Ixora auricularis (Rubiaceae), previously recognized as endemic to Yunnan (China), was reported in Vietnam. This plant differs from the closely related species Ixora coccinea in its auriculate shape of the base leaf, greater number of secondary veins, shorter stipules, calyx having more appendices, shorter corolla tube, and the oblanceolata shape of the corolla tip. Detailed information about its description as well as illustrations, color photographs and a species key of related species of Ixora in Vietnam are provided.

대한인쇄문화협회(회장 조정석)는 지난 10월 8일부터 12일까지 독일 프랑크푸르트 메쎄에서 개최된 2014 프랑크푸르트국제도서전에 한국인쇄문화관을 조성해 참가했다. 100여개국 7100여개사가 참가하고, 약 27만여 명이 방문한 이번 도서전에서 인협은 우리나라 인쇄의 우수성을 널리 홍보하는 한편, 직접참가 업체 및 위탁전시 업체들의 수출상담 활동을 적극 지원함으로써 총 220건 480만 유로에 달하는 수출상담 실적을 올렸다.

본지는 대한인쇄문화협회가 지난해 조성한 인쇄역사문화관 개관을 기념해 인쇄업계 경영인 2세들을 초청, 지난 1월8일 문화관 자료실에서 '정보화시대의 인쇄'라는 주제로 특별좌담되를 개최했다. 이날 좌담회에는 신원인쇄사(대표 김정숙) 김승효이사, 홍일문화인쇄사(회장 이연지) 장원혁실장, 성문인쇄사(대표 장현수) 장완호대리, 대양인쇄사(대표 양기성) 양종호과장, 홍보컴(대표 이광옥) 이지훈실장이 참석했으며 본지 유창준 국장의 사회로 진행됐다. 이날 좌담회 참석자는 디지털시대와 코드가 맞는 40대 이하이면서도 입사 기간이 10년이내인 경영인 2세들로 범위를 한정했다.

대한인쇄문화협회(회장 김남수)는 지난 10월 9일부터 13일까지 독일 프랑크푸르트 메쎄에서 개최된 2013 프랑크푸르트국제도서전에 문화체육관광부의 지원을 받아 한국인쇄문화관을 조성해 참가했다. 100여 개국 7300여 개사가 참가하고, 약 27만6000여 명이 방문한 이번 도서전에서 인협은 우리나라 인쇄의 우수성을 널리 홍보하는 한편, 직접참가 업체 및 위탁전시 업체들의 수출상담 활동을 적극 지원함으로써 층 280건 640만 유로에 달하는 수출상담 실적을 올렸다. 특히 이번 도서전에는 김재신 독일대사가 방문해 한국인쇄문화에 대한 큰 관심을 표명했다.

대한인쇄문화협회(회장 조정석)는 지난 9월 3일부터 7일까지 러시아 모스코바 국립경제전시장에서 개최된 2014 모스코바국제도서전에 한국인쇄문화관을 조성해 참가했다. 63개국 1027개시 참가한 가운데 2만$m^2$ 규모로 개최된 이번 도서전에서 인협은 우리나라 인쇄문화의 우수성을 널리 홍보하는 한편, 한국관 참가 업체들의 수출 상담을 적극 지원함으로씨 총 165건 240만 달러 규모에 달하는 수출상담 실적을 올렸다.

이춘화 신일미디어 사장이 지난 10월 12일 효창운동장에서 '하나되자 이북도민! 이뤄내자 남북통일!'이란 주제로 개최된 '제32회 대통령기 이북도민 체육대회'에서 영예의 국민훈장 동백장을 수훈했다. 이북도민(실향민)의 권익 신장을 통한 국가사회 발전에 이바지한 공로를 인정받은 것이다. 이 사장은 인쇄업계의 모범적인 인쇄인으로 지난 2006년에는 문화훈장(화관)을 수훈한 바 있다. 10월 29일 영등포 사무실에서 만난 이 사장은 인터뷰 내내 우리나라 통일정책에 대한 소신을 가감 없이 밝혔으며, 인쇄원로로서 인쇄인의 위상 제고를 위한 뼈 있는 충고를 잊지 않았다.

새로운 거래처를 발굴하는 것은 쉽지 않다. 특히 새로운 거래처가 우리나라가 아닌 외국에 있을 경우 더욱 어렵다. 우리나라 인쇄사들이 외국의 출판사에게 자사를 홍보하고, 인쇄물을 수주받기 위해서 어떻게 해야 할까? 가장 효과가 큰 것은 그들을 직접 만나 자사를 홍보하는 것이다. 대한인쇄문화협회(회장 김남수)는 매년 유럽과 미국 등 주요 국제도서전에 인쇄문화홍보관을 마련하고, 국내인쇄사들의 수출을 지원하고 있다. 인협은 지난 5월 30일부터 6월 1일까지 인쇄물을 가장 많이 수출하는 미국의 뉴욕 맨하탄에서 열린 북엑스포아메리카에 한국인쇄문화관을 조성하고 한국의 인쇄물 수출을 지원하는 활동을 펼쳤다.

We analyzed six cultivars of Chinese Moutan, Paeonia suffruticosa Andrews, using HPLC for the investigation of appropriate root harvesting time and distributions of paeonol and paeoniflorin according to the seasonal changes. The contents of paeonol remained nearly constant at different harvesting times. However, the paeoniflorin contents have changed significantly during the harvesting time. These showed the increasing tendency in May, July and September. We compared the distribution of two compounds between two cultivars with different flower forms, Dan Feng and Wu Long Feng Sheng. The contents of paeonol were very low in the leaf and annual shoot. This tendency was not changed during five harvesting times. But the paeoniflorin existed abundantly in the leaf and root. The contents of paeoniflorin in the leaf were highest in May, and gradually decreased.

Two Unrecorded species from Jeju Province are reported: Maesa japonica of Maesaceae which is unrecorded family and Cardamine tanakae of Brassicaceae. Monotypic family Maesaceae, is distinguished from Myrsinaceae and Primulaceae by having pedicels with a pair of bracteoles, flowers without staminodia, semi-inferior ovary and indehiscent fruits with many seeds. M. japonica is readily distinguishable from M. salicifolia in China and M. montana var. formosana in Taiwan and Japan by shapes of blades, corolla and bracteoles, the presence/absence of serrulation of leaf margins, ratio of length of corolla tube and corolla lobes, feature and color of fruit surface. C. tanakae is most similar to Korean endemic C. glechomifolia in morphology, however, the two taxa are readily distinguishable by the number of leaflets of cauline leaves, size of terminal leaflets, number of flowers per inflorescence, the presence of whitish hairs on ovary and fruits.
