Network Modeling on Track Circuit and Analysis of Resistance Characteristic on Wood Sleeper (궤도회로의 단자망 모델링 및 목침목 저항 특성 해석)

  • Sleepers perform bearing rails and are underneath rails. Therefore, the current and voltage of rails are related to the resistance of sleepers. In case that the resistance of sleepers are low, operation problems of relays in tr ack circuits are occur because of flowing leakage current through sleepers. So the condition that the track circuit is always occupied by a train is kept. Currently, the creosote has been used in wood sleepers due to prevention against putrefaction. After a long time, the material is changeable to the chemistry material bases on carbon dioxide or carbon. So, the insulation resistance of wood sleepers is lower than the initial insulation resistance. In case of effecting wood sleepers as conductors, amplitude of the current and voltage on rails is decreased. This phenomenon causes that a train does not receive signals. In this paper, four-network model on the track circuit including the insulation resistance of sleepers is suggested. Also, the standard value of the resistance in straight section is proposed in the wood sleeper.

Electrochemical Performance of Composite Active Materials (Activated Carbon + $LiCoO_2$) Electrode (혼합 활물질 (활성탄소 + $LiCoO_2$) 전극의 전기화학적 특성)

  • 활성탄소를 양쪽 전극에 사용하는 전기이중층 커패시터는 고출력 특성과 반영구적인 cycle 수명인 장점을 가지고 있는 반면, 단위 중랑 또는 부피 당 용량이 작아 메모리 백업용 보조전원으로서의 활용에 그치고 있다. 이를 보완하기 위하여 최근에는 앙쪽의 전극에 충방전 메카니즘을 달리하는 비대칭 전극 설계기술을 기반으로 하는 하이브리드 커패시터가 개발되었고, 에너지밀도로서는 유기계 전해액에서 약 15-20 Wh/kg를 가지는 것으로 보고되고 있다. 본 연구메서는 양극의 활성탄소에 비용량이 상대적으로 큰 LiCo02 분말을 혼합한 하이브리드 전극의 제조 및 전기화학적 특성을 조사하였다. 이때 $LiCoO_2$ 분말의 혼합 종량비의 영향에 의한 전극 부피 당 용량(mAh/cc)의 변화와 $LiCoO_2$ 분말의 입자 크기에 의한 하이브리드 전극의 출력 특성을 조사하였다. $LiCoO_2$ 분말은 불밀을 이용하여 입자크기를 조절하였고, 각각의 입자크기를 가지는 LiCoO2 분말을 활성탄소와 함께 혼합하여 혼합 활물질 : Carbon black : PTFE의 중량비가 90 : 5 : 5가 되도록 sheet 전극을 제조하였다. 제조한 전극을 양극에, Li foil을 음극에, 전해액을 LiPF6 in EC DMC를 사용하여 코인셀을 제조하고 전기화학적 특성은 MACCOR 충방전기를, AC 저항은 AC impedance를 각각 사용하여 평가하였다. 활성탄소에 $LiCoO_2$ 분말의 첨가 중량비가 증가할수록 전극 부피 당 용량은 증가하였으나, 원료 상태의 $LiCoO_2$ 분말의 첨가에서는 코인셀의 전극 저항은 첨가 중량에 따라 단순 증가하였다. 그러나 미세 $LiCoO_2$ 분말을 첨가할 경우, 20%의 첨가에서 전극 저항은 활성탄소 만을 사용한 전극과 동등한 전극저항을 나타내고 충방전 cycle 특성도 개선되는 것을 확인하였다.

장풍 폐광산의 산성광산폐수에 의한 침출수 유동에 대한 지구물리 및 지화학탐사자료의 상관해석

  • Geophysical surveys(self-potential, electromagnetic, electrical resistivity, and seismic refraction methods) were performed to delineate the flow channel of leachate from a AMD (acid mine drainage) by correlating the anomalies to geochemical characteristics at an abandoned mine (Jangpoong mine). The geophysical responses attempted to be correlated with water sample analysis data(pH, EC, heavy metals, ${SO_4}^{-2}$). Electrical dipole-dipole resistivity sections represent the low-resistivity zone trending northwest, which indicates the leachate flow by AMD along the contact of the mine waste rock dump and the bedrock. From the overall points of geophysical and geochemical anomalies, it is summarized that the flow channel of leachate by AMD can be successfully imaged with composite interpretations on the geophysical and geochemical studies.

  • 해수환경하의 콘크리트 구조물은 동결융해의 반복에 의한 물리적인 침식과 해수중에 용존하는 각종의 이온들의 침투로 인한 화학적 침식에 의해 현저한 성능저하현상을 나타내는 것으로 알려져있다. 본 연구는 포졸란계 혼합재인 플라이 애쉬, 슬래그, 슬리카 흄과 폴리머계 혼합재인 Ethylene Vinyl Acetate(EVA), Styrene-Butadiene Rubber(SBR)를 사용하여 제조한 콘크리트 경화체의 해수환 경하에서 동결융해 저항성에 미치는 혼합재의 종류 및 첨가량의 영향, W/C의 영향을 비교 검토한 실험적 연구이다. 콘크리트의 동결융해 저항성을 위해서는 공기연행이 필수적이며, 공기연행시킨 경우 W/C가 낮을수록 동결융해 저항성이 우수하였다. 해수중에서의 동결융해 저항성은 슬래그분말을 첨가할 때 우수하였으며, 폴리머계 혼합재에서는 EVA가 우수한 결과를 나타내었다.

