환자 및 보호자로부터 구급대원이 경험한 병원 전 응급의료현장 폭력실태 (From Patients and Caregivers 119 Rescue party's Experiences for Violence in the Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Field)

  • 본 연구는 119 구급대원들이 경험하는 폭력실태와 그에 따른 반응을 조사하기 위해 2009년 1월 1일부터 3월 2일까지 전라북도 지역의 구급대원 226명을 대상으로 설문조사한 결과이다. 첫째, 병원 전 응급의료 현장의 구급대원 모두가 주 1회 이상의 폭력을 경험하고 있으며, 62%의 구급대원이 물리적 폭력에 노출되어 있다. 이러한 폭력발생의 환자측 요인으로는 약물 또는 음주가 56.2%를 차치하였으며, 구급대측 요인으로는 응급의료인력 부족이 36.3%였다. 둘째, 구급대원의 42%가 5년 이내에 폭력예방과 대처방법에 대한 교육 경험이 없으며, 77.4%의 구급대원이 향후 폭력예방과 대처 방법에 대한 교육을 원하였다. 셋째, 폭력반응 점수는 감정적 반응 3.20점, 사회적 반응 2.22점, 신체적 반응 2.17점으로 조사되었고, 전체 폭력 반응의 평균은 2.53점으로 조사되었다. 넷째, 일반적 특성에 따른 폭력 반응 점수는 신체적 반응(t=-2.08, p=.038)과 감정적 반응(t=-7.13, p=.000), 전체반응(t=-4.764, p=.000)에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타냈으며, 연령에 따른 감정적 반응(t=4.257, p=.006)과 전체(t=2.932, p=.034)에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 또한, 현재의 보유 자격별 점수는 사회적 반응(t=3.661, p=.000), 전체(t=8.130, p=.000)에서 유의한 차이를 나타냈고, 소방서별 폭력 반응 점수는 신체적 반응(t=9.987, p=.000), 감정적 반응(t=2.433, p=.012), 사회적 반응(t=6.738, p=.000), 전체(t=5.943, p=.000)에서 유의한 차이를 보였다.

  • To construct road spatial information database, it is the main object of this study that an analysis of road factors and furthermore this is used to the rescue activities in case of urban disasters. When urban disasters such as earthquake or explosion cause fire and collapses people of the affected region happen to evacuate. But only to manage roads and monitor traffic volume, the road data is designed and managed using digital topographic map so it is short that the design of road spatial data to prevent disasters. In this study, we tried to suggest the evaluative factors of evacuation to design database : road width, traffic volume, the fixed or movable obstacles installed, the surrounding environments that dominate the land-use planning, the uses, materials, structures, sizes, and densities of the buildings. Thus, these could provide fundamental data to determine the disasters management planning for evacuation and rescue activities, to evaluate the riskiness, and to draw up hazard information map.

Screening of Cell Cycle-Related Genes of Pleurotus eryngii Using Yeast Mutant Strains

  • Temperature-sensitive yeast mutants were used to screen for cell cycle-related genes from Pleurotus eryngii genomic DNA. A mushroom genomic DNA library was established and each gene was screened for the ability to rescue seven Saccharomyces cerevisiae temperature-sensitive strains. Hundreds of yeast transformants were selected at restrictive temperatures over $30^{\circ}C$. Plasmids from the transformants that survived were isolated and transformed back into their host strains. The temperature sensitivity of the resulting transformants was tested from $30^{\circ}C$ to $37^{\circ}C$. Ten DNA fragments from P. eryngii were able to rescue yeast temperature-sensitive strains, and their DNA sequences were determined.

  • Dithiocarbamates containing polar groups which give very water soluble metal complexes were prepared from the reaction of carbon disulfide with diamines. The compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivity, and spectroscopic results. Dithiocarbamate and its complex were soluble in water. N, N-Dimethylammoniumpropylenedithiocarbamate(A) is clearly effective as inhibition of cis-platinum nephrotoxicity in rats. From the result of A rescue after cis-dichlorodiammineplatinum(II) treatment, it is suggested that dithiocarbamate removes platinum(II) coordinated to -SH groups bound to protein of kidney tubule cells by the reaction of platinum(II) with dithiocarbamate injected. A is effective as antidots for acute cadmium poisoning in Bacillus subtills. Growth of Bacillus subtills may be accelerated by A ligand dissociated from cadmium (II)-A complex.

  • The Sundt encircling clip was developed to repair defects of the vessel wall. With the advent of microvascular techniques, most parts of the damaged vessel wall during aneurysm surgery can be repaired by primary closure or by the bypass technique. However, these methods are not always successful. Here, we illustrate two cases of surgical clipping with the Sundt encircling clip in the ruptured internal carotid artery trunk aneurysm. The Sundt clip provides prompt control of unexpected tearing of the vessel wall or aneurysm and plays an important role in vascular rescue during aneurysm surgery.

  • 최근 우리나라 수역에서는 입출항 선박 및 주변해역을 통항하는 선박의 교통량이 꾸준히 증가하고 있고, 또 해상레저활동이 활발해지면서 해양사고의 개연성이 커지고, 이에 따른 인명$\cdot$재산 피해의 규모도 크게 증대될 것으로 예상된다. 이에 따라 본고에서는 해양사고 발생시 인명$\cdot$재산 피해를 최소화하기 위한 국제적 움직임과 선진해양국 수색구조시스템 및 우리나라의 수색구조시스템을 조사, 비교함으로써 우리나라의 해상수색구조시스템의 효율적 운영 방안을 제시하고자 하였다.

Successful Treatment of Lead Poisoning in a Whooper Swan (Cygnus cygnus) and a Cinereous Vulture (Aegypius monachus) in Korea

  • We described the successful treatment of cases of lead poisoning in a Whooper swan (Cygnus cygnus) and a Cinereous vulture (Aegypius monachus) in Korea. The swan and vulture rescued were diagnosed with lead poisoning based on clinical signs, the presence of suspected lead-like particles in the ventriculus detected by radiography and elevated blood lead levels. Endoscopic retrieval for the swan and gastric lavage for the vulture were used to remove the lead respectively. After the removal of lead particles, a course of chelation treatment was administrated. This would be the first report of successfully treating wild birds with lead poisoning in Korea.

  • In this paper, we studied Automated External Defibrillator and Electro- Cardiogram System. Proposed System, CU-EX1, is a PC-based AED/ECG system that manages the data acquired by Paramedic CU-ER1. The system controls the transfer of data from the Paramedic CU-ER1 and the storage of the data in a local host computer. Patient data could be entered as soon as the rescue data is stored in a local computer. The system also displays the data on a local computer and facilitates review of rescue events.

  • In designing smoke-control system of rescue station in train tunnel, a purpose is to prevent a disaster by proposing the jet fan operation together with smoke-control curtain in tunnel fire. This study has investigated the relationship of the Heat Release Rate(HRR) and a adequate ventilation velocity to control the fire propagation in tunnel fire, and has improved the effect of the smoke-control curtain on preventing the flow of pollutants. In this study, Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) simulations with ST AR-CD(ver 3.24) were carried out on predicting the fire spreading and the flow of pollutants, considering jet fan operations and effect of smoke-control curtain. Our simulation domain is the full scale model of the 'DAEGWALLYEONG' 1st tunnel. The results represent that ventilation operation can control the fire spreading and pollutants effectively to prevent a disaster.
