Paper cultural asset show various deterioration characteristics and behaviors according to the environmental conditions during the storage. The understanding of the paper itself and its conservation knowledge is thus prerequisite to preserve paper cultural assets and pass them to descendants in a good condition. The Annals of Joseon Dynasty is one of the most important our written cultural assets (National treasure No.151) and it is registered as a UNESCO Memory of the World. The Annals of Joseon Dynasty is composed of 1707 volumes and 1,187 books that were written on the official history of 472 years(AD 1392-1863) from King Taejo to King Chuljong (25 generations). Among them, beewax-treated Annals show severe damages due to the deterioration of wax materials such as breaking, hardening, darkening, discoloring and whitening. Urgent measures should be taken to preserve the Annals and prevent further deterioration. Therefore, a systematic and scientific approach on the conservation and restoration of the Annals of Joseon Dynasty is definitely necessary. So it can be used an example to show how much the preservation science can conserve the paper cultural assets. In this respect, this study focuses on analyzing paper properties and deterioration behaviors of the Annals of King Sejong, the most damaged one, using non-destructive micro analysis techniques.
A down hole vertical seismic array is a sequence of instruments installed at various depths in the earth to record the ground motion at multiple points during an earthquake. Numerous studies demonstrate the unique utility of vertical seismic arrays for studying in situ site response and soil behavior. Examples are given of analyses made at two sites to show the value of data from vertical seismic arrays. The sites examined are the Lotung, Taiwan SMART1 array and a new site installed at Jingliao, Taiwan. Details of the installation of the Jingliao array are given. ARX models are theoretically the correct process models for vertical wave propagation in the layered earth, and are used to linearly map deeper sensor input signals to shallower sensor output signals. An example of Event 16 at the Lotung array is given. This same data, when examined in detail with a Bayesian inference model, can also be explained by nonlinear filters yielding commonly accepted soil degradation curves. Results from applying an ARMAX model to data from the Jingliao vertical seismic array are presented. Estimates of inter-transducer soil increment resonant frequency, shear modulus, and damping ratio are presented. The shear modulus varied from 50 to 150 MPa, and damping ratio between 8% and 15%. A new hardware monitoring system - TerraScope - is an affordable 4-D down-hole seismic monitoring system based on independent, microprocessor-controlled sensor Pods. The Pods are nominally 50 mm in diameter, and about 120 mm long. An internal 16-bit micro-controller oversees all aspects of instrumentation, eight programmable gain amplifiers, and local signal storage.

Statement of problems: Self-etch adhesives exhibit some clinical benefits such as ease of manipulation and reduced technique-sensitivity. Nevertheless, some concern remains regarding the bonding effectiveness of self-etch adhesives to enamel, in particular when so-called 'mild' self-etch adhesives are employed. This study compared the microtensile bond strengths to ground enamel of the two-step self-etch adhesive Clearfil SE Bond (Kuraray) to the three-step etch-and- rinse adhesive Scotchbond Multi-Purpose (3M ESPE) and the one-step self-etch adhesive iBond (Heraeus Kulzer). Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a preceding phosphoric acid conditioning step on the bonding effectiveness of a two-step self-etch adhesive to ground enamel. Material and methods: The two-step self-etch adhesive Clearfil SE Bond non-etch group, Clearfil SE Bond etch group with prior 35% phosphoric acid etching, and the one-step self-etch adhesive iBond group were used as experimental groups. The three-step etch-and-rinse adhesive Scotchbond Multi-Purpose was used as a control group. The facial surfaces of bovine incisors were divided in four equal parts cruciformly, and randomly distributed into each group. The facial surface of each incisor was ground with 800-grit silicon carbide paper. Each adhesive group was applied according to the manufacturer's instructions to ground enamel, after which the surface was built up using Light-Core (Bisco). After storage in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$ for 1 week, the restored teeth were sectioned into enamel beams approximately 0.8*0.8mm in cross section using a low speed precision diamond saw (TOPMET Metsaw-LS). After storage in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$ for 1 month, 3 months, microtensile bond strength evaluations were performed using microspecimens. The microtensile bond strength (MPa) was derived by dividing the imposed force (N) at time of fracture by the bond area ($mm^2$). The mode of failure at the interface was determined with a microscope (Microscope-B nocular, Nikon). The data of microtensile bond strength were statistically analyzed using a one-way ANOVA, followed by Least Significant Difference Post Hoc Test at a significance level of 5%. Results: The mean microtensile bond strength after 1 month of storage showed no statistically significant difference between all adhesive groups (P>0.05). After 3 months of storage, adhesion to ground enamel of iBond was not significantly different from Clearfil SE Bond etch (P>>0.05), while Clearfil SE Bond non-etch and Scotchbond Multi-Purpose demonstrated significantly lower bond strengths (P<0.05), with no significant differences between the two adhesives. Conclusion: In this study the microtensile bond strength to ground enamel of two-step self-etch adhesive Clearfil SE Bond was not significantly different from three-step etch-and-rinse adhesive Scotchbond Multi-Purpose, and prior etching with 35% phosphoric acid significantly increased the bonding effectiveness of Clearfil SE Bond to enamel at 3 months.

