Optimal feed compositon of pressure swing distillation system to separate methanol and acetone (메탄올-아세톤 분리를 위한 압력 변환 증류 공정에서 환류를 통한 유입 조성 최적화)

  • In this research, the composition of the feed stream is optimized in pressure swing distillation for separating of methanol-acetone. It is well known that the composition of feed stream in pressure swing distillation system has a great influence on the feasibility to separate mixture. The workscope of this study is to show better separation efficiency at specified pressure by controlling the composition of feed stream with recycle of two products. Based on the base case without recycle flow, two processes are designed that methanol and acetone are recycled to feed stream, respectively. Each processes are compared with total annual cost and as a result, the base case without recycle flow are most favorable.

  • 혼류생산을 위한 반도체 웨이퍼 제조라인 중 엣칭공정의 생산운영대안의 평가를 위한 시뮬레이션 기반의 분석시스템의 개발사례를 소개한다. 엣칭공정의 공정특성 및 작업흐름을 소개하고 생산운영을 위한 의사결정 문제를 설명한다. 생산운영대안의 평가 및 비교를 위해서는 시뮬레이션 모델을 활용한다. 웨이퍼의 회로계층의 수만큼 일련의 제조공정을 반복하는 반복방문 방식의 작업흐름 특성 때문에 생기는 타 공정성과 연관성을 반영하되 엣칭공정의 작업흐름에 초점을 맞추기 위해 엣칭공정 이외의 타공정을 단순화시키는 모델링기법을 사용하였다. 엣칭베이내의 복잡한 작업흐름 및 장비운영제약 조건등을 모델링하기 위해 활용한 객체지향방식의 모델링기법의 적용사례를 소개한다.

A Study on Reliability Flow Diagram Development of Chemical Process Using Directed Graph Analysis Methodology (유향그래프 분석기법을 이용한 화학공정의 신뢰도흐름도 개발에 관한 연구)

  • There are PFD(Process Flow Diagram) and P&ID(Piping and Instrument Diagram) for designing and managing chemical process efficiently. They provide the operation condition and equipment specifications of chemical process, but they do not provide the reliability of chemical process. Therefore, in this study, Reliability Flow Diagram(RFD) which provide the cycle and time of preventive maintenance has been developed using Directed Graph Analysis methodology. Directed Graph Analysis methodology is capable of assessing the reliability of chemical process. It models chemical process into Directed Graph with nodes and arcs and assesses the reliability of normal operation of chemical process by assessing Directed Graph sequential. In this paper, the chemical process reliability transition according to operation time was assessed. And then, Reliability Flow Diagram has been developed by inserting the result into P&ID. Like PFD and P&ID, Reliability Flow Diagram provide valuable and useful information for the design and management of chemical process.

  • Research on the flow shop model has mainly been centered around periodic tasks scheduling. In this paper, we present an algorithm using synthetic utilization that can check the schedulability of aperiodic local tasks and aperiodic end-to-end tasks with precedence relation in the flow shop model. If the scheduling algorithm for aperiodic end-to-end tasks executed in the multiple stage pipeline is applied to the flow shop model, sometimes the actually schedulable tasks are decided to be not schedulable because of the fact that the actually unschedulable tasks are decided to be schedulable. The algorithm presented in this paper solves the problem, and the simulation shows that the schedulability increases 10%.

  • Many researchers have recommended that DBR scheduling would be an efficient method to maintain the balance of their workload among many processes in the general flow shop. However, as product variety has increased in recent years, the process has become more complex and requires the re-entrance of raw materials and work in process. The re-entrant line has known for the complex manufacturing process that raw materials are repeatedly processed on the same machine. This study reviews the applicability of DBR against the re-entrant manufacturing line due to the distinguishing characteristics and the higher complexity caused by multiple visits of a job into the identical process. In order to apply the DBR method to the re-entrant process, the main idea is to reconstruct re-entrant process into a virtual flow process(loop) that has a single bottleneck. This study discusses the following two questions. First, DBR is also superior to traditional scheduling methods against re-entrant manufacturing line. And how we structure and detect the system bottleneck (or sub-bottleneck) through drum-buffer-rope concepts. To answer the above questions, we experimented and analyzed the effects of the applicability of DBR under the general re-entrant process model(TRC, Technology Research Center). As a result, we have identified a balance between loops for cycle time and work in process.

