Stimulation for Rapid Settlement of the Larvae of the Marine Echiuran Urechis unicinictus (개불, Urechis unicinctus 유생의 빠른 착저를 위한 유인물질)

  • Trochopore larvae of U. unicinctus were exposed to selected settlement stimuli. Within 5 - 10 min after addition of the UM, the settlement stimuli derived from the skin of adult echiuran, induced metamorphosis of trochopores to pelagosphera. However, the trochopores did not positively respond for settlement, when stimulated with normal sea water, sticky fluid drawn from Tegillarca granosa or blood of U. unicinctus. The thermo-sensitive UM was relatively stable at ambient temperature, but was destroyed at 70$^{\circ}$.

  • 자동차 산업에 있어서 반도체 기술발전과 더불어 차량 내 기능들이 효율성, 경제성 및 친환경적인 관심을 고려하여 기계식 방식에서 전력전자식 방식으로 대체되고 있는 실정이다. 엔진의 연비를 향상시키기 위해서는 엔진의 연소효율을 개선하거나, 엔진에서 발생되는 손실을 줄이는 것이 필요한데, VVA(Variable Valve Actuation, 가변 밸브 작동) 기술은 엔진 흡기 유동 강화, 펌핑 손실 저감, 기계적 마찰 손실 저감등을 통해 엔진의 연비를 향상시킬 수 있다. 또한 VVA 엔진을 장착한 차량은 차량의 발진 응답성이 향상되고, 배기가스 배출량을 줄일 수 있어 친환경 저연비 차량을 실현하는데 핵심 차량부품기술이다. 최근까지 차량의 전동기 구동의 경우 DC모터 방식이 많이 적용되어 왔으나 DC모터의 내구성 및 효율 등의 이유로 BLDC모터로 바뀌고 있는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 VVA 기구의 적용을 위하여 BLDC모터 제어기를 개발하였다.

A Case of Operational Efficiency Improvement in EPS Motor Manufacturing Process Using IE Technique (IE 기법을 활용한 EPS 모터 제조공정의 운영효율성 향상 사례)

  • This paper proposes a procedure to improve the operational efficiency of the automotive parts manufacturing process by applying classical IE techniques composed of process analysis, work method analysis, and motion analysis, and a specific application case is outlined. The proposed procedure was developed originally by the Task Force organized in L company's automotive parts manufacturing business unit. The balance efficiency and production capacity were used as measures of operational efficiency. The developed procedure follows the general procedure of analyzing the phenomenon at the manufacturing shop, deriving an improvement solution to solve the problem, evaluating each derived alternative, and implementing it to the field to achieve productivity improvement. Among the methods used in each phase of the procedure, function analysis used in the waste discovery phase and R&R evaluation method used in the alternative assessment phase are unique techniques developed by L company's TF. The R&R Evaluation method techniques are described in detail because this method is highly applicable and extensible. A case of applying developed procedures to improve the EPS motor manufacturing process is discussed. As a result, the line balance efficiency and production capacity were increased to a satisfactory level.

A Study on the Evaluation of Logistics Efficiency in 22 cities of Guangxi and Yunnan (광서성 및 운남성 22개 도시의 물류 효율성 평가에 관한 연구)

  • The logistics industry is a basic and strategic industry that supports the development of national economy and society. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the logistics efficiency of 22 cities in Guangxi and Yunnan provinces in China, and to grasp the problems and constraints and present policy proposals to promote the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure in Guangxi and Yunnan provinces. In this paper, five input indexes and four output indexes were selected and the data from 2016 to 2018 were analyzed through DEA method. According to the analysis, the logistics efficiency of Guangxi and Yunnan provinces is not bad overall, but the development of each region is not balanced and the level of logistics efficiency is quite different. And it is found that each city needs to further improve the level of scale because the input and production structure of logistics resources is unreasonable. The limitation of this study is that it is difficult to generalize the analysis results because only the data over the past three years have been analyzed. It is necessary to comprehensively implement longitudinal and transverse analyses by extending the future analysis period over a long period of time.

