled to give the real forces and moments by using the influence coefficient matrix obtained through the calibration. Based on the result of the calibration test, the developed load cell is believed to be quite accurate and reliable. We also believe that the design experience provided us 'With essential information for future design of various types of conventional or object oriented force measuring device.

Purpose : Samsung medical ceter shall find a cause of the interference factor and suggest a solution for it. Materials and Methods : A sample of $^{18}F$-FDG, radioactive pharmaceuticals produced by TRACERlab MX and FASTlab synthesizer. Gel-clot method uses Positive control tube and single test tube. Kinetic chromogenic method uses ENDOSAFE-PTS produced by Charles River. Results : According to Gel clot method of Endotoxin Tests at FASTlab, both turbidity and viscosity increased at 40-fold dilution and Gel clot was detected. In case of TRACERlab MX, Gel clot was detected in most of samples but intermittently not in a few of them. When using ENDOSAFE-PTS, sample CV (Coefficient of Variation) of FASTlab is 0% at all dilution rates whereas spike CV is 0% at 1-fold dilution, 0~35% at 10-fold, 3.6~12.9% at 20-fold, 5.2~7.1% at 30-fold, 1.1~17.4% at 40-fold, spike recovery; 0% at one-fold, 25 ~ 58% at 10-fold, 50 ~ 86% at 20-fold, 70~92% at 30-fold, and 75~120% at 40-fold. Sample CV of TRACERlab MX, is 0% at all dilution rates whereas spike CV is 1.4~4.8% at one-fold dilution, 0.6~19.9% at 10-fold, spike recovery; 35~72% at one-fold dilution and 77~107% at 10-fold. Conclusion : Gel clot does not seem to occur probably to H3PO4 which engages in bonding with Mg2+ion contributing gelation inside PCT. Dilution which is identical to reducing the amount of H3PO4, could remove interfering effects accordingly. Spike recovery was obtained within 70~150% - recommended values of supplier - at 40-fold dilution even in kinetic chromogenic method.

HSF1 is the heat shock transcription factor in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. S. cerevisiae KNU5377 can ferment at high temperature such as $40^{\b{o}}C$. We have been the subjects of intense study because Hsf1p mediates gene expression not only to heat shock, but to a variety of cellular and environmental stress challenges. Basing these facts, we firstly tried to construct the hsf1 gene-deleted mutant. PCR-method for fast production of gene disruption cassette was introduced in a thermotolerant yeast S. cerevisiae KNU5377, which allowed the addition of short flanking homology region as short as 45 bp suffice to mediate homologous recombination to kanMX module. Such a cassette is composed of linking genomic DNA of target gene to the selectable marker kanMX4 that confers geneticin (G418) resistance in yeast. That module is extensively used for PCR-based gene replacement of target gene in the laboratory strains. We describe here the generation of hsf1 gene disruption construction using PCR product of selectable marker with primers that provide homology to the hsf1 gene following separation of haploid strain in wild type yeast S. cerevisiae KNU5377. Yeast deletion overview containing replace cassette module, deletion mutant construction and strain confirmation in this study used Saccharomyces Genome Deletion Project (http:://www-sequence.standard.edu/group/yeast_deletion_project). This mutant by genetic manipulation of wild type yeast KNU5377 strain will provide a good system for analyzing the research of the molecular biology underlying their physiology and metabolic process under fermentation and improvement of their fermentative properties.
Several types of resocinols have been monobrominated in the ring in good yields with sodium bromide in the presence of 18-crown-6 on oxidation with m-chloroperbenzoic acid. Monoiodination takes place with 2'-(1-methylcyclohexen-3-yl)-5-(1,1-dimethylheptyl )-resocinol when sodium iodide is employed. This new reagent system, MX/18-crown-6/m-CPBA (M =$K^+, Na^+, X = Br^-, I^-X$ ), effects the regiospecific halogenation of activated aromatic ring over olefinic double bond.

This paper describes the development of the calibration system for a multi-axis force/moment sensor and its uncertainty evaluation. This calibration system can generate the continuous forces (${\pm}Fx,\;{\pm}Fy$ and ${\pm}Fz$) and moments (${\pm}Mx,\;{\pm}My$ and ${\pm}Mz$). Many kinds of multi-axis force/moment sensors in industries should be carried out the characteristic test or the calibration with the calibration system that can generate the forces and the moments. The calibration systems have been already developed are the disadvantages of the low capacity, the generation of step forces(10N, 20N ...) and step moments(1Nm, 2Nm ...) with weights, the high coasts in manufacture and so on. In this paper, the calibration system for a multi-axis force/moment sensor that can generate the continuous three forces and three moments was developed. Their ranges are $0{\sim}2000N$ in all force-directions and $0{\sim}400Nm$ in all moment-directions. And the system was evaluated in the expanded relative uncertainty. They were ${\pm}0.0004$ in all forces ${\pm}Fx,\;{\pm}Fy$ and ${\pm}Fz$, and ${\pm}0.0004$ in all moments ${\pm}Mx,\;{\pm}My$ and ${\pm}Mz$.
