As patient satisfaction is a crucial component of improved health care outcomes, there is a need to evaluate the relationship between physicians' attitude and patients' satisfaction. The objective of this study is to examine the relationship between patients' satisfaction and physicians' friendly and caring attitudes by using recent physician ratings by patients. Data from a cross-sectional survey using a convenience sampling was utilized to examine the relationship between physicians' attitudes and patients' satisfaction. The independent variable was the physician's attitude, and the dependent variables were patients' satisfaction with the physician and the office setting. A total of 273,994 patients it the US were included. The patients' average (standard deviation, SD) satisfaction with the physician was 78.08 (0.14), and the average (SD) satisfaction with the office setting was 78.62 (0.12) out of 100. Physicians' attitude was a significant predicting factor impacting the patients' satisfaction with the physician and the office setting (p < 0.001). To facilitate patients' satisfaction with healthcare, a continuous effort to develop physicians' ability to communicate in an empathetic manner should be undertaken so that patients perceive their physicians as empathetic.

Edentulous patients with a severely resorbed mandible or maxilla often experience problems with conventional dentures, such as insufficient stability and retention, together with a decrease in chewing ability. Because of the good prognosis of dental implants, these patients can be successfully treated with implant-retained or implant-supported prosthesis. Ideally, a maximum number of implants of maximum length are placed in appropriate surgically prepared sites that are surrounded by a maximum amount of bone of favorable quality. The implants are favorably aligned faciolingually and mesiodistally to enhance optimal prosthodontic design. This article describes the clinical problems and complications encountered when treating a consecutive number of edentulous patients with osseointegrated implant-supported prostheses.

In edentulous patients, the advantages of prosthodontic therapy using oral implants include both stability and comfort. Advantages suggested for this approach include the prevention of mandibular bone resorption and increased masticatory function. Implant hybrid prostheses place 4 to 6 implants between the mental foramens, and cantilevers are used to replace the posterior teeth at both ends. The 85 - year - old female patient visited our clinic with complete edentulism in the maxilla and mandible. This article reports a satisfactory clinical and esthetic outcome of full mouth rehabilitation using removable complete denture in the maxilla and implant hybrid prosthesis in the mandible.

Purpose : This study aimed to identify nurses' job satisfaction, patients' satisfaction, and direct nursing time according to the change in grade of nursing management fee. Methods : Descriptive design was used in this study. Nurses (n = 200) and patients (n = 200) were recruited from one university hospital in Busan. Four aspects were measured: direct nursing time, overtime, nurses' job satisfaction, and patients' satisfaction. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2-tests$, and t-tests. Results : There was a significant difference in patient satisfaction (t = -2.09, p = .038) and direct nursing time (t = -4.77, p < .001) when the nurse staffing grade was changed from the level two to the level one. Conclusion : The findings from this study showed that a higher nurse-to-patient ratio can provide a greater amount of direct nursing time for individual patients and increase patient satisfaction.

The object of this paper is to design a biomedical signal measure systems based on sensor networks for the patient, integrated with computing technology. Using a combination of zigbee RF, embedded hardware and software technologies, as it allows the healthcare center to receive the information on emergency situations and the ordinary state of the patients individually or simultaneously, the healthcare center can copy with quickly a state of emergency and assist the normal life of the patient. In order to meet the low power and other requirements for the proposed system, we introduce a zigbee based RP which is the most suitable solution for improving the performance of our beeper system.

One of the main techniques for diagnosing heart disease is by examining the electrocardiogram(ECG). Many studies on detecting the QRS complex, P, and T waves have been performed because meaningful information is contained in these parameters. However, the earlier detection techniques can not effectively extract those parameters from the ECG that is severely contaminated by noise source. In this paper, we performed the extracting parameters from and recovering the ECG signal using wavelets transform that has recently been applying to various fields.

The therapeutic methods and follow - up prognosis of subcondylar fractures in adults have always been sources of controversy. To improve the therepeutic results in subcondylar fractures with displacement, and especially, the bicondylar ones, the auther employ the surgical reduction using of sagittal split and oblique subcondylar osteotomy. This report is illustrated by six clinical cases.

Long-term use of ill-fitting dentures may cause irregular movements of the mandible. In such cases, satisfactory outcomes both in terms of function and esthetics could be achieved by accurate registration of mandibular movement and centric relation when fabricating new dentures. In this case, treatment dentures with flat occlusal tables were used to register centric relation and mandibular movements of a patient with erratic mandibular movements.

The progressive attrition of teeth is a normal process by aging. However, excessive tooth wear with decreased vertical dimension of occlusion and collapse of occlusal plane may cause pathologic pulpal condition, occlusal disharmony and functional disorders. In this case, a patient with severely worn dentition was treated. Diagnostic wax-up was performed at the increased vertical dimension. After evaluation of provisional restorations for 12 weeks, final restorations were fabricated with zirconia crown and routine clinical assessments were made. Esthetically and functionally satisfactory results were obtained.

Loss of tooth results in remodeling and resorption of surrounding alveolar bone which causes atrophic edentulous ridge and gradually decreasing gingival attachment. As a result, edentulous patients face difficulty in using dentures due to pain, decrease of support, decline of masticatory efficiency of complete denture. To improve this, overdenture with implant in the mandible and attachment are considered as a treatment of choice as a favorable treatment. In this case, a patient with edentulous ridge for long period is rehabilitated by complete denture in maxilla and implant overdenture using Locator$^{(R)}$ attachment in mandible.