Effects of packaging methods for maintaining the shelf-life and postharvest quality of Korean chive (Allium tuberosum Rotter) usually called buchu in Korea was studied during fall season. Buchu, which has high moisture content and active metabolism after harvest, is characterized by the greater changes in quality during storage and distribution. It is usually packaged in paper box during distribution in domestic channel in Korea where the marketability ends within few days of harvest. In order to maintain the commercial quality of buchu, we tried to use inner film with or without absorbent paper in commercial paper box packaging. The 'Greenbelt' cultivar of buchu was harvested in october and packaged in corrugated paper box (A), in corrugated paper box with micro-perforated high density polyethylene (HDPE) film as inner material (B), a layer of absorbent paper both at the bottom and top of buchu in corrugated paper box (C) and a combination of HDPE film as inner material along with a layer of absorbent paper both at the bottom and top of buchu in corrugated paper box (D), and stored at $5^{\circ}C$ for up to 21 days. Several quality parameters such as fresh weight loss, respiration rate, color, chlorophyll content and sensory qualities were monitored during storage. When buchu was packaged only in paper box, the appearance and quality deteriorated rapidly through decay development thereby sample became unmarketable within 12 days. On the other hand, buchu packaged with inner HDPE film maintained its quality, good visual appearance and exhibited a longer period of marketable life compared to the samples stored in other treatments. However, the use of absorbent paper did not have any significant effect in maintaining quality of buchu. The uses of inner HDPE film was effective in reducing weight loss that resulted better visual appearance of buchu. Results suggest that the use of inner HDPE film in bulk type corrugated paper box packaging and storing at $5^{\circ}C$ could be the optimum condition for commercial storage of buchu. Further investigation on other quality parameters and packaging methods would be useful in maintaining the quality aspects of buchu at postharvest stages.

A review on the papers published in the Korean Journal of Air-Conditioning and Refrigerating Engineering in 2002 and 2003 has been carried out. Focus has been put on current status of research in the aspect of heating, cooling, air-conditioning, ventilation, sanitation and building environment/design. The conclusions are as follows. (1) Most of fundamental studies on fluid flow were related with heat transportation in diverse facilities. Drop formation and rivulet flow on solid surfaces were interesting topics related with condensation augmentation. Research on micro environment considering flow, heat transfer, humidity was also interesting to promote comfortable living environment. It can be extended considering biological aspects. Development of fans and blowers of high performance and low noise were continuing research topics. Well developed CFD technologies were widely applied for analysis and design of various facilities and their systems. (2) Heat transfer characteristics of enhanced finned tube heat exchangers and heat sinks were extensively investigated. $CO_2$-EOR (Carbon Dioxide-Enhanced Oil Recovery), one of the enhanced oil recovery methods, helps to not only enhance the production of oil, but also store carbon dioxide in underground. However, if micro fractures occur when during the injection of $CO_2$, it is difficult to make permanent storage of $CO_2$ in reservoir and can cause contamination of groundwater and soil. Therefore, in this study, we performed microseismic monitoring to investigate the occurrence of fractures during the $CO_2$ injection at the Meruap oil reservoir, Indonesia. To pick the first arrivals of microseismic events, Improved MER (Modified Energy Ratio) method was used. After picking the first arrivals, hodogram analysis was carried out by using the data recorded at three component geophones to calculate the back azimuth of events. Finally, locations of microseismic events were decided by using the results of first arrival picking and hodogram analysis. Estimated locations showed that all microseismic events were occurred at surface and any fracture did not occur around the reservoir. Moreover, by analyzing noise characteristic, we confirmed that almost of picked first arrivals were due to the repetitive mechanical noise.
