There have been many methods for measuring the injection rate of diesel engines, but the results of them are not always identical and the reason for the discordance is not clear. Besides, a single shot injection equipment has been used for the fuel spray and the combustion research of diesel engines, but the results of experiment using the equipment don't apply to a volleyed shot injection of real engines. This paper investigates the merits and faults of the Bosch's method and the Zeuch's method, at the same, this paper also compares the injection rates of single shot inject rates of single shot injection and a volleyed shot injected by the Bosch's method. the results are summarized as follows: (1) The measurement error of the Bosch's method is about $\pm$1%, therefore, its accuracy is reliable. (2) By the Bosch's method, as the speed and the load of fuel pump increase, the injection rate becomes higher, on the contrary, the injection period(ms) shortens as the speed increases and the load decreases. (3) In this experiment, the injection rate of a single shot injection is lower than that of a volleyed shot injection under the same conditions. (4) The bulk modulus of elasticity using the Zeuch's method increases in proportion to the back pressure. (5) The Zeuch's method is less accurate than the Bosch's method.
The Danyang area consists of the thrust and folded sedimentary rocks of Paleozoic and Mesozoic Era. The area is bounded by major tectonic units which are the Gagdong Thrust to the west and the Okdong Fault to the east. According to the structural analyses, the area is affected by polyphase deformation. This study establishes deformational sequence in the area. Mylonite zone along the Okdong Fault corresponds to the first generation of structures ($D_1$). $D_1$-structures are discrete shear zone in the Jangsan Formation and bedding parallel extensional deformation in the Cambro-Ordovician sequences. $D_2$-structures were formed prior to the sedimentation of the Jurassic Bansong Group, which are the NW-trending fold and linear structures. After sedimentation of the Bansong Group, the area is strongly affected by the Daebo Orogeny which produces NE-trending thrusts, folds and linear structures. Earlier structures were tightened and rotated toward NE. Some thrust faults did not propagate into the Bansong Group. It is suggested either the Bansong Group acted as a decoupling horizon or rest on unconformably on the thrust faults. The area is weakly affected by $D_4$-event of which structures are E-W trending folds and faults. The Jugryeong Fault clearly cut the earlier folds and thrust faults. The rocks within the fault zone were sliced and rotated during the strike-slip movements. Block rotation and transpressional features can be commonly observed.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical results of arthroscopic biceps long head suprapectoral tenodesis using an interference screw. Materials and Methods: We reviewed the cases of 30 patients who underwent arthroscopic biceps long head suprapectoral tenodesis using an interference screw between January 2008 and January 2010. The minimum follow up period was one year. Twenty patients had rotator cuff tears. The results were analyzed by VAS, ASES, tenderness in the bicipital groove, fixation failure, and the degree of deformity. Results: VAS, ASES scores showed a statistically significant increase during the final observation in all patients, compared with those before surgery. However, five patients (17%) had anterior shoulder pain and tenderness in the biceps groove, and three patients (10%) had Popeye deformity. Better results were achieved in patients without rotator cuff tear than in patients with rotator cuff tear (p<0.05). Conclusion: Arthroscopic biceps long head tenodesis above the pectoralis major using an interference screw in patients with a pathologic lesion of the proximal biceps tendon showed good results at the last follow up. However, further study for tenderness in the biceps groove in 17% of patients is needed.

In this paper, the problem of a double-parked car has been investigated and a method to solve it is studied. Double parking is very common in a public parking lot with insufficient parking space. If a double-parked car blocked the way, a person needs to push the double-parked car to move it. The problem is that moving a double-parked car with hands is very hard and dangerous, especially for the old and the weak. To solve the above mentioned problem, an automatic mover for a double-parked car is proposed and developed. The basic idea is that a double-parked car can be moved by rolling its one wheel. Two rollers are designed and manufactured, which are used to roll a wheel of a double-parked car. The developed automatic mover has two rollers, two driving wheels, and four castors. It also has several ultrasonic sensors so that it can detect obstacles in the way and prevent possible collision. It is verified through several experiments that the developed automatic mover can move a double-parked car safely and easily.

Purpose: To evaluate the differences between blindly and ultrasonography (US)-guided during multiple needling and dextrose injection technique for calcific tendinitis of shoulder. Materials and Methods: We chose 36 symptomatic calcific tendinitis patients, whose age ranged from 27 to 69. Our procedures were multiple needling and injection of dextrose over the lesion of calcific deposits. The bind injection group were 19 patients whose age ranged from 27 to 64-year-old (mean 52.2), and the US-guided injection group were 17 patients ranged from 31 to 69-year-old (mean 49.0). We compare these groups by VAS (visual analogue scale) and range of motion before and after procedures. Results: There is no difference between two groups in VAS and ROM before procedure (p>0.05). Two groups revealed significant improvement without limitation of shoulder function, however, the group under US-guided revealed better results than under blind (VAS:p=0.001, Flexion:p=0.000, Abduction:p=0.000, External rotation: p=0.016). Conclusion: Ultrasonography-guided procedure showed better results than blind, so the use of ultrasonography is more promising procedure.

