Proposal for Ignition Source and Flammable Material Safety Management through 3D Modeling of Hazardous Area: Focus on Indoor Mixing Processes (폭발위험장소 구분도의 3D Modeling을 통한 점화원 및 가연물 안전관리 방안 제안: 실내 혼합공정을 중심으로)

  • Purpose: This study aims to propose measures for the prevention of fire and explosion accidents within manufacturing facilities by improving the existing classification criteria for hazardous locations based on the leakage patterns of flammable liquids. The objective is to suggest ways to safely manage ignition sources and combustible materials. Method: The hazardous locations were calculated using "KS C IEC 60079-10-1," and the calculated explosion hazard distances were visualized in 3D. Additionally, the formula for the atmospheric dispersion of flammable vapors, as outlined in "P-91-2023," was utilized to calculate the dispersion rates within the hazardous locations represented in 3D. Result: Visualization of hazardous locations in 3D enabled the identification of blind spots in the floor plan, facilitating immediate recognition of ignition sources within these areas. Furthermore, when calculating the time taken for the Lower Explosive Limit (LEL) to reach within the volumetric space of the hazardous locations represented in 3D, it was found that the risk level did not correspond identically with the explosion hazard distances. Conclusion: Considering the atmospheric dispersion of flammable liquids, it was concluded that safety management should be conducted. Therefore, a method for calculating the concentration values requiring detection and alert based on realistically achievable ventilation rates within the facility is proposed.

Frame Analysis on Risk Reporting: Food Safety Reports from 1989 to 2005 (위험보도의 위기구축 기제 프레임 분석: 식품안전 보도를 중심으로)

  • This frame analysis attempts to shed light on the process by which the Korean press constructs crisis as social reality through a series of risk reporting on food safety. Based on the FSSI(Food Safety Sentiment Index) developed by KIHASA(Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs), 11 cases of food safety reports from 1989 to 2005 were collected from the Korean Integrated News Database System(KINDS) and analyzed to yield the following salient features: risk diffusion frame; attribution of responsibility frame; conflict frame. It was observed that the press exhibited a tendency to approach the food safety incidents from a bi-polarized perspective, amplifying dichotomy between the victim and the perpetrator rather than treating them as scientific, or environmental hazards that require precise and synthesized information for resolution. This occupational habit of attributing status to agents of news was also found to contribute towards construction of crisis as social reality.

Additionally, in the case of passenger ship is more serious for the reason of not only the property damage but also large life accident can be occurred continuously. When the fire occurs, the many smoke to occur simultaneously as well as the heat from combustion process and the poisonous smoke is brought the life damage as the death from suffocation The purpose of this study is to examine the smoke movement characteristics in the ship's indoor spaces with fire size and location An experimental study was carried out with two sized of fires and three typed of fire source locations. As the results, the smoke and heat diffusion characteristics Ms been showed the most quick rise curve in the case of comer type fire.

  • 본 연구는 사회연결망 분석이론을 통해 원자력 과학기술에 대한 사회과학 연구의 경향적 특징을 파악하고, 동 분야의 주요 연구주제와 하부 연구분야를 도출하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구대상은 1957년부터 2016년까지 국내 학술지에 게재된 원자력 관련 사회과학 분야 연구논문 605건으로, 저자가 제시한 키워드 간 관계망 형성을 통해 네트워크 분석을 수행하였다. 분석결과, 첫째 국내에서 수행된 원자력 관련 사회과학 연구의 기술통계적 특징을 확인하였다. 원자력 사회과학 연구는 1957년부터 시작되어 꾸준히 수행되어졌는데, 2011년을 기점으로 논문발표가 급격히 증가했다. 주로 법학, 행정학, 정책학, 정치학의 연구가 대학 내 연구자를 중심으로 수행되어 왔다. 원자력 관련 기술개발이 주로 정부 출연연구기관에서 수행된다는 점을 고려 했을 때, 향후 사회과학 분야에 있어 대학과 출연기관 간의 역할분담이 필요하다. 둘째, 후쿠시마 원전사고가 발생한 2011년을 기점으로 사회과학의 원자력에 관한 연구가 양적, 질적으로 본격적으로 활성화 되었다. 원자력 관련 사회과학 지식 네트워크는 2011년 이전에 비해 규모면에서 큰 차이를 보였다. 또한, 네트워크 중심성 분석결과, 후쿠시마 사고 이전 사회과학 연구자들의 연구경향은 핵비확산, 과학기술 정책, 사회수용성이었다면, 후쿠시마 이후에는 원전해체, 손해배상, 에너지믹스, 탈핵운동 등과 같은 다양한 원자력 현안으로 확대되었다. 셋째, 하부 연구분야 도출을 통해 특정 연구주제별 쏠림현상을 확인했다. 하부 네트워크 분석 결과, 제시된 9개의 하부 연구분야는 네트워크 속성 값에서 차이를 보였다. 특히, 법학 관련 연구주제가 가장 높은 밀도를 갖는 반면 지속가능 발전과 에너지 믹스 관련 연구주제의 밀도가 가장 낮게 나타났다. 본 연구는 원자력에 관련된 학자의 인식을 연구경향 분석을 통해 파악한다는 점에서 의의가 있으며, 이는 추후 원자력 관련 정책연구자 혹은 정책결정자에게 유용한 기초자료를 제공할 것이라 기대된다.

