Generation of Gate-level Models Equivalent to Verilog UDP Library (Verilog UDP Library의 등가 게이트수준 모델 생성)

  • UDP library of Verilog HDL has been used for simulation of digital systems. But it takes a lot of time and efforts to generate a gate-level library equivalent to the UDP library manually due to the characteristic of UDP that does not support synthesis. It is indispensable to generate equivalent gate-level model in testing the digital systems because fault coverage can be reduced without the equivalent gate-level models. So, it is needed to automate the process of generating the equivalent gate-level models. An algorithm to solve this problem has been proposed, but it is unnecessarily complex and time-consuming. This paper suggests a new improved algorithm to implement the conversion to gate-level models, which exploits the characteristic of UDP Experimental results are demonstrated to show the effectiveness of the new algorithm.

  • Product factory is a real-time financial product design system for the Internet customers. The hybrid product is a product taking combined characteristics of two different products. Hybrid product factory is a product factory that designs hybrid products from two different products based on both business rules and customer requirements. Though the importance of product factory is emphasized in the industry, there has not been much research peformed regarding product factory. In this research, we developed a product factory system that designs hybrid products. To design a hybrid product, it is necessary to have a method to combine attributes and values of two different products, and a method to control the combining operations to properly reflect business requirements. In this research, we developed low different combining operators and business rule representations. rn addition, to prove the effectiveness of this methods, we implemented a prototypical system and demonstrated on cases regarding financial loan products.

  • Service science is a new application area that implements services in an interdisciplinary area of management, economics, and engineering. Service systems provide functionalities of traditional software systems, moreover the functionalities are more intellectual in that they require dynamic context awareness, analysis, and decision making based on the recognized and analyzed contexts. However, conventional software development approaches do not sufficiently provide methods to model the service requirements and to design service-intensive systems. Therefore, there is a great demand on effective methodologies for developing service systems. In this paper, we compare traditional software systems with service-intensive systems in order to identify characteristics of the service systems. And, we propose a step-wise process to model service systems, in terms of architecture, components, and workflows. Then, we show a case study on an emergency handling system which is a type of living assistant systems. We believe that the proposed approach can be used in developing high-quality service systems effectively.

The Study on Design of Circuit Card Assembly on Servo Control Unit for Automated Resupply Vehicle K56 (K56 탄약운반장갑차용 서보제어기의 회로카드조립체 설계에 관한 연구)

  • This paper describes the design of the circuit card assembly to eliminate the communication error on a servo control unit installed in the automated resupply vehicle K56. K56 is a weapon system that automates the supply and loading of ammunition on the K-55A1 self-propelled artillery. As the core item responsible for ammunition movement control, the servo control unit is required to have good communication stability and reliability, but the conventional unit has recognized a problem that communication error intermittently occurs, resulting in an emergency stop phenomenon. We analyzed the communication signal of the servo control unit and identified the failure cause of the circuit card assembly to solve this problem. In addition, the signal interference in data/address line of the circuit card assembly was confirmed through analysis of the failure cause, and redesigned to avoid the interference, such as adjustment of the distance between communication lines and position change. Finally, the proposed cause analysis and redesign were verified through the component of servo control unit and attachment test on K56. We expected these study results to be used as reference for the design of other similar items.

  • 본 논문은 LCD 생산라인의 물류 자동화 시스템 중 컨베이어와 같은 선형 이송시스템에 적용이 가능한 영구자석 여자 횡자속 선형전동기 개발에 관한 내용이다. 3차원 등가 자기 회로망법을 이용한 해석과 3축 Load Cell을 이용한 정특성 실험을 통해 횡자속 선형전동기의 특성을 비교, 분석하여 물류 이송이 가능한 횡자속 선형전동기 추진모듈의 사양을 결정하였고, 시작품을 설계, 제작하여 컨베이어 시스템 등의 이송시스템에 적용 가능성 및 그 타당성을 검토하였다.

  • As the trend of the automation is increasing, the usage of the programmable automation equipments like programmable controller(PC), numerical controller(NC), distributed control systems(DCS) and robot controller is greatly expanding in the area of the industrial equipments. But the development of the programing language for the programmable automatic equipment is rarely accomplished. In this paper, we propose design and implementation technique of the real-time mechanism control language by adding time constraint constructs and timing analysis constructs ot conditional statement and iteration statement of a programming language. Moreover, we made it possible to predict plausibility of time constraint constructs of a real time application program at compilation time and developing execution time analysiss technique.

  • Recent industrial processes have been complicated and automated. In order to improve the system reliability and solve the limitation of human ability, the necessity of alarm analysis or fault diagnosis has been rapidly grown, A "dictionary" made by a sequence computer programming has been developed as one of the mothods for fault diagnosis in the chemical industrial processes and its usefulness has been proved through the experiment. It also suggests a way to simplity the recent alarm system being complex.g complex.

  • This paper presents a network-based automation system for the detection of metallic objects in food and livestock. A metal detector is a core equipment used for the inspection required by HACCP. Since the existing metal detectors are manufactured as a single-body equipment, it is difficult to take into account various user requirements for the system. In order to overcome the drawback, this study presents a network-based automation system for metal detector utilizing an industrial fieldbus and modular components. The proposed system can effectively consider the various customer requirements and control schemes. The proposed system can also achieve the improvement in speed and success rate of detecting metallic objects. The effectiveness of the proposed system is demonstrated through a various experiments.

  • This paper proposes a new algorithmic state machine(ASM) chart and a new hardware description for automatic logic design of VLSI. To describe the behavioral characteristics of the design specification, the conventional ASM chart is modified, and a new hardware description language, SDL, is proposed. The SDL is one-to-one correspondent to the proposed ASM chart symbol, and can be used in a hierachical design of VLSI. As a design example, we obtain a logic circuit diagram of gate lebel utilizing a SDL hardware compiler after drawing an ASM chart and describing in SDL.