The flow characteristics around KRISO 3600TEU container ship model have been experimentally investigated in a circulating water channel. The instantaneous velocity vectors were measured using 2-frame PIV measurement system. The mean velocity fields and turbulent statistics including turbulent kinetic energy and vorticity were obtained by ensemble-averaging 400 instantaneous velocity fields. The free stream velocity was fixed at 0.6m/s and the corresponding Reynolds number was $9{\times}10^5$. The test sections were divided into two regions, three transverse sections of the wake region(Station -0.5767, -1, -3) and five longitudinal sections of the wake((Z/(B/2)=0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6). In the wake region, large-scale longitudinal vortices of nearly same strength are symmetric with respect to the wake centerline and a relatively weak secondary vortex is formed near the waterline. With going downstream, the strength of longitudinal vortex is decreased and the wake region expands.

Purpose: The authors investigated whether 35 flexible nail-rotating hinge composite reconstructions around knee joint minimize junctional osteolysis of host bone. Material and Method: The reconstructive technique was as follows: 1) en bloc tumor resection, 2) filling of the host bone marrow cavity with multiple Ender nails, 3) assembling the Ender nails and an Endo-Link type total knee component with wire and bone cement. Result: Mean follow-up was 53 months (ranged 30~79). At final follow-up, 29 patients retained a mobile joint. Resection of more than 40% of bone showed a positive relationship with junctional hypertrophy (p=0.028). Eight patients showed nail breakage and eight prostheses were removed due to early or late infection. The cumulative prosthetic survival rate was 33% at 6 year. Average functional score according to the MSTS criteria was 26.8. Conclusion: Mid-term evaluations showed that results were fair. The revision process was straightforward. Junctional hypertrophy observed appears to give some clues as to how to minimize osteolysis at the prosthesis-host junction after modular prosthesis fixation.

Seismic design codes are mainly based on the research results for the inelastic response of structures in high seismicity regions. Since wind loads and gravity loads may govern the design in low seismicity regions in many cases, structures subjected to design seismic loads will have larger overstrength compared to those of high seismicity regions. Therefore, it is necessary to verify if the response modification factor based on high seismicity would be adequate for the design of structures in low seismicity regions. In this study, the adequacy of the response modification factor was verified based on the ductility and overstrength of building structures estimated from the result of nonlinear static analysis. Framed structures are designed for the seismic zones 1, 2A, 4 in UBC-97 representing the low, moderated and high seismicity regions and the overstrength factors and ductility demands of the example structures are investigated. When the same response modification factor was used in the design, inelastic response of structures in low seismicity regions turned out to be much smaller than that in high seismicity regions because of the larger overstrength of structures in low seismicity regions. Demands of plastic rotation in connections and ductility in members were much lower in the low seismicity regions compared to those of the high seismicity regions when the structures are designed with the same response modification factor.
Purpose: We wanted to evaluate the results of arthroscopic management of an isolated rupture of the subscapularis tendon using suture anchors. Materials and Methods: Twenty nine patients with unilateral ruptures of the subscapularis tendon and who underwent arthroscopic repair between February 2001 and October 2007 were reviewed prospectively. All the cases were isolated tears of the subscapularis without the involvement of any other rotator cuff tendon. In 19 patients the tear was localized to the superior one third, in 7 cases the tear was localized to the upper two thirds and the entire tendon was involved in 3 cases. The mean follow up period was 12.2 months (range: 6-26 months). The results of the treatment were assessed by evaluating the constant shoulder score and the pain score before surgery and after surgery. Results: The constant shoulder score improved from $49.9\pm7.3$ to $73.8\pm3.0$ points compared to before surgery and the pain score improved from $4.3\pm3.2$ to $11.2\pm3.0$ points postoperatively. Conclusion: Arthroscopic repair of isolated ruptures of the subscapularis tendon using suture anchors is a good option for effectively managing these tears.

Tides at both of northern and southern entrances of Kamag Bay were compared by deploying tide gauges for 18 days during July-August 1994. To examine the response of the inner bay to the tidal waves through both entrances, a current meter was moored at the eastern pan of the inner bay. Current meter mooring failed at the northern entrance (Yosu) while the current data was collected for only 5 days at the southern site (Songdo). Maximum range was 357 and 352 cm at Yosu and Songdo, respectively. Respective amplitudes for M2, S2 Kl O1 tides of 95.5, 48.8, 20.5, 14.0cm at Yosu and 93.6, 47.2, 21.3, 13.1cm at Songdo yielded the form numbers of 0.23 and 0.24, respectively, both of which belong to the predominantly semidiurnal tide, Contributions from the overtides and compound tides were less than $4\%^ at both sites. Differences in Greenwich phase of major partial tides between two sites were negligible. Maximum speed of tidal current was about 100cm/sec at the southern entrance and about 40cm/sec at the inner bay. Residual current speed was 17cm/sec southwestward at the southern entrance and 0.9cm/sec southeastward at the inner bay. Temporal change in current at the inner bay showed that the wind had a significant influence upon the circulation in Kamag Bay.