  • The trade volume of Northeast Asian countries is increasing and with the advent of the 4th revolutionary era, minimizing the logistics costs of firm is becoming an important competitive factor. With respect to this, in 2006, the government introduced a certified Integrated logistics firm system to improve the competitiveness of local logistics firms and reduce the logistics costs of firms. They argued that the certified Integrated logistics firm system increased the reliability of logistics firms and increased the efficiency of the logistics industry. On the other side, they argue that the system puts a burden on firms and becomes a big business-oriented market consolidation. This study analyzed the efficiency of Warehousing firms using DEA model. The CCR, BBC efficiency and RTS (return to scale) of 15 Warehousing firms were evaluated. This study also suggested the Warehousing firms which can be benchmarked based on analyzed information.

An Analysis of the Educational Gap between Local Governments : An Application of Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) (교육효율성 측면에서의 지방자치단체 간 교육격차의 비교·분석 : 자료포락분석(DEA) 기법의 적용)

  • The aim of this paper is to analyze the educational gap between 250 local governments, by their location and size, in terms of the efficiency of education. For the analysis, this paper employed the data envelopment analysis(DEA), which can consider input and output factors simultaneously, as a research method. Input factor included student number per teacher, student number per class, student number per staff, and donation fund per student, whereas college entrance rate and employment rate were used as output factor. The data were collected through 'the school information' website. Research target was confined to high schools, taking into consideration the variables used for output factor. As a result of analysis, while the high schools in local governments around the capital area showed the high density of students in terms of input factor, college entrance rate and employment rate were higher in the high schools of non-capital area. An efficiency score was also higher in the schools of the non-capital area in both aspects of BCC and CCR models. By the size of local governments, high schools in agricultural-type and small-sized local governments were higher in the efficiency of education, compared to those in populated local governments.

  • Coastal ports play an essential role in developing a country and a city. Port efficiency is an important factor affecting port trade, and the importance of port efficiency for port performance has been recognized in previous literature. DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) and SFA (Stochastic Frontier Analysis) are widely used in this field of research. However, these two methods are limited in selecting input and output variables. In addition, the literature studies on Chinese coastal ports mainly focus on the study of port clusters in local areas, which lacks a holistic approach and generally lacks up-to-date data. Therefore, to fill the gap in this area of research, this paper introduces a model combining principal component analysis and data envelopment analysis to analyze the operational efficiency of the top 17 coastal ports in China in terms of throughput based on the most recent data available in 2021. This paper identifies container throughput as the output variable, and 13 second indicators are selected as input variables from four primary indicators: land, capital, labor, and infrastructure. Four principal components were selected from 13 second indicators using PCA.After that, DEA (BBC) and DEA (CCR) were used to analyze the 17 ports, among which five were Shanghai, Ningbo-Zhoushan, Guangzhou, Xiamen, and Dongguan, respectively, DEA efficient, and the remaining 12 ports were non-DEA efficient. Finally, improvement directions for each port are derived, and brief suggestions are made. This paper provides some reference value for developing and constructing coastal ports in China.

IDC의 에너지 효율화지수 활용현황에 관한 고찰

  • IDC의 에너지 효율화 측정지수로 IDC 전체 전력 중 ICT장비에 사용한 전력의 비율을 지수화 한 PUE가 활용되고 있다. PUE는 IDC 운영자 및 관리자가 신속하게 현재의 IDC의 에너지 사용에 대한 효율성을 파악하여 에너지 효율 향상에 대한 목표수립을 가능하게 한다. 아직까지 국가적으로 명확한 IDC 에너지 효율화 기준이 없는 우리나라의 대형 IDC를 중심으로 그린그리드의 PUE를 내부 관리지표로 사용하고 있으나 적용 기준이 IDC 전용 데이터센터 위주로 작성되어 있어서 IDC 이외의 용도가 복합적으로 구성되어 있는 우리나라 IDC의 PUE를 객관적으로 측정할 수 있는 표준 마련이 시급한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 IDC 에너지 사용 측정방법과 PUE 구조 및 활용 현황에 대하여 기술하였다. 본 연구는 IDC의 에너지 효율화 측정에 활용할 수 있으며, 향후 제정될 국가적인 IDC 에너지 효율화 지수에 활용될 수 있다.
