최근 환경변화와 국제교류의 확대로 인하여 예전에는 문제가 되지 않았거나, 보이지 않았던 해충들이 문제해충화 되어 우리 주변에서 정원수나 조경수에 피해를 주는 해충들이 있다. 이들은 크게 3가지로 분류되는데 (1)환경의 변화에 의한 잠재해충과 문제해충화 (2) 인간의 욕심에 의해 대면적 식재로 인한 해충의 기회 확대 (3) 국제교류 확대로 인한 외래 해충의 침입 으로 나눌 수 있다. 이번 호에서는 환경변화에 의한 해충의 발생으로 환경스트레스에 의해 식물 자체 내의 방어체계가 무너지면 어떤 특정종이나 일반 해충이 대발생하는데 식물자체 환경 스트레스에 관계하는 jasmonate의 작용 저해, 식물이 자기방어를 위해 분비하는 타감물질(allelopathy)의 분비 억제, 초식성 곤충으로부터 산란억제를 위한 연모의 부족 등 해충의 대발생을 야기 시키는 경우도 있다. 또한 지구온난화로 인한 각종 해충의 대발생은 현재 전 세계적으로 문제가 되고 있다. 기온의 상승으로 곤충의 발육이 빨라져 화기 수가 증가한다거나, 포식자와 피식자의 상호작용의 연결고리가 깨어지는 등 각종 원인으로 인한 최근 발생한 해충을 기술하였다.

전 세계적으로 환경문제에 대한 위기감이 확산되면서 과거에는 국지적인 환경오염문제였던 것이 지구 온실효과, 산성비, 오존층 파괴 등의 형태로 범지구적인 환경오염 문제로서 심각히 대두되고 있다. 지구 환경오염의 주 요인들인 $CO_2$, SOx, NOx의 배출 규제기준은 점점 더 강화되어 기존의 석탄 화력발전기술로는 엄격해지는 환경기준을 만족시키는 데 한계가 있다. 따라서 기존기술을 대체할 수 있는 신 발전기술의 개발이 절실한 실정이다.(중략)

최근 서부경남에서는 대형 화력발전소 및 제철소 등에서 배출되어진 대기오염물질로 인한 대기질 악화 및 대기환경의 산성화가 문제가 중요한 지역 대기환경오염문제로 대두되고 있으며, 그 피해사항도 언론매체를 통해 자주 보도되고 있다. 이러한 대기환경 오염문제를 해결하기 위해 지방정부에서는 각종 대기보전정책을 제시하고 있으나, 보다 구체적이고 효과적인 대기질 개선방안을 마련하기 위해서는 실제 정확한 대기오염의 현황 파악을 통한 적극적인 대책방안이 요구된다.(중략)

With the change of patterns and the environment of the national standard of living the prohlem of environmental pollution became increasingly serious. Because of the enormous increase of various kinds of used and (after utilization) useless articles, efforts to save resources as well as the environment and the promotion of reprated utilization and recycling are inavoidable. The recognition of an environmental an health problem, and the desire for nonpollution created a desire for environment-friendly products in order to avoid an environmental consumptionism. Drink vending machines making use of vessels only once are closely related to the environmental problem. It is therefore necessary to develop an ecologically designed vending machine. In this study the backgrounds and concepts of green design, classification, construction and the environment of a drink vending machine arc analyzed. From this st1.rting-point a concept for the design of a drink vending machine is developed by two concepts : Type A (seperated-gathering type) and Type B (recycling type). Then three defferent types of vending-machines arc introduced a wall -adherable type, a center est1.blishable type and a desk top type. The conclusion of the text is threefold. There are needs for an ecological design of vending machines, ergonomIc considerations and a harmonization of the styldapperarance) of the machine and its circumferences.

Development of network and computer technology results in many studies to use physically distributed computers as a single resource. Generally, these studies have focused on developing environments based on message passing. These environments are mainly used to solve problems for scientific computation and process in parallel suing inside parallelism of the given problems. Therefore, these environments provide high parallelism generally, while it is difficult to program and use as well as it is required to have user accounts in the distributed computers. If a given problem is divided into completely independent subproblems, more efficient environment can be provided. We can find these problems in bio-informatics, 3D animatin, graphics, and etc., so the development of new environment for these problems can be considered to be very important. Therefore, we suggest new environment called InterCom based on a proxy computing, which can solve these problems efficiently, and explain the implementation of this environment. This environment consists of agent, server, and client. Merits of this environment are easy programing, no need of user accounts in the distributed computers, and easiness by compiling distributed code automatically.

In the information and knowledge-based society, problem-solving ability to utilize information and to cope with various problem situations is considered to be much more important than simply memorized knowledge. On the basis of such needs of the current society, various studies were conducted focusing on the merits of e-learning to create learning environments that can help students acquire basic knowledge and develop problem-solving abilities. This study attempted to design and develop a web-based learning environment for problem-solving applying cognitive apprenticeship that can help students develop their thinking skills and problem-solving strategies. The results of this study can be utilized as a method to connect traditional classrooms to e-Learning.

급속한 고도성장에 의한 도시화는 인구의 고밀도화, 교통문제, 도시문제 등의 각종 환경문제를 야기시키고 있다. 특히 교통문제는 늘어나는 교통량에 비해 교통기반시설이 너무도 부족하여 시간대 구분없이 교통체증이 날로 심각해지고 있다. 따라서 지상교통 수단의 한계를 해소하기 위해 많은 승객들을 신속하고 안전하게 수송할 수 있는 교통수단으로 지하철을 건설하게 되었다. 지하공간의 활용이 증가되면서 도심지 지하상가와 지하철 역사를 연결하여 경제성 높은 상권을 형성하는 지하상가가 발달하고 있다. (중략)

21세기 최대 화두는 바로 환경문제. 극지방의 빙하가 녹아 사라지고 기상이변으로 인한 자연재해 빈도가 급증함에 따라 이제 환경문제는 먼 미래가 아닌 바로 오늘의 문제로 인식되고 있다. 환경문제가 대두되면서 항공 산업분야 역시 현실적인 친환경 계획을 속속 발표하고 실천에 옮기고 있다. 그 중에서도 가장 눈에 띄는 것이 바로 퇴역 항공기의 재활용 프로젝트다. 퇴역과 동시에 고절 취급을 받는 항공기를 어떻게 재활용 하겠다는 것인지 관련 기술에 대해 알아본다.