  • 석탄 화력 발전소 둥에서 배출되는 입자상의 분진은 대부분 고 비저항 분진이며, 분진의 전기저항치가 $10^{12}$ $\Omega$-cm 이상의 초고전기저항 분진에 대하여 역코로나 방지대책으로 S $O_3$ 주입기술이 있는데, 기존의 화학적인 주입설비는 매우 고가이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 배가스중의 S $O_2$ 가스를 전기 코로나 플라즈마에 의하여 S $O_3$로 변환시켜 궁극적으로 고 전기저항 분진의 전기저항을 저하시켜 고집진 효율을 달성하고자 하는 시스템에서 이에 대한 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 실험실 규모의 기초실험을 수행하였다(H. Material Characteristic of POFA Concrete and Its Application to Corrosion Resistance Evaluation (POFA 콘크리트의 재료특성 및 부식 저항성 평가로의 적용)

  • In this study, corrosion resistance of palm oil fuel ash (POFA) concrete as a blended concrete is evaluated by using electrochemical technique. The POFA is an industrial byproduct obtained from fuel ash after extracting palm oil from palm-tree. In order to obtain basic material characteristics of the POFA concrete, tests on compressive strength, slump, weight loss, bleeding and expansion ratio were carried out the early-aged POFA concrete. On the other hand, durability characteristics, both chloride penetration and carbonation depth test, were also conducted. Finally, corrosion resistance were evaluated by applying electro-chemical artificial crack healing technique, and the tests on the impressed voltage characteristic, galvanic current and linear polarization resistance. From the experimental results, it was found that long-term strength, bleeding, lower slump ratio, expansion ratio, chloride penetration, carbonation and corrosion resistance were improved by using the POFA due to activated pozzolanic reaction. It can be also mentioned that POFA concrete has a potential to be used as a cementitious binder for green-recycling resources.

  • In continuous research of detecting highly toxic chemical warfare agents to ensure preparedness for the future battlefield, flexible and wearable sensor platforms with high sensitivity are still demanding. Herein we demonstrate a facile fabrication of polypyrrole-based chemiresistors on cellulose paper for the detection of nerve gas simulants. In order to optimize electrical properties of sensor platform, conducting polymer made of polypyrrole were first synthesized on flexible cellulose paper and interdigitated electrodes were formed thereon. Following confirmation of polypyrrole and/or oxime moiety through FT-IR analyses, electrical characteristics were measured in the various ratio of monomers between simple pyrrole and oxime-modified one. Typically for the optimized chemiresistor(2:8 molar ratio of simple pyrrole and oxime-modified one), eleven species of chemical warfare agents were examined and enhanced conductivity(104~105 order) was observed for three simulants(diethyl cyanophosphonate, diisopropyl fluorophosphonate and diethyl chlorophosphonate), which was mainly attributed to intermolecular hydrogen bonding, while no significant responses was recorded against sixteen common volatile organic chemicals.

  • Chemical resistance of the cement mortar containing the Thermally Activated Diaomite(TAD) and H.M.(Heavy Metals) has been studied. The H.M.. extracted from EAF(Electrica1 Arc Furnace) Dust. were saturated with diatomite. The diatomite was then thermally activated at $750{\circ}C$ for 30minutes and powdeled. The powder was mixed with a portland cement on a weight basis from 0%. 2.5%. 5.0%. 10%. 20%. The optimum mixture. after those mixtures were subjected to compressive strength(7 and 28days) and leaching bchaviour of H.M.. was tested for its experiment on Wet/Dry cycles and chemical resistance(e.q. imrncrsion in 5%(Conc.) of H2S04, CaC12 and hlgSO4. It was shown that the cement, mortar containing 10% of' P.D. gave a rise to the remarkable increase in compressive strength. The compressive strength was generally decrease beyond the addition of 10% of P.D. The maximum $496kgf/cm^2$ of 28days compressive strength was acheiveti when 10% of P.D. was added to the cement mortar.

  • Organic solvent resistant hollow fiber membranes were fabricated via a thermally induced phase separation (TIPS) method using Polyketone polymer, a material with excellent resistance to organic solvents. The PEG300, DMSO2 and Glycerine called the "green solvents" were used as diluents for TIPS method. The spherulite structure was formed with DMSO2 by S-L phase separation behavior whereas the bicontinuous structures were formed with PEG300 and Glycerine, respectively. The morphology of the PK hollow fiber membranes was investigated using SEM. The pure water permeability and the durability test were conducted to understand the permeation properties of PK hollow fiber membranes. The tensile strength test was conducted for the property of mechanical strength. In this study, the fabrication of PK hollow fiber membranes with various diluents was discussed to understand the correlation between diluent and polymer in detail.
