  • Precision farming has been known as an environment friendly farming technology. This study was conducted to develop a variable-rate granule fertilizer applicator as an attempt for introducing the precision farming technologies to rice cultivation in Korea. In this paper, concept design process and manufacturing of prototype variable rate granule applicator was reported. For concept design, some design guide lines were selected. Based on the design guide line and some engineering knowledge, concept design was conducted. The designed prototype granule applicator was mounted at the rear of riding type cultivator for paddy field and had a 10m wide boom structure with pneumatic conveying and application system as well as 1GPS receiver, 1 granule hopper, 12 blow heads, 2 metering devices and 1 controller. The fertilizer applicator had 942 ka of weight, 740m of ground clearance and 1,117mm of center of gravity from the ground. The applicator was designed to be able to $34{\sim}428kg/ha$ of granule at $0.2{\sim}0.8m/s$ of fertilizer working speed.

나노 준결정상으로 강화된 Ti계 벌크 비정질기지 복합재의 제조 및 기계적 특성 고찰 (Fabrication and Mechanical Properties of Nanoquasicrystalline Phase Reinforced Ti-based Bulk Metallic Glass Matrix Composites)

  • In-situ quasicrystalline icosahedral (I) phase reinforced Ti-based bulk metallic glass (BMG) matrix composites have been successfully fabricated by using two distinct thermal histories for BMG forming alloy. The BMG composite containing micron-scale Iphase has been introduced by controlling cooling rate during solidification, whereas nano-scale I-phase reinforced BMG composite has been produced by partial crystallization of BMG. For mechanical properties, micron-scale I-phase distributed BMG composite exhibited lower strength and plasticity compared to the monolithic BMG. On the other hand, nano-scale icosahedral phase embedded BMG composite showed enhanced strength and plasticity. These improved mechanical properties were attributed to the multiplication of shear bands and blocking of the shear band propagation in terms of isolation and homogeneous distribution of nanosize icosahdral phases in the glassy matrix, followed by stabilizing the mechanical and deformation instabilities.

Geochemical Evidence for Spatial Paleoproductivity Variations the Northwest Pacific (Shikoku Basin) during the Last Glacial Maximum

  • A geochemical study of three piston cores (ST.4, ST.6 and ST.20) taken from the Northwest Pacific (eastern edge of Shikoku Basin) provides information about changes in surface water paleoproductivity and sedimentation during the last 127 kys. Paleoproductivity variations were estimated on the basis of total organic carbon content and carbonate mass accumulation rate. The paleoproductivity based on total organic carbon shows significant spatial variations between glacial and interglacial periods. During the last glacial maximum (LGM) paleoproductivity increased about 1.5 times with deglaciation decrease compared with those of the Holocene at inner side of the Shikoku Basin (ST.4 and ST.6). On the other hand, paleoproductivity at outer side of Shikoku Basin (ST.20) indicating not distinctive increase but deglaciation increase. The C/N ratios fall below 10 for cores ST.4 and ST.6, but C/N ratios between 100 ka and 80 ka in ST.20 which show around 10 or larger values suggest a predominance of marine organic carbon with some admixture of terrigenous materials. The carbonate mass accumulation rate of three cores show different patterns of calcareous record with respect to organic carbon based paleoproductivity variation. In the inner side of Shikoku Basin (ST.4 and ST.6) the carbonate mass accumulation rate decreased during last glacial maximum, and significant increase of carbonate mass accumulation rate is recognized at outer side of Shikoku Basin (ST.20). Thus, this set of data reveals that spatial paleoproductivity variations between inner and outer side of Shikoku Basin during the glacial and interglacial periods.

