Seven kinds of hysteric model were used and classified three groups considering the absorbing capacities of strain energy for each model. Four kids of each model. Four kinds of strong motion earthquake record (two of them were recorded in Japan and the others in U.S.A) are used. The yield strength of building was set in the ratio to the maximum input acceleration (Yield Strength / Maximum Acceleration = 0.5~3.0). Natural periods of structures were varied 0.1~3.0 second with an interval of 0.1 second. First group : Elastic-Plastic model, Ramberg-Osgood model Second group : Degrading Tri-liner model, Takeda model Third group : Slip model, Origin model, Max-D model Elastic-plastic response spectra were calculated for response velocities, displacement, energy input, ductility factors, accumulated ductility factors. The equivalent response values of M.D.O.F systems against S.D.O.F system were calculated to compare the relationship of two systems.

In this paper we proposed to develop the reliability growth planning for the One-shot system using the PM2-Discrete model. The PM2-Discrete is the methodology specifically developed for discrete systems and is the first quantitative method available for formulating detailed plans in the discrete usage domain. First, the parameters RG, RI, T, MS and d of the PM2-Discrete model are set. Second, the case analysis was performed on One-shot system A. Third, the input parameter values were applied to drive the R(t) equation. Finally, using RGA 11 Software, the reliability Growth Planning Curve of One-shot system A was constructed. Also, the sensitivity analyses are performed for the changes of model parameters. The results of this study can be usefully used in establishing the reliability growth planning curve of the One-shot system.
Soft clay is widely spread in nature and encountered in geotechnical engineering applications. The creep property of soft clay greatly affects the long-term performance of its upper structures. Therefore, it is vital to establish a reasonable and practical creep constitutive model. In the study, two updated hyperbolic equations based on the volumetric creep and deviatoric creep are respectively proposed. Subsequently, three creep constitutive models based on different creep behavior, i.e., V-model (use volumetric creep equation), D-model (use deviatoric creep equation) and VD-model (use both volumetric and deviatoric creep equations) are developed and compared. From the aspect of prediction accuracy, both V-model and D-model show good agreements with experimental results, while the predictions of the VD-model are smaller than the experimental results. In terms of the parametric sensitivity, D-model and VD-model are lower sensitive to parameter M (the slope of the critical state line) than V-model. Therefore, the D-model which is developed by incorporating the updated deviatoric creep equation is suggested in engineering applications.

In this study, sequential mixing model (SMM) was proposed based on the Taylor's theory which can be summarized as the fact that longitudinal advection and transverse diffusion occur independently and then the balance between the longitudinal shear and transverse mixing maintains. The numerical simulation of the model were performed for cases of different mixing time and transverse velocity distribution, and the results were compared with the solutions of 1-D longitudinal dispersion model (1-D LDM) and 2-D advection-dispersion model (2-D ADM). As a result it was confirmed that SMM embodies the Taylor's theory well. By the comparison between SMM and 2-D ADM, the relationship between the mixing time and the transverse diffusion coefficient was evaluated, and thus SMM can integrate 2-D ADM model as well as 1-D LDM model and be an explanatory model which can represents the shear flow dispersion in a visible way. In this study, the predicting equation of the longitudinal dispersion coefficient was developed by fitting the simulation results of SMM to the solution of 1-D LDM. The verification of the proposed equation was performed by the application to the 38 sets of field data. The proposed equation can predict the longitudinal dispersion coefficient within reliable accuracy, especially for the river with small width-to-depth ratio.

This paper presents the free vibration analysis of damaged beams by means of 1D (beam) advanced finite element models. The present 1D formulation stems from the Carrera Unified Formulation (CUF), and it leads to a Component-Wise (CW) modelling. By means of the CUF, any order 2D and 1D structural models can be developed in a unified and hierarchical manner, and they provide extremely accurate results with very low computational costs. The computational cost reduction in terms of total amount of DOFs ranges from 10 to 100 times less than shell and solid models, respectively. The CW provides a detailed physical description of the real structure since each component can be modelled with its material characteristics, that is, no homogenization techniques are required. Furthermore, although 1D models are exploited, the problem unknown variables can be placed on the physical surfaces of the real 3D model. No artificial surfaces or lines have to be defined to build the structural model. Global and local damages are introduced by decreasing the stiffness properties of the material in the damaged regions. The results show that the proposed 1D models can deal with damaged structures as accurately as a shell or a solid model, but with far lower computational costs. Furthermore, it is shown how the presence of damages can lead to shell-like modal shapes and torsional/bending coupling.
This study is part of three-dimensional(3D) heat transfer analysis program developmental process. The program is being developed without it's own built in 3D-modeller. So 3D-model must be created from another 3D-modeller such as generic CAD programs and imported to the developed program. After that, according to the 3D-geometric data form imported model, 3D-mesh created for numerical calculation. But the 3D-model created from another 3D-modeller is likely to have errors in it's geometric data such as mismatch of position between vertexes or surfaces. these errors make it difficult to create 3D-mesh for calculation. These errors are must be detected and cured in the pre-process before creating 3D-mesh. So, in this study four kinds of filters and functions are developed and tested. Firstly, 'vertex error filter' is developed for detecting and curing for position data errors between vertexes. Secondly, 'normal vector error filter' is developed for errors of surface's normal vector in 3D-model. Thirdly, 'intersection filter' is developed for extracting and creating intersection surface between adjacent objects. fourthly, 'polygon-line filter' is developed for indicating outlines of object in 3D-model. the developed filters and functions were tested on several shapes of 3D-models. and confirmed applicability. these developed filters and functions will be applied to the developed program and tested and modified continuously for less errors and more accuracy.

3D printing is one of the emerging technologies and getting a lot of attention. To do 3D printing, 3D model is first generated, and then converted to G-code which is 3D printer's operations. Facet, which is a small triangle, represents a small surface of 3D model. Depending on the height or precision of the 3D model, the number of facets becomes very large and so the conversion time from 3D model to G-code takes longer. Apach Hadoop is a software framework to support distributed processing for large data set and its application range gets widening. In this paper, Hadoop is used to do the conversion works time-efficient way. 2-phase distributed algorithm is developed first. In the algorithm, all facets are sorted according to its lowest Z-value, divided into N parts, and converted on several nodes independently. The algorithm is implemented in four steps; preprocessing - Map - Shuffling - Reduce of Hadoop. Finally, to show the performance evaluation, Hadoop systems are set up and converts testing 3D model while changing the height or precision.

Purpose It has been stated that patient satisfaction is the crucial factor for determining success in plastic surgery. The convergence of medical science and computer vision has made easier to satisfy patients who wants to have plastic surgery. In this paper, we try to apply 3D face modeling in plastic surgical area. Materials and Methods The author introduces a method for accurate 3D face modeling techniques using a statistical model-based 3D face modeling approach in a mirror system. Results We could successfully obtain highly accurate 3D face shape results. Conclusion The method suggested could be used for acquiring 3D face models from 2D face image and the result obtained from this could be effectively used for plastic surgical areas.
The critical behavior of the classical D-dimensional spin model (D${\ge}$2), which is intermediate model that link up the Ising (D = 1) and the spherical model (D = ${\infty}$), is studied for the case of constant coupling interaction independent of the spin-spin distance (Curie-Weiss model). Analytical results show that the critical behavior of the present model is in quantitative agreement with the prediction of the phenomenological mean-field theory independent of D. Critical temperature is calculated to be T$_c$=k/JD. This gives a quantitative explanation of the relationship between the spin degree of freedom and the critical temperature.