  • In this study, the goal is to spread profound knowledge and theory through providing with accumulated methods in mathematics education to the students who are relatively neglected in educational benefits. The process is divided into 3 categories: mathematics for obtaining common sense and intelligence, practical math for application, and math as a liberal art to elevate their characters. Furthermore, it includes the reasons for studying math, improving problem-solving skills, machinery application learning, introduction to code(cipher) theory and game theory, utilizing GSP to geometry learning, and mathematical relations to sports and art. Based on these materials, the next step(goal) is to train graduate students to conduct researches in teaching according to the teaching plan, as well as developing interesting and effective teaching plan for the remote high school learners.

  • From bar code systems and radio frequency identification (RFID) to beacons utilizing low power bluetooth technology, the fusion of information technology and health and medical treatment is spreading through advances such as automated treatment and examination stages and the use of treatment information connected to smart devices. In this paper, designed and implemented a mobile health care system for the safe management of blood transfusions to prevent accidental problems that can occur during patient blood transfusions. It makes safe and effective blood transfusion possible by using smart devices to read information saved on patient bracelets, blood-collecting containers, blood transfusion bags, and medical personnel identification cards so that they match patient information. By applying the blood transfusion management mobile health care system presented and implemented in this paper to blood transfusion processes in hospitals, it was verified that it allows for safe and effective blood transfusion, preventing accidents which may occur in blood transfusion processes.

  • The government enforced policies such as social distancing and limiting business hours to prevent the spread of COVID-19. However, the impact of the long-term COVID-19 pandemic is causing more serious difficulties for small business owners. The government intended to relieve the business management pressure for small business owners by drawing up the COVID-19 emergency disaster relief funds. The funds provided temporary support for the small business owners, but the prolonged pandemic worsened the business management difficulties. Therefore, this study will apply fixes that fail and shifting the burden archetypes from the system archetype of system thinking for the exploratory deduction of policy measures as the policy leverage to effectively enhance the recovery of small business owners. In response to the situation, emergency financial aid for small business owners and support that can enhance the self-sustaining powers are required to heighten the recovery of small business owners.

무인이동체 드론의 취약점분석 및 대응기술 연구 동향

  • 군사 등의 특수 목적으로만 사용되었던 무인비행체 드론이 최근 상용 수준의 간결한 구조와 저가화가 가능해지면서 여러 제조업체를 통하여 민간분야의 다양한 응용에 활용 가능함을 증명하고 있다. 그러나 제조업체들 간의 시장 우위 선점을 위한 과열 경쟁으로 인하여 보안 안전성 검증 단계를 거치지 않은 드론과 이에 수반되는 애플리케이션이 시장에 바로 출시되면서 이들이 우리 사회를 향한 공격도구로 활용될 수 있다는 새로운 잠재적 위협이 우려되고 있다, 이와 관련하여 현재 드론과 애플리케이션과의 연결 및 데이터 통신 과정에서 완성도가 낮은 접근제어 기술이나 암호화되지 않은 통신방식을 비롯하여 드론 내부 소프트웨어의 코딩 상의 문제점 등에 의하여 다양한 취약점이 노출되고 있는 상태이다. 이러한 취약점들로 인하여 드론의 인증 해제 및 하이재킹을 통한 불법 영상촬영이나 개인정보의 유출 등을 비롯하여 특정 목표물을 향한 드론의 고의적 추락 등이 발생할 경우 재산 피해뿐만 아니라 인명 피해까지 발생할 수 있다. 특히, 현재의 드론 응용은 초기단계여서 향후 다양한 응용과 유관 기술들이 폭넓게 전개되어야 하는 시점에서 이러한 사고 가능성은 매우 심각하게 인식되어야 할 것이다. 더구나 제4차 산업혁명 시대의 드론은 비상시를 위한 다이나믹 모바일 게이트웨이 역할까지도 수행하여야 하는 환경에서 악의적인 행위는 전체 사회로 확산될 우려도 있으므로 미래 사회의 드론을 위한 안전문제는 매우 시급하고 중대하다고 할 수 있다. 이에 본 고에서는 현재까지 발표된 드론에 대한 다양한 보안위협을 조사하고 이러한 보안 위협을 요소별로 분류하여 정리하였다. 본 기고가 간단하게나마 정리한 내용을 통하여 다양한 보안위협에 대한 대응기술을 준비하기 위한 시발점이 되었으면 한다.

An Analysis of Students' Reports on an Assigned Problem for 'Adhesive Tape' in the first Korean Youth Physics Tournament (제1회 한국물리탐구토론대회에 출제된 "접착 테이프(Adhesive tape)" 문제 풀이에 대한 분석)

  • We have analyzed students' reports on a problem for 'adhesive tape' among ten assigned problems in the first Korean youth physics tournament (KYPT). There were five team' s reports on this problem. Students reported that the reasons for lightening coming out from the stripping down adhesive tape are caused by electrostatic friction, electron transfer, energy transformation, etc. However, only few teams suggest new creative ideas with divergent thinking during their inquiry process. Because the KYPT is a debate based on the problem solving by inquiries, the reports should include the creative investigations by their own ideas in every steps of inquiry up to their final conclusions.