  • 논문은 병렬 설비로 이루어진 다수의 단계를 포함하는 재방문이 있는 혼합흐름공정의 계획 문제를 다룬다. 재방문작업에서 제품은 몇몇 공정을 여러 번 방문하게 되고 이로 인하여 재공의 혼잡과 장비의 유휴의 원인이 된다. 이 상황에서는 생산성과 고객 만족도를 향상 시키는 것이 중요한 이슈이다. 따라서 본 논문은 혼합흐름공정에서 스루풋을 최대화하고 지연된 고객 수요를 최소화하기 위해 우선순위 목표계획법 기반의 휴리스틱 방법들을 제안한다. 그리고 이 휴리스틱 방법은 이전 문헌에서 제시된 방법과 비교하여 성능을 비교하였다.

A Simulation Study on Capacity Planning in Reentrant Hybrid Flowshops (재투입이 존재하는 혼합흐름공정의 용량계획에 관한 시뮬레이션 연구)

  • In this study, we consider a capacity planning problem of reentrant hybrid flowshops. High-tech electronic products such as semiconductor or TFT-LCD, are produced from manufacturing systems which can be considered as reentrant hybrid flowshops. In the considered capacity planning problem, we determine the number of machines at each stage in the manufacturing system. We introduce criteria indicating which stage needs additional machines or which stage needs reduction of machines considering the characteristics of the product types and the manufacturing system. The objective function of the problem is maximizing throughput rate of the system, of which values are obtained from the simulation model depicting the hybrid flowshops. The performance of the proposed methods were evaluated through a series of computational experiments. The simulation model was also used for conducting the comparison experiments among the proposed method and benchmarks.

  • By using simulation, fixed location production method and flow production method have been compared to improve the productivity of deckhouse preceding outfitting process. In this paper, we analyze that the suggested flow production system instead of fixed location production can improve productivity. In current preceding outfit production system which adopts fixed location production, where a block occupies an area and does not move until the work finishes. On the other hand, in improved flow production system, the block moves instead of workers and equipment. Though the output of two systems are almost the same when we did not consider the moving time and waiting time of blocks, the flow production will be better when the variability of task time will be reduced.

  • The purpose of this study is to present an improvement of the form work process. The current slab form work has waste factor by unnecessary process and not complete integration with the finishing process. Therefore the study used value stream analysis methodology for effective improvement of slab form work process. The main contents of the study are as follows; 1) Understanding of non-value adding activities in existing slab form work process 2) Process integration by value stream mapping 3) Effect analysis of time-cost reduction. The study recommends that, as a future research, development of tool and technique for the non-value adding activities are eliminated in building construction.

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 인터넷상에서의 멀티캐스트 프로토콜의 충돌 없는 전개를 위 절대적으로 필요한 혼잡 제어의 주요 특징을 집어 본다. 혼잡 제어시 반드시 고려되어야 할 사항은 성능(Throughtput)과 공정성(Fairness)이다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 TCP기반 흐름과 멀티캐스트 그룹기반 흐름간의 상호 공정성(Intra- Fairness)과 멀태스트 그룹내의 흐름간의 공정성(Intra- Fairness)를 지원하기 위해 수반되는 문제점들에 대해서 이해한다. 전자의 경우, 흔히 TCP-friendly 제어라 하여 많이 연구가 진행중에 있다. 이에 본 논문은 후자에 문제의 초점을 맞춰, 관련 문제를 이해, 분석해 보도록 한다.
