A Study of Recommending Service Using Mining Sequential Pattern based on Weight (가중치 기반의 순차패턴 탐사를 이용한 추천서비스에 관한 연구)

  • Along with the advent of ubiquitous computing environment, it is becoming a part of our common life style that the demands for enjoying the wireless internet using intelligent portable device such as smart phone and iPad, are increasing anytime or anyplace without any restriction of time and place. The recommending service becomes a very important technology which can find exact information to present users, then is easy for customers to reduce their searching effort to find out the items with high purchasability in e-commerce. Traditional mining association rule ignores the difference among the transactions. In order to do that, it is considered the importance of type of merchandise or service and then, we suggest a new recommending service using mining sequential pattern based on weight to reflect frequently changing trends of purchase pattern as time goes by and as often as customers need different merchandises on e-commerce being extremely diverse. To verify improved better performance of proposing system than the previous systems, we carry out the experiments in the same dataset collected in a cosmetic internet shopping mall.

Noise Rabust Speaker Verification Using Sub-Band Weighting (서브밴드 가중치를 이용한 잡음에 강인한 화자검증)

  • Speaker verification determines whether the claimed speaker is accepted based on the score of the test utterance. In recent years, methods based on Gaussian mixture models and universal background model have been the dominant approaches for text-independent speaker verification. These speaker verification systems based on these methods provide very good performance under laboratory conditions. However, in real situations, the performance of speaker verification system is degraded dramatically. For overcoming this performance degradation, the feature recombination method was proposed, but this method had a drawback that whole sub-band feature vectors are used to compute the likelihood scores. To deal with this drawback, a modified feature recombination method which can use each sub-band likelihood score independently was proposed in our previous research. In this paper, we propose a sub-band weighting method based on sub-band signal-to-noise ratio which is combined with previously proposed modified feature recombination. This proposed method reduces errors by 28% compared with the conventional feature recombination method.

  • Commercial analysis has been used for a lot of reasons such as improving the distribution structure, operational cost savings. However, existing commercial assay system is mostly flow through the analysis of the population and the environment around the store. Therefore, in this paper, we design a path weighted data analysis system for efficient product arrangement. It is not applying the analysis method of the existing commercial sales center but the data analysis system applying the weight to the form of customers' paths in a store. In conjunction with the existing POS system, it provides effective product placement in department stores, such as supermarkets, convenience stores. To this end, a system that maximizes efficiency of product placement in stores, receiving path data, converting them into statistics data that apply the weight, and printing out them into a visualized monitering system for the manager to see was designed.

  • The government continuously improves the RPS system to expand the supply of renewable energy, but there has been criticism that more environmental aspects should be considered to reduce GHG emission. REC weights are differentiated according to renewable energy sources. Greenhouse gas emission is one of the decisive factors, and its value is set by experts' opinion. This study assigns LCA to get accurate value of GHG emission. The LCA calculates emitted greenhouse gases from entire process of fuel production, transportation, power plant construction, operation, and decommission. This study suggests a method to change the greenhouse gas reduction effect from the existing qualitative method to the quantitative method and evaluates them. As a result, the evaluation score is changed, but the tier interval is so large that it does not affect the REC weight. Therefore, this study suggests the way that directly reflect the greenhouse gas reduction effect in the REC weight.

Learning Heuristics for Tactical Path-finding in Computer Games (컴퓨터 게임에서 전술적 경로 찾기를 위한 휴리스틱 학습)

  • Tactical path-finding in computer games is path-finding where a path is selected by considering not only basic elements such as the shortest distance or the minimum time spend but also tactical information of surroundings when deciding character's moving trajectory. One way to include tactical information in path-finding is to represent a heuristic function as a sum of tactical quality multiplied by a weighting factor which is.. determined based on the degree of its importance. The choice of weighting factors for tactics is very important because it controls search performance and the characteristic of paths found. In this paper. we propose a method for improving a heuristic function by adjusting weights based on the difference between paths on examples given by a level designer and paths found during the search process based on the CUITent weighting factors. The proposed method includes the search algorithm modified to detect search errors and learn heuristics and the perceptron-like weight updating formular. Through simulations it is demonstrated how different paths found by tactical path-finding are from those by traditional path-finding. We analyze the factors that affect the performance of learning and show the example applied to the real game environments.