IC(Integrated circuits)card, generally be named smard card, embedded MPU(Micro Processor Unit) of small-size, memory, EEPROM, Card Operating System(COS) and security algorithm. The IC card is used in almost all industry such as a finance(credit, bank, stock etc.), a traffic, a communication, a medical, a electronic passport, a membership management and etc. Recently, a application field of IC card is on the increase by method for payments of T-commerce, as T-commerce is becoming a new growth engine of the broadcating industry by trend of broadcasting and telecommunication convergence, smart mechanization of TV. For example, we can pay in IC credit card(or IC cash card) on T-Commerce. or we can be provided TV banking service in IC cash card such as ATM. However, so far, T-commerce payment services have weakness in security such as storage and disclosure of card information as well as dropping sharply about custom ease because of taking advantage of card information input method using remote control. To solve this problem, This paper developed processing payment module for implementing TV electronic payment system using IC credit card payment standard, EMV.
This in vitro study evaluated the influence of a flowable composite resin on the tensile bond strength of resin to enamel and dentin treated with Er:YAG laser and diamond bur. 96 Buccal enamel and mid-coronal dentin were laser-irradiated using an Er:YAG laser and treated with diamond bur. Each groups(48) were divided two small groups depends on acid-etching procedure. Light-cure flowable resin(Metafil Flo) and self-cure resin(Clearfil FII New Bond) were used in this study. After surface etching with 37% phosphoric acid and the application of an adhesive system, specimens were prepared with a hybrid composite resin. After 24hours storage in distilled water at 37$^{\circ}C$, all samples were submitted to the tensile bond strength evaluation, using a universal testing machine(Z020, Zwick, Germany). The obtained results were as follows: 1. TBS of acid-etching group were higher than those of non-etching group in both enamel and dentin treated with Er:YAG laser and diamond bur. Laser 'conditioning' was clearly less effective than acid-etching. Moreover, acid etching lased enamel and dentin significantly improved the microTBS of M-Flo. 2. In enamel, TBS of laser-irradiated group were lower than those of bur-prepared group. However, in flowable resin subgroup, there were not differed those between two groups in dentin. 3. In laser-treated group, TBS of flowable composite resin were higher than those of self-curing resin in dentin, however, there was no difference in enamel. From this study, we can conclude that the self- and light-cure composite resin bonded significantly less effective to lased than to bur-cut enamel and dentin, and that acid-etch procedure remains mandatory even after laser ablation. We suggest that Er:YAG laser was useful for preparing dentin cavity with flowable resin filling.
In recent years, with the development of devices to collect multimedia data such as small CMOS camera sensor and micro phone, studies on wireless multimedia sensor network technologies and their applications that extend the existing wireless sensor network technologies have been actively done. In such applications, various basic schemes such as the processing, storage, and transmission of multimedia data are required. Especially, a security for real world environments is essential. In this paper, in order to defend the sniffing attack in various hacking techniques, we propose a multipath routing scheme for physically avoiding the data transmission path from the risk factors. Our proposed scheme establishes the DEFCON of the sensor nodes that are geographically close to risk factors and the priorities according to the importance of the data. Our proposed scheme performs risk factor detour multipath routing through a safe path considering the DEFCON and data priority. Our experimental results show that although our proposed scheme takes the transmission delay time by about 5% over the existing scheme, it reduces the eavesdropping rate that can attack and intercept data by the risk factor by about 18%.