  • 본 논문에서는 quasi-Yagi 안테나의 설계에 있어 안테나와 CPS 급전선, 그리고 마이크로스트립-CPS 전이 구조간의 연결을 임피던스 정합에 기초하여 간단히 설계하는 방법을 소개자였다. 결합된 마이크로스트립 선로와 CPS 선로간의 연결은 임피던스 및 필드 정합을 가지는 새롭게 개발된 초광대역 전이 구조를 적용하였고, 급전선과 전이 구조의 광대역 특성으로 인해 간략한 quasi-Yagi 안테나 설계가 가능함을 알 수 있었다. 실제 Ku와 Ka 대역에서 설계된 광대역 quasi-Yagi 안테나는 각각 53.2 %와 29.1 %의 대역폭을 가졌고,$4{\sim}5 dBi$의 안테나 이득을 가졌다. 본 논문에서 제시된 새로운 안테나 설계 방법은 광대역 마이크로파 및 밀리미터파 평형(balanced) 안테나 설계에 응용될 수 있다.

수답에서 2-(4-(6-chloro-2-benz-oxazolyloxy)phenoxy)-N-phenylpropionamide 유도체 중 N-phenyl 치환체들의 제초활성 (Structure activity relationship on the herbicidal activity by the N-phenyl substituents of 2-(4-(6-chloro-2-benzoxazolyloxy)phenoxy)-N-Phenylpropionamide derivatives in down land)

  • 2-(4-(6-chloro-2-benzoxazolyloxy)phenoxy)-N-phenylpropionamide 유도체들의 선택적 제초활성에 관한 연구(성 등, 1999)에 근거하여 수답에서 발아 전(pre-emergence), 벼 (Oryza sativa L.)와 피 (Echinochloa crus-galli)에 대한 제초활성에 미치는 구조-활성과의 관계 (SAR)를 Free-Wilson 방법과 Hansch 방법을 이용하여 정량적으로 검토하였다. SAR 분석결과, 피에 대한 제초활성은 N-phenyl 고리상 meta-치환된 1 치환체와 ortho, para-치환된 2 치환체로서 소수성의 적정값, $({\pi})_{opt.}=1.34$을 가지는 전자 밀게에 의한 장 (F<0) 효과가 영향을 미치는 요소이었다. 벼에 대한 약해를 감소시키는 조건으로는 피의 경우와 같이 meta와 ortho, para-치환된 1- 및 2-치환체인 전자 밀게로서 적정값 $({\pi})_{opt.}=0.91$을 벗어나는 소수성 값을 가져야 한다는 조건이 벼와 피 사이의 선택성에 기여하는 물리-화학적인 요인이었다. 또한, 피의 제초활성은 건답의 경우와 비슷하였으나 벼에 대한 약해는 수답에서 매우 크게 나타남으로써 선택성을 관찰할 수가 없었다. 가수분해는 2-(4-(6-chloro-2-benzoxazolyloxy)phenoxy)propionic acid, (A) (obs. pKa=4.35 및 obs. logP=4.77)와 6-chloro-2- benzoxazol-one (B) obs. pKa=8.40 및 obs. logP=2.90)등을 생성하는 일련의 과정으로 진행되었으며 제초활성은 피보다 벼가 가수분해 생성물인 (A)를 비교적 잘 흡수하기 때문으로 짐작되었다. 그리고 SAR식에 따라 온실내에서 피에 대하여 가장 큰 활성을 나타내는 화합물은 2,6-dimethyl-4-methoxymethyl 치환체 ($pI_{50}=5.41$, 3g/ha)로 예상되었다.

  • KA 101 and Xanthi-Basma were cultivated in Korea and Greece to compare the respective responses to environment and cultivation method on their growth characteristics and some properties of harvested leaves during 1984 and 1985. The contents of clay, calcium, organic matter and pH were higher in the soil of greece than that of Korea. Sunshine hours and precipitation in Greece during harvest and curing season were 8.6 hours per day and 53.3mm compared to that of 3.8 hours per day and 320mm in Korea, respectively. The plant height, leaf size and yield decreased, and days to flower was shorter 8-11 days in greek grown plants. The dehydration and curing process in Greece was linear and rapid due to the constant daily change of temperature and relative humidity with dry weather during curing season during curing season. But those process in Korea was variable and tardy due to rainy weather. Cured leaf ratio increased with upper stalk leaves in Greece but it was rather lower at top stalk position in Korea. The harvested green leaf cultivated in Greece showed higher contents of petroleum ether extract, total nitrogen and nicotine, but lower contents of reducing sugar and lower ratio of protein nitrogen to total nitrogen than in Korea.