FLIR and CCD Image Fusion Algorithm Based on Adaptive Weight for Target Extraction (표적 추출을 위한 적응적 가중치 기반 FLIR 및 CCD 센서 영상 융합 알고리즘)

  • In automatic target recognition(ATR) systems, target extraction techniques are very important because ATR performance depends on segmentation result. So, this paper proposes a multi-sensor image fusion method based on adaptive weights. To incorporate the FLIR image and CCD image, we used information such as the bi-modality, distance and texture. A weight of the FLIR image is derived from the bi-modality and distance measure. For the weight of CCD image, the information that the target's texture is more uniform than the background region is used. The proposed algorithm is applied to many images and its performance is compared with the segmentation result using the single image. Experimental results show that the proposed method has the accurate extraction performance.

  • In this paper, we proposed a nonlinear synthesis filter for noise reduction to reduce the effects of Gaussian noise and impulse noise. When the centralization of the local mask is judged to be Gaussian noise by the noise judgment, the weight value of the weight filter are applied differently according to the spatial weight filter and the pixel change by using the sample variance in the local mask. And if it is determined as the impulse noise, we proposed an algorithm that applies different weights of local histogram weight filter and standard median filter according to noise density of mask. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed filter algorithm, we used PSNR(peak signal to noise ratio) and compared existing methods and proposed filter algorithm in the mixed noise environment with Gaussian noise, impulsive noise, and two noises mixed.

Study on Classification Algorithm based on Weight of Support and Confidence Degree (지지도와 신뢰도의 가중치에 기반한 분류알고리즘에 관한 연구)

  • Most of any existing classification algorithm in data mining area have focused on goals improving efficiency, which is to generate decision tree more rapidly by utilizing just less computing resources. In this paper, we focused on the efficiency as well as effectiveness that is able to generate more meaningful classification rules in application area, which might consist of the ontology automatic generation, business environment and so on. For this, we proposed not only novel function with the weight of support and confidence degree but also analyzed the characteristics of the weighted function in theoretical viewpoint. Furthermore, we proposed novel classification algorithm based on the weighted function and the characteristics. In the result of evaluating the proposed algorithm, we could perceive that the novel algorithm generates more classification rules with significance more rapidly.

  • 무선 링크를 사용하는 모바일 기기는 모바일 기기의 이동 혹은 무선 링크의 충돌, 부족한 대역폭등 모바일 기기의 외적 환경 변화에 의해 잦은 단절과 실패를 겪게 된다. 이러한 환경 변화를 예측할 수 있다면, 모바일 기기 내의 어플리케이션이 상황에 따른 적절한 대응을 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 어플리케이션이 링크의 환경 변화에 적응할 수 있도록, 링크의 상태 정보를 이용하여 상태를 예측할 수 있는 가중치 알고리즘과 상태 변화의 정도를 추정할 수 있는 기울기 값을 이용한 Watermark 기반의 링크 상태 추적 알고리즘을 제안한다.

Bi-modal speech recognition in noisy environments (잡음환경에서의 바이모달 음성인식)

  • 기존의 음성인식시스템의 잡음환경에서 인식률의 한계를 극복하기 위해 음성신호뿐만이 아니라 입술정보를 결합하여 음성인식에 이용하여 바이모달(Bi-modal) 음성인식이 근래에 제안되어지고 있다. 그래서 바이모달 음성인식 시스템을 실제로 구현해보고 인식 실험을 수행해 보았다. 입술영상은 이미지에 근거한 입술모양을 파라메터화하여 인식실험에 사용하였으며 음성과 입술영상을 각각 인식한 후 인식스코어(Score)에 가중치를 적용하여 통합하는 방법을 사용하였다. 마지막으로 바이모달 음성인식의 잡음환경에서의 성능을 알아보기 위해 음성신호에 여러 레벨의 잡음을 섞어서 실험을 하고 잡음환경에서 인식률의 한계를 입술정보를 이용하여 극복할 수 있다는 것을 보이고자 한다.
