For study methods, in-depth interview was conducted on 9 mothers residing in Seoul and the approach from phenomenological methodology by Colaizzi was used. As a result, 69 significant statements were deduced as well as 21 themes, 10 theme clusters, and 4 categories. These main categories include experiences of accepting atopic dermatitis as a reality, family management style for overcoming atopic dermatitis, reality of facing chronic fatigue, and hope and expectation for the child's health. Our study show that the intervention for improving family management style regarding atopic dermatitis is required including the enhancement of the mothers' quality of life and the recovery of family relationship.

Data were collected from October to December, 2018 and a total of 159 male nursing students participated in this study. The results showed that the gender role conflict was 2.75±0.62, the military service planing was 4.99±1.30, and the major satisfaction was 3.90±0.58. Gender role conflict, military service planing and major satisfaction have no significant correlation. This is inconsistent with the preceding study and requires replication study. Also it is necessary to develop an arbitration program that can form positive relationships with girls in order to reduce gender role conflict among male nursing students.

  • This study examined the job experience of visiting supervisors for multicultural families. To achieve the goal of this study, data was collected by in-depth interviews with 7 visiting supervisors for multicultural families. For an analysis of the data, the grounded theory approach by Strauss and Corbin [11] was employed. The results of an analysis of the categories are detailed below. Through an open coding process, a total of 124 concepts, 33 subcategories, and 13 categories were produced. The central phenomenon was 'uncertain employment '. From the axial coding, the causal conditions were 'employment for economic reasons' and 'frequent policy and regulation changes'. The contextual conditions were 'uneasiness about the evaluation result', 'unilateral work instruction system', and 'little improvement of treatment'. Intervention conditions were 'high level of satisfaction with work', 'handy source of income', and 'no other alternative'. Action/interaction strategies were 'efforts for contract extension' and 'receptive attitude'. The consequences were 'hope to retain employment' and 'agonizing over their rights'.

The major variables including hope, resilience, optimism, self-efficacy, academic adaptation, social adaptation, personal emotional adaptation, and university environment adaptation all showed significant positive correlations. Among the influential factors of positive psychological capital on college life adaptation, academic adaptation and social adaptation showed significant differences in optimism(p<.001) and self-efficacy(p<.001), while personal emotional adaptation and university environment adaptation showed significant differences in optimism(p<.001). Therefore, it is necessary to develop intervention programs that can improve positive psychological capital and apply them systematically to the educational field.

The 3 session(20-40 min/one day) the breastfeeding spouses education program was developed and a non-equivalent control group quasi-experiment design was used. Sixty-three participants were assigned to either the experimental group (n=32) or the control group (n=31). A pre-test and post-test were done to identify the effect of the program. Effects were tested using $x^2$-test, t-test. Scores for breast-feeding self-efficacy(t=3.44, p=.001), spouse support(t=3.03, p=.004) and breast-feeding satisfaction(t=3.64, p=.001) of the experimental group after program were significantly higher than the control group scores. The effects of the couple breast-feeding education program for elevating breast-feeding self-efficacy, spouse support and breast-feeding satisfaction of primipara were validated. Therefore, this program can be recommended for vigorous use in clinical practice.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between depression and communication skills and clinical practice stress among college nursing students. This study targeted 208 nursing college seniors in B city who have experience in clinical practice. Data were collected from September 1-30 2017 and were analyzed using descriptive analyses, t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and Stepwise multiple regression with the SPSS WIN 21.0 program. The average score of communication skills was 3.73, the score of depression was 2.36, and the score of clinical practice stress was 2.88. Significant differences were found in clinical practice stress depending on gender (p=0.002), age (p=0.048), grade (p=0.001), satisfaction with college life (p<0.001), satisfaction with major (p=0.002), desired course (p=0.002), and satisfaction with clinical practice (p<0.001). Clinical practice stress was negatively related to communication skills (r=-0.17, p=0.016) and positively related to depression (r=0.37, p<0.001). Depression, satisfaction with clinical practice, grade, sex and religion had a high explanation rate of 26.9%, indicating that they were meaningful variables that influenced clinical practice stress. Overall, to decrease clinical practice stress among nursing students, it is necessary to develop an intervention program that can prevent and mitigate depression and improve communication skills.

  • This study examined the effects of a multifaceted intervention program on the psychological condition, empowerment, work readiness, and functional capacity for job performance of industrially injured workers. Twelve injured workers in C hospital were included in this study. The subjects participated in a social rehabilitation program 2 hours a day, twice a week, for 8 weeks in total, as well as a work hardening program 3 to 4 hours a day, 5 times a week, for 8 weeks in total. The study was conducted from March to September, 2017. A multi-dimensional psychological examination, empowerment scale, work readiness interview and functional capacity evaluation were conducted and the test scores compared before and after the program with the Wilcoxon signed rank test. In the multi-dimensional psychological examination, there were significant differences in the levels of anxiety, depression, lack of social support, and somatization symptoms (p<.05) except anger. The participants also showed significant differences in the empowerment scale, work readiness scale, and functional capacity evaluation. This study suggests that a multifaceted intervention program can be effective in improving the psychologic condition, empowerment, work readiness, and functional capacity of industrially injured workers and, in turn, may improve their rate of returning to work.

  • This study was undertaken to identify ways that enable a successful comeback to everyday life and improvement in the quality of life, by understanding the experiences of cancer survivors in returning to everyday life. Totally, 19 people diagnosed with complete cure after 5 years of cancer treatment, were recruited for the study. Data was collected through in-depth interviews from January 18 to February 25, 2017. One-time interviews took 90 to 120 minutes, and data analysis was achieved by applying the grounded theory. The central phenomenon of 'reality that cannot be escaped' and 'uncertain reality that cannot know tomorrow' was attributed to the causal conditions 'hard reality', 'physical exhaustion', 'psychological exhaustion' and 'economic exhaustion'. Depending on context conditions such as 'lack of family support', 'shift to a vulnerable working class', 'insufficient support system', 'hope for the societal support system', 'daunted gender', 'prejudice against cancer/cancer patients', 'information on life after rare full healing'. The strategy for a successful return was influenced by intervention conditions such as 'robust family fence' and 'effective cancer insurance', which resulted in 'building a new life' or 'enduring'. We conclude that for a successful return to daily lives, cancer survivors require comprehensive information, health and social-welfare interventions.