  • 오늘날 각종 첨단 정보통신 기술의 급속한 발전과, 초고속 통신망을 통한 PC사용자의 증가로 장소와 시간의 제약없이 웹을 통해 학습할 수 있는 e-Learning 콘텐츠가 활발하게 개발되어 왔다. 학습자가 다양한 사고를 통하여 스스로 지식을 구성할 수 있게 하기 위해서는 개방적인 학습환경 하에 자유롭고 독창적으로 사고하며 실천할 수 있는 기회를 학생들에게 제공해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 e-Learning을 통한 학습의 장점과, 좀 더 효과적인 학습을 위해 협동 학습 모형 중 TGT 모형을 활용한 e-Learning 시스템을 설계하고자 한다. TGT모형의 기본 이론인 경쟁적 게임 방식을 웹 기반으로 구현함으로써 학생들의 실력향상에 도움 될 것으로 기대한다.

한국어 장애음 지각에서의 VOT와 F0의 상관 관계 (The Correlation of VOT and f0 In the Perception of Korean Obstruents)

  • The present thesis examines the correlation of VOT and F0 in the three-way distinction of Korean obstruents, conducting production and perception tests. In the production test, one female native speaker of Korean with a Seoul dialect (the author) recorded 15 repetitions of a monosyllabic word list including /ka, kha, k*a, pa, pha, p*a, ta, tha, t*a, ca, cha, c*a/ in random order, VOT and F0 of the following vowels were measured, and the result was significant for the three-way distinction with a strong correlation between VOT and F0, and also in the VOT-F0 plot, no overlapping among the domains was observed. As for the perception test, I manipulated the data recorded in the production test, heightening or lowering their F0 values. In all, 14 subjects (seven males and seven females) participated in the identification test. The result was as follows: the fortis stimuli were not influenced by F0 changes, and the VOT and F0 values at the lenis-aspirated boundary were negatively correlated. From these results I concluded the following: 1) VOT and F0 can distinguish the three domains of Korean obstruents without overlapping; 2) the fortis perception does not need F0 as its acoustic cue; and 3) VOT and F0 in the distinction between the lenis and aspirated are in the phonetic trading relation[2].

한국 제주도에서 채집된 후기자어에 의한 매퉁이과(Synodontidae) 1미기록종, Synodus kaianus (Günther, 1880) (First Record of Lizardfish, Synodus kaianus (Synodontidae) Based on Postflexion Larva Collected from Jeju Island, Korea)

  • Unidentified postflexion larva (18.57 mm in standard length, SL), belonging to the family Synodontidae was collected from Jeju Island, Korea, in November 2019. Molecular analysis revealed that the unidentified larva was identical to Synodus kaianus adults in mtDNA cytochrome c oxidase subunit I region (Kimura-2-parameter distance, d= 0.006), and was different from the close species S. macrops (d=0.220). The postflexion larva of S. kaianus has the following morphological features: regularly distributed seven peritoneal pigment spots along the alimentary canal; and, intensively distributed stellate melanophores at the middle of the base of caudal fin and behind the last anal fin ray. The postflexion larva of S. kaianus differed from that of S. macrops in snout length and size of peritoneal pigment spots. This is the first record of S. kaianus in Korea, and we suggest the Korean name "Ka-i-ya-kkoch-dong-myeol" for S. kaianus, according to Lee et al. (1999).
